Question please, i have venev industrial stones, it sharpens knifes great up until 800 grit, at 1200 grit it dulls blade, i use axicube angle, to maintain same angle, but it doesn't help, so i have to re use 800 grit to bring my sharpness back, any suggestions?

it's hard to say. Either steel is too soft and these stones do not fit it or cutting edge is getting dull because you simply don't get rid of the burr at the final stage. There could be even more reasons.

It used to happen to me, then I learned that some steels work better on lower grits, when sharpening on higher grits, the scratch patern gets thinner, making some microserrations on the edge, if the edge is too polished, some steels Will lose that "bite" and eventually Will lose sharpness. Mirror polished edge are nice looking and fancy but aren't necessary.

To give you a good answer, we have to be based on our experience but the problem is that we don't use stones on resin binders at all.

Softer steels damage bonded diamond stones? How ?

When you work with soft steel, the abrasive stone looses its grain faster due to the steel viscosity.
