Excellent review. The only missing part is to rate each tyre weight wise for similar sizes from heavier to lighter and road noise.

I have a ram 3500 that i hook up with a 32 ft gooseneck trailer that is mostly loaded with heavy loads, i recently replaced my old tires with the ko2s, been driving on them for about 3 months now and i couldnt ask for better tires, absolutely great and smooth drive and so stable and solid. Thank you for the great video, it's really helpful to learn what tires brands are people's fav.

I went from Cooper AT3’s to Maxis Razor and have been very impressed.Relatively quiet on the tar and good in the mud too. I did aCSR tip with them last season and was super impressed with how they went on the dunes. We had used specialist sand tyres In the past and these performed almost as well . No punctures too.

Having Falcon AT3W Wildpeaks mounted on my 2020 Ram 1500 4x4 in a couple days. I've watched countless reviews on the A/T tires. Best price I got was $271 per tire mounted and balanced. We had Falcon all seasons on our car and they were really good. Hoping these all terrains will live up to my expectations on the truck.

Great video guys! Loving all your content! I was looking at ditching my KO2’s on my current raptor to something a bit better on the road. I don’t want to lose profile which I’d have to do if I went a HT, so was thinking of going the G015 or Cooper AT3 LTX, only thing I’ve struggled to find info on is a few articles stating the G015 actually has greater rolling resistance and worse fuel economy then my KO2’s

I am on my 2nd set of the Yokohama Geolandar X-A/T 37x13.50x17. These tires are not as popular here in the states. My 1st set went 53k miles. I sold them to another fellow who is getting about another 5-10k miles out of them. I have pulled these through a lot of mud and rock. We just got back from Moab and Colorado. We did Imogen Pass and Ophir Pass. Just look through a few of my videos. Truly a great tire!

Ok, here are 4 reviews. 2 of which include tires on this video's list and the other 2 are not present for various and expected reason. First one and my hands down favorite tire to date...BFG KO2's. Had a set of these on a lifted (3") 2018 Toyota 4Runner setup for overlanding here in the states. Tires ran smooth although a bit loud (not unexpected). While on the road, they stuck the corners better than just about anything I've had before. As a daily driver, I never worried about my tires. Off road, they lived up to their reputation. I do not do a lot of driving thru mud, but I do spend a lot of time on a beach dealing with some soft sand and some rock crawling when i get a chance. A few years ago, I spent 3 long weekends trying to get the 4Runner stuck in some sand at the beach because I wanted to play with Toyota's Crawl Control. Needless to say, I never got a chance to try that feature out. Still the cream of the crop when it comes to tires in my opinion. An excellent tire that I would rate 5 stars if given the chance. Second, and this is going to be a bit of an odd one, is the Firestone Destination XT. Not really known or at least not really talked about much, but this is a solid tire that has served me well. I have it on my 2011 Tundra (yep...Toyota fan), with about 35k miles on the tires and the tread still looks new (the truck doesn't look so new tho...it has just over 200k miles on it now). Granted I don't do much off road with it as this truck is more of a work truck with the occasional trip off the pavement, but it has held up well. I consider it a work tire first and a play tire second. Here, I would give it 4 stars. Third and Fourth are both Nitto tires. I put a set of Nitto Terra Grapplers on my 2011 Tundra some years ago. Off road (the beach and the occasional field activities here, but never chanced it with rock crawling) was ok and it gave a decent bit of bite on the terrain. On the highway/roads, these tires picked up every screw, nail, piece of metal, and any other junk that they could find. I replaced these tires around 16k miles after each one of them had been patched at least 2 times. In fact, I replaced them when the tire shop I use refused to patch one of the tires for the 4th time. Yes, the Nitto tires look good, a bit aggressive, but the rubber is soft and doesn't stand up to the daily drive that I was using them for mostly. I would give the Terra Grapplers 0 stars if that is an option. If not an option, then a single, lonely star. Finally, the fourth set is (yes I still have them unfortunately) the Nitto Ridge Grapplers. These are currently installed on my 2021 Tundra with 18k miles on them. And the truck has 18k miles on it because the tires came with the truck from the Toyota factory. I was not happy and requested Toyota swap them out with something I would agree on, but they were trying to charge me dealer prices for 4 brand new tires (truck came off the trailer to the dealer lot and had all of 2.8 miles total on it). Either way, I wasn't going to drop another $2,800 for tires at that time. I probably should have. I had the first flat at 7k miles (rear passenger) and the second flat at just over 15k miles (front driver). I believe the rubber on these is actually softer than the Terra Grapplers I previously had on the 2011 Tundra. I am currently trying to replace these with either some KO2s or maybe the MT Baja Boss, however, finding a set is proving difficult (the size and the general demand for either of these right now is making me wait a bit). Like the Terra Grappler above, I would give the Ridge Grapplers 0 stars if it is an option. If it isn't an option, then I will refuse to rate them. They are just plain horrible. Yes, I know I am leaving you a huge reply, but I wanted to give you some good feedback on the tires. Also, I would like to say that I have only seen 2 of your videos to this point, but I am going to check on some more later tonight. You did a good presentation on the details of the tires (even though I did cringe every time you touched or talked about one of the Nitto tires, LOL). Just a good video that actually has something that makes sense for a change. Keep up the good work. Cheers!

