Today I want to share the best meal to clean out your arteries.
There is an interesting connection between your microbiome and your arteries. In mice studies, when the mice lack a healthy gut microbiome, they tend to develop a lot of inflammation. Inflammation in the arteries triggers a cascade of damaging effects. An overall imbalance of the microorganisms in the body can also lead to various problems in the arteries.
One of the most important vitamins for the arteries is vitamin K2. Vitamin K2 helps keep calcium buildup out of the arteries. The microbes in your gut have the ability to make vitamin K2, but fermented foods and fatty foods are also rich in vitamin K2.
Keep in mind that vitamin K2 works better when taken with vitamin D3. For every 100 mcg of vitamin K2, consider taking 10,000 IU of vitamin D3.
Probiotics are crucial to support healthy arteries, and your friendly microbes are your natural probiotics. It’s important to support your microbiome and avoid sterile foods like pasteurized and over-processed foods.
The best meal to clean out the arteries:
• Brie cheese
• Fatty pork sausage
• Sauerkraut
Each of these foods is fermented and loaded with vitamin K2. Give them a try, and start adding other alive and fermented foods to your diet.

I'm over 80 years old. I am not wrinkled, have very little grey hair, and am as strong as most men in their 30s and early 40s. Most people who don't know me think that I am in my mid 50's. I work out, walk first, and then lift weights. I can still bench multiple reps 250 lbs plus but prefer lower weight with at least 20 - 25 reps.. I stopped taking statins 8 years ago and feel 100% better. I've been following the fresh diet you recommend and living an active healthy life. Keep up the good work.

I did the American Gut Project and got a report on my biognome. It said that I had a rare bacteria in my gut. I think I got that bacteria when I took a trip to Tuscany. I toured an organic cheese farm in the foothills. They offered our group to drink some cheese rennet. I was the only one who drank the rennet, and then I ate all of the left over organic carrot salad that nobody wanted. Everyone looked at me like I was crazy. It was a group of Americans. That rennet came from the grass fed goats in the Tuscan foothills. Where else would I have acquired that bacteria? Maybe it's helping keep the plaque at bay.

You are so right dr berg, and I can proove this. I have hardening of arteries and I did what mainstream suggested and stopped the fatty foods, one of them was something I eat a lot of and that is pasture raised butter. In two weeks my legs showed more blockages and hardness in arteries than all the time I was eating fats. K2 is lost very quickly in the body so only a few days without will start calcifecation build up, but equally once eaten again will stop this process. Always pasture raised meats and dairy. No coincidence its getting impossible to source, and when you do its now 3 times the price of non pasture foods.

Heres an easy way to start a fermentation colony in saurkraut, and many leafy veggies: Make a brine for saurkraut, add 1 tablespoon of fresh, live culture plain yogurt, per quart of brine. The one with no gelatins or starch is best. Greek style works well. Yogurt contains the same cultures used for saurkraut. Then just pack your jars, preparing your fermented vegetables. In a few weeks, youll have very good kraut. I add many other vegetables to it, Greens , onions, chiles sweet pepper. Easy!

Thank you for this very valuable information and your help, Doctor Eric Berg. I am a big fan of yours and have been following your videos for almost 2 years. Thanks to you, I have a much better lifestyle and eat much healthier than before. Thanks to you, I understand the human organism much better. I live in Vienna, in the capital of Austria, and am surprised that you can get such high quality information from the USA, but in Europe everything important is somehow suppressed and only doctors have this valuable knowledge, but are not allowed to pass it on to their patients, otherwise their license to practice medicine would be revoked. An example is that doctors in Austria continue to recommend dark bread instead of light bread to diabetics, even though the glycemic index, even if lower, can still be harmful for a diabetic.

Chattanooga, TN Excellent video! Thank you so much for all your hard research that you share. Every day I have full fat keifer yogurt that I make and ferment for 36hrs. I also have a kimchi/sauerkraut mix with my 4 eggs Avocado and fatty cut of meat. My blood work is now excellent since eating this way and loosing 135lbs. Keep up the good work as you are making a difference in people's lives.

@@AmyRector Dr William Davis yogurt on line recipe. I use a Instapot with a yogurt setting and set temperature to 104. Then take 2qts half and half from Sams, 4tbs of Inulin powder Amazon, and 4 tbsp of full fat keifer (Lifeway, plain). Mix inulin powder in a bowl with some half and half to make a slurry and then combine all ingredients into Instapot stirring thoroughly so as there are no lumps. Remove gasket and set timer for 36hrs. It will come out thick and creamy 😋. I use stevia chocolate to sweeten. You can add wild blueberries Walmart or raspberries. Kimchi/Sauerkraut combined makes a good relish with your high fat moderate protein meal. I have been on a strick ketovior lifestyle for 4 yrs now an have kept track of my blood work every 6 months and there has been a dramatic impyove.

