Alex, make sure you stuff those ventilation pipes with steel wool to block mice and rats and roaches from entering the residence. You can use an ample amount without restricting the airflow

This place would be great to live in full time! Saying "good job" is an understatement! Excellent would be more appropriate.

The wood looks so nice after you cleaned it! It makes it look more like a home than just a shack. Excellent! If you could put some polyurethane on the logs, it would help seal out bugs and make cleaning them much easier in the future. To those people who write unkind comments and criticism, I say, SHAME ON YOU. Ignore them, Alex, because they are just stupid. My Polish grandmother would say, "ignorance can be treated with knowledge; but stupid goes all the way to the bone!" If you leave some of the mushrooms, they were explode their spores so more will grow in the future.

"Ah - go jump in the lake" is a way we in the U.S. used to say to tell someone to shut up. I'm guessing, "Ah - go jump in the lake" is just what you did after all that sanding. Taco soup, amazing how food transcends language and culture.

Some sour cream and Tabasco sauce would be an awesome garnish for that soup. There's something about sour cream with Tabasco together. I love pickled Jalapenos, I eat them every day.

You need to put some dead trees ontop of the moss - to match the surroundings. Also, some sort of cover on the front window glass to block view / reflection from far away. Put lots of peppermint oil on rags inside - mice don't like that. Haven't seen any yet but its only a matter of time.

Alex, I don't think people realize how much time you put into this! you work hard, and you can see it in your underground shelter. People that are not happy with their selves have to pick apart someone else. Great job.

I think your camouflage would be much more effective if you were to place random patches of grass and twigs along with all of that moss. And add some plants with shallow root systems, all of that will help conceal your shelter from others.

It's going to be interesting to see how this amazing house handles the cold winter.

I think ventilation pipes that have an arch at the top so that it doesn't rain in is a good idea at first, but mice, rats, snakes, spiders, dormouse, martens and other creatures love open ventilation pipes laid above ground as a convenient entrance to your underground shelter, please For my love, put a sturdy, rust-proof metal grille on the top opening of your ventilation pipes.
