TSPROF Kadet Pro is so amazing I was able to sharpen even when I had temporary use of only one hand

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

There are many factors in being able to sharpen something to a perfect razor sharp edge. The TSPROF Kadet Pro has such amazing precision and ease of use I was able to sharpen even when I was restricted to the use of one hand from a recent surgery. Often I get asked by people disabled vets who see my videos and want to start a sharpening service if I could recommend a sharpener to them to start with this is never easy to do as a lot of my gear in the shop requires two hands, or the ability to stand, but I think this sharpener will work for a great many people who have limitations and want to pursue sharpening as well as everyone else who just wants one of the very best sharpeners on the market. #knifesharpening #tsprof

I have multiple disabilities, (Including only one eye.) and I own the TSPROF KO-3, and I'm able to work it. I've only done a few blades so far, including my EDC "Delica," which I went all the way with finishing it with the 0.3 micron diamond lapping film. I'm even impressed every time I open it to use it! Amazing machine, pricey yes - but we all know we get what we pay for these days. Your a good man, Paul. Thanks for the great content...

Lapping film too that’s some dedication. I have a bunch of it in the shop but must admit in the last 5 years I’ve used it maybe 2 times. I don’t do much mirror finish work I actually try and avoid it. But I commend you sir for your patience and persistence. I am hopeful TSPROF will eventually send me a KO3 to review

@@ALXSHARPEN Afternoon, Paul... Thanks for your reply. Yes - I wanted mostly to see if I could actually achieve the "Mirror" edge so many enthusiasts seem to prize. I wouldn't necessarily keep doing it on my EDC, I think it's unnecessary...a bit of a ragged edge is good enough for me, and what I mostly use my Delica for. I hope TSPROF will indeed send you their KO-3, they'd be doing themselves a big service having you review it. I very nearly went with the Kadet Pro, but decided the KO-3 was more versatile. Also, I've been a big fan of, and a long-time subscriber to Capt. Matt @ The American Edge here on KZread. Hope your thumb is healing nicely...

@@ALXSHARPEN I have business trickle in, but I really haven't advertised yet. I need to get a dropbox built first. Since I'm not real busy with the business, I primarily use the Kadet Pro as I really like the system.

P.S. The "Atoma 140" grit stone seems to be the most popular re-profiling stone for the TSPROF and other sharpening systems, it's very frequently out-of-stock at most of the major sharpening suppliers...

Great video Paul! Nice to show the versatility of the Cadet. This is a very sturdy unit and does not move around like some of the others. I too have cut myself when navigating around it, so watch your hands placement. I also use kapton tape on the clamps to avoid potential scratching.

I have been meaning to look and see if anyone makes protective sleeves for them. Someone told me about a coating for tools they dipped theirs in.. it’s for putting rubber coating back on tools but I forgot the name that sounds like an interesting potential solution also

From the way it was cutting I would say around 175 definitely under 200