Incredible.. I JUST did the CAC Test two days ago (before seeing this video). Being 53, with heart issues (previously major), I just wanted to get a clearer picture of what may be happening with my heart. Disclaimer: Taking blood pressure and heart meds (very low level) for 10 yrs. I was MAJORLY overweight 390 lbs.. (2012) but focused 2 years of my life to exercise and change nutrition.. got down to 189 lbs (2014/2015), no surgery, just effort (gym, tennis, dancing) and clean eating. The CAC Test is super easy - 10 minutes. Outpatient process pay out of pocket around $100. I’ve been taking A LOT of vitamins from Dr. Berg shop (D3&K2, all B’s, Cod Liver Oil, Lung Cleanse, and more) Results from CAC Test: only .6 value. Less than 1% it is not considered an issue. Good Luck everyone, contact your primary physician to schedule a CAC Test before you feel serious pain.

I also love to eat the beets after I've finished using them for the kvass. They're like a tart little snack. For those interested, there are some videos on youtube on how to make it. Make sure to use garlic with it, otherwise, you may not like the outcome. Fresh garlic added to the ferment makes a DELICIOUS kvass.

Always cooked and used fresh food, as much as I could. I never hardly ate , even as a child. I'm 54, and 7 and a half stone. I'm by no means a health expert but I never stressed about food and loved Grandmas and Great Grandmas cooking, always clearing my plate. Some of the food was grown on allotments and from local suppliers. I would just clean the plate and go out to play. I still do that now, eat and go for a walk a little later. Sometimes I think you have to put food in your body thats quite potent, to give your body a vital work out.

M so happy to view your video today! I love love foods! Do you do one on one consultations? I'm back! The weight I lost fasting is still gone. It's not bad, so it's true. You do lose the weight and it stays off. I didn't even stay on it maybe four or five months and I walked 10 pounds. I have kept that off for over a year. I want to lose another 40 so I'm back on fasting. I'm looking forward to the journey with you again thank you for all you do and all the knowledge you have, and more than that how you share it and you are such a great teacher. Have a great day.

Bubbas sauerkraut, and Bubbas Dill pickles are available at health food stores, no sugar, no vinegar, only ingredients are well water and sea salt along with pickling spices, like peppercorns, etc

My mother used to make sour kraut and sausage, which we ate periodically for dinner. I hated it, but my brother liked it. I was pretty healthy growing up.

My grandfather apparently used to make several barrels of sauerkraut in the basement every year. I occasionally will take half or all of one head of cabbage and shred it up and then knead it with Himalayan pink salt and pack it tightly into mason jars and leave those in a dark cabinet for a few weeks when I need to rebuild my digestive microbiome. Any Time I start to get digestive issues like gas or indigestion, I know it's time to make another batch. I think the fact that I use my bare freshly cleaned hands is what inoculates the kraut using the healthy bacteria that withstand hand washing, any fungal spores under my nails, etc. I'm pretty sure commercial sauerkraut has been over pasteurized to the point that nothing survives, even the good bugs.

The wife uses bacon grease with the fermented kraut we make when she cooks this meal and used cheese as well but I’m going to pickup some Bree cheese to try it as well. Good luck and wish you well friend.

This explains why my Czech/German grandparents and aunts and uncles lived into their 90’s while drinking alcohol daily - there was always sour kraut and pork sausage at every meal along with lots of cheese.

Vit. K2 is in old gouda, and it happens I adore old Amsterdam gouda, eating about 50-100gr a day, along with a good half-filled single glass of red wine. It was a way for me to have enough caloric intake, avoiding carbs I went for fat. I take a blood test at home, checking my values every few month and I noticed problems squeezing out a drop of blood from my index finger. A blood analysis at my doctor revealed a heavily lipemic plasma. He warned me about high cholestérol, about 220 to 260. The cause of my visit, for no reason, my heart would start to race sitting, sometimes, and during aerobic exercices was going way to high for the moderate effort. I run for 40years with a Polar Chest band, so I know when it is not right. I tried out several reasons, cutting on several foods, separately, checking blood pressure, sleep quality. Their remained no doubt that the old gouda caused the fatty plasma, 2 month after stopping cheese, my blood drops spill out easily from my finger, my cholesterol dropped to 150, my heart race stopped, and my heart rate is about 20 beats/min slower. My heart obviously has much less effort to do with a less fatty fluid. Needless to say I added back more carbs to my diet, and less fat. I reduced gouda to 10gr a day, on average. The Keto diet helped me losing 25kg in 20months, and I am stable for 3 years and sure I will not gain them back, as my children are grown up and I do not eat their rests of food anymore.😀 But no Keto warned me about lipemic plasma and very uncomfortable heart racing... There is a reason why YT interferes with the publications of health recommendations videos, containing possible wrong information. This video may not be wrong but incomplete, it does not warn about quantities, about possible side effects, it does explain how to reduce the building up of plaques, but no information about the process of removing existing plaques. We cannot assume preventing also will remove : this is a faulty suggestion, a logical error. But it is the title : to clean, not to keep clean.

in Germany all these foods are incorporated in our traditional foods. I spent a lot of times in the USA,...its all there,...the grocery stores are amazing. The fast and bad food is tempting but just do it. You have to shop consciously.

I know this first hand after we had a cat many years ago who ate a rat that had eaten some Ratsack ( Australian brand ) which was in the ceiling of a house we were renting at the time. Our cat became badly ill & was passing blood in his urine. After rushing him to the vet they immediately gave him K2 injections & it saved his life.