I am glad that you have had good luck with your Falkens because I seem to be one of the few who have not. Mine are needing replacing at 31,000 and I have rotated them every 5,000 miles. They also have dry rot and are cupping badly lately. I did love them for the first 20,000 miles (quiet and excellent on snow) but I expect more than 30,000 miles out of a set of tires that stay on paved roads. I am torn what to replace them with though. Everything seems to have pro's and con's.

I think your many followers on this channel could be made aware of the difficulties you face when gathering groups of tyres to review when every manufacture doesn't want to participate for varying reasons without naming them. I don’t live in snowy or Icey weather ares, so I can’t comment on snow performance. But nitto is my top pick

In mud/off road, when aired down they have surprisingly good grip due to the outer tread/sidewall which comes into play. It's a very well thought out design.

The Falcon AT3W Wildpeaks - have become quite popular here in the states - they seem to handle the slippery wet tarmac & a mild build up of snow & ice quite well (When New) - possibly after they wear down below the 1/2 way mark - their performance might possibly drop quite abit. What Im finding is on a HD truck like my 2015 F350 Powerstroke and 2020 F250 7.3 that they have a tendency to go through tires faster than my 1/2 tons. I have used the Toyo AT 2 and Nitto Terra grapplers and preferred the Toyo only cause they wore better and felt slightly stiffer on the sidewalls. Both great tires. I then went to the Nitto Ridge Grappler..loved this tire, stiffer sidewalls and rode well if pressures were deflated.. 50F 46R...awesome tire but when approaching 30k miles they started to get a little loud for my likeing on the 7.3 gasser, which is my daily driver. I then tried the Yoko X-AT, another great hybrid tire and I rate it equal to the Ridge grappler. I just put on the Falkens...wanted to go back to an AT tire vs A Hybrid and I feel to date this is the quietest tire that I have owned that still looks somewhat aggressive and really behaves excellent in the soft mud when towing my trailers into a jobsite and really good in the rain, better than any tire I have owned, even better than my BFG's. The sidewalls are almost as stiff as the Hybrids but they feel lighter on their feet. There will always be a compromise. I have them aired down 53F 48R and will play with that some. My reviews are based on a 3" level from Carli which includes progressive springs and their shock package with 37 12.5 20's on a 9" wheel. So to date the Falkins are my favorite for do all hwy driving and as a partial on the trail/mud. They clean out quickly, very quiet and balance well.

