Glad to finally see some stellaris multiplayer content, I enjoyed playing! It's unfortunate that with how unstable multiplayer is right now, this type of tournament is literally impossible. Hopefully videos like this bring more attention to multiplayer so these tournaments can keep hapenning.

these kinds of games are very rare, i do cast tournaments but this one was just especially insane hence i committed to making a 1 hour video to it lol

I’m confused about the beginning - are they getting *every* resource from leaders? If so, is it the (now old) patch where you could get (for example) 32 energy from a leader?

My god that was an epic stellaris tournament. Very epic and intense to the end. I play Stellaris much and even now i wouldnt say i know everything in the game. i played many games (Only vanilla nearly) and had intense moments in my multiplayer games, From an Devouring Hive mind to an unstoppable empire with millions of fleet power. But to be in such an tournament that gets observed by amazing stellaris KZreadrs i watch would be an dream for me. even if i would hardly lost against the more better player

Gonna be an interesting sight to see a corvette only stellaris tournament

paradox buffed leaders a little bit too much and in 3.9 you can pretty much get all your recouses from the leaders

This is from several months ago in the patch of madness. Things have since calmed down but apparently multiplayer stability has been bad so there haven't been many tournaments on the current patch.

Amazing vid

It would be great if you could ask the players to have their empire name include the players name for the next tournament. As a viewer, it was very difficult to identify which empire belongs to which player, especially because you and Montu usually only mention the player name while the empire name is visible on the map. Even after 50 minutes, I only know three players empires.

yeah, sorry about that on subsequent tourneys we actually did implement that specific rule to make it easier to understand who is who though implementation is rather lax, maybe needs to be reintroduced again more strictly

Im a new player to this game here, a week playing and still lots to learn. The question i have is about all those leaders. Why buy all those leaders? And what kind of leaders? Are they science and you make they help research on planets? Whats the strategy? Also love the video, i cant wait to try multiplayer, but i have lots to leaen first! ❤

Some thoughts after seeing how the tournament works: I think BtC in single player game should’ve also been 0 points in end game score if they can’t launch the engine in time, instead of providing BtC free bonus fleet power at stage four with only a minor diplomacy debuff.

Strat could you make a guide on stacking ship upkeep modifiers? Or just stacking all kind of modifiers in general? (including ship upkeep)

yeah we're using ALL DLC's learning through trials and tribulations i guess, the people playing in the video are very good players, some are veterans that have played for ages

I just finished, this was fantastic. But like if you were to flash the empire name, flag, maybe build type but definitely the player name all together someplace early (such as the first time they're mentioned) that'd make it so much easier for newcomers to follow.

Not sure myself but it appears that with the paragon DLC you can get resources from leaders... So you spam leaders which I assume turns into resources that you then translate into research instead of building resource districts.

Build that reduces leader cost, each leader provides ressources, fleet cap and lots of other goodies.

this was an old patch where people were spamming resource traits where they didn't need pops and just gave resources outright

Because of his traditions and being psionic this patch let him generate tons of free science, unity, and physical resources directly from the leaders. None of that has worked in a while but it was insane. They go into more detail if you watch the original vod of this.