Hey mate, that's great frank feedback, thanks! Excellent that you're working your way through the different brands and back and forth between the 2 ply and 3 ply tyres. The Falkens are kind of 2.5 ply sidewall with a funny turn up, so that's probably why you're seeing them as stiff. The Terra Grapplers usually review much worse than the AT2s, which is interesting. If you're heading down the middle of the road AT route next time, maybe consider the Pirelli Scorpion AT+, as they might suit what you're after... not sure if they come in a 37" though 😅

I bought a set of the Coopers AT3. And I've been happy with what the tire can do. Super quiet on the road. LIGHT, so my 2022 4Runner remained feeling peppy as as stock (even after I went up to a 285/70R17). BUT I have noticed people tend to think it's a stock size tire, because it looks small for a 285. And now looking at it side by side with all other 9 tires, I am wondering if that's the case. Were all of these tires the same size? I have read on forums that not all tires are made to the same dimensions, despite being the same size model. A comparison of this would be greatly appreciated

They do generate a bit of noise as they wear and the back end breaks away in the wet with no load but overall happy with them, never had a puncture in 250,000 miles. Would I buy them again ? From experience the Falken ones are just an excellent all around tyre/tire. I have a set on my SUV and they’ve more than outlasted their wear rating. A odd difference is I live in the US and mine are manufactured here. They have a 3 ply sidewall. They have a 50,000 mile/80,000 kilometer tread wear warranty and I’ve put at least 45,000 miles/73,000 kilometers on them and still have over half of tread left. Driving conditions have varied. 80% pavement, the rest off road. Trails, gravel, sand, and mud/dirt.

I have Falkens and have disappointed with the tread wear on them. Mine are basically worn out at 31,000 miles. They have been very good other than that. I rotated them every 5,000 and never take them truly off-roading. I do drive in snow and they are great in that. I have loved them except for the treadwear and they do pick up nails easily. I am not sure what to buy next time though. I was thinking KO2's but have read too many horror stories about their wet traction. I may give Falkens another chance after all. I love how quiet they are, great in snow and very good in wet.

It is, but it's so variable. For example a tyre we reviewed a few years ago was a budget king at the time, but everyone loved it and it's now one of the more expensive ones, so that'd date the film pretty quickly. For the Top 10 AT tyres, we have to rely on folk's feedback, and this has got me thinking about some further tweaking we can do to the rankings to make it more legit. Thanks for the feedback!

I was going to go the Nitto Ridge Grappler, but was told they are slippery in the wet, so i asked a few mates and they made the same comment. I changed out the Goodrich KO2. IMHO the Toyo AT3 are better than the KO2 by far, I have done 25K KM on the Toyo and hardly any wear at all, Toyo say 65,000 mile warranty on the AT3. It poured with rain awhile back and with the AT3 good feel back, so felt confident with them. I would get the AT3 again just have to wait about 100,000 km.

How about GO15? They have been great for me on my BT50 and I'm on my second set (both ver1 and ver2 tyres). They are as quiet as OEM and pretty good on wet roads. I will get them on my Y62 as well when the factory tyres wear out. I reckon they don't get the popularity votes because most people want to have the aggressive "look" even though they don't use them as much as these tyres are designed for. I choose the GO15s because it's the less aggressive type, I prefer quietness and comfort. Something that is more robust than oem tyres. GO16 has the "look" but I'm worried of how loud and harsh it would be with those aggressive tyre patterns and 3 ply wall compared to GO15s.

I'm looking to buy these soon but they only have a 2 ply side wall however one note below said 3 ply in LT? Razr AT811 should be the 2nd pick with 84 reviews with 3 ply wall. I just put on 64k my Michelin LTX M/S P235/70R16T SUV as I take my tires to the end but factory stock made 70k with easy. Also LTX had to much slippage in CT, USA in the winter. My best winter tire was in the 90's on a small work pickup they were Yokahoma's! They got me home in a 2' blizzard with no plowing with state roads were closed for 4 days. Hey mate, good feedback, and well done for looking into it more deeply! Yeah, I'm certainly reserving the right to change how we rank tyres, as it's relatively straight forward at the moment. The AT3W isn't a full 3ply sidewall tyre, it has a funky "turnup" which means that the second ply actually provides a third layer in part of the sidewall 👍
