Tyre Review

Tyre Review

Tyre Review is a new concept, created by a bunch of car nuts who want to know what you think about your tyres.
A few years ago, we saw a problem. The problem was that there was no centralised place for tyre reviews in Australia. They could be found on Facebook, forums, Instagram, toilet walls (true!), down at the pub, and all sorts of other places we can't mention for legal reasons, BUT no single spot where you could sort through the reviews based on the car you drive.
So we decided to fix that. We got Australia's best database of vehicles and tyres, and mated it to this spiffy new website.
This means you are be able to:
- Filter reviews based on the exact car you drive
- Filter reviews based on the tread pattern you're interested in
- Compare reviews based on driving styles
We're entirely independent, and focused on making this the best place to review tyres. What we really want to know is what you think of the tyres themselves.
Cheers,
The team at Tyre Review

I am running the HD now on my F-350 and I have run the K02 on my truck. The K02 are quieter but the HD do seem to be lasting longer.

This is like two dumbasses standing around some tires that they know nothing about while when pinky fucks a set of them this is ridiculous. The only thing that this video taught me is that Goodyear makes some off-road tires.

Not impressed with the RTs. My F350 tows 40' gooseneck trailers loaded to 26K lbs on snow at 85MPH. I have no reason to change to Its while my Faithful Duratrac is available. Sidewalls on old are very important to my 300yd driveway on a snow covered hill.

If you're going into remote Australia, 3 ply. Spend the money, don't feel the pain of stuffing around. Buy tyres with a larger aspect ratio. Small profile ties on your 20 inch rims are wanker tyres.

Greetings, I'm looking to buy myself a new set of four tires and I'm stuck between the general grabber ATX and Toyo Open country at3. Which of the two would you recommend for daily use? Say, jack of all trades tire. I ride mostly on road, sometimes I'll go on off road camping trips.. and which of the two do you think will do better on rain? This would be on a 3rd gen Tacoma

I just put these on my Denali 1 ton diesel… they look great, have a nice quiet and soft ride but are horrible for towing… beyond horrible, I would say dangerous. I’m returning them this week for Falcon Wildpeaks. I really wanted a new brand but I’m going back to a tire I know can handle the loads. I had a loaded trailer (14g lbs) going uphill around corners I felt like my trailer was ‘pushing’… this was because my load caused sidewall roll pushing the back out and shifting the front wheels in… my heart sopped few times, and it only got worse on the downhills. I wiggled my steering wheel and inch in either direction and the shimmy multiplied from the smallest correction…I don’t know if it’s the big outside lugs or a weaker sidewall. I pull consistent loads in my trailer on the same route hundreds of times and the Geolanders just can’t handle the load safely. If you’re just putting them on your truck or SUV without towing then I think they would be just fine… the big treads do pick up LOTS off stones though. If you have your family and are pulling a trailer… just don’t!

They came on my truck when I bought it. It's a 13chevy 2500hd 4x4. I put close to 80k on that first set. Just got off a set of the goodyear ultra terrain ats which weren't that bad. Just didn't get the miles like the duratracs. So now I just got a set of the duratrac rts plus a new set of bilstein 5100 shocks on all 4 corners and it drives nicer then when I got it! Best tire for me here in the cascade mtns in Washington state.

All being equal...the at wins...however, airing down the mt may make a greater impact. I live in se texas on the gulf coast and san luis pass has very deep fine dry sand and airing down does wonders for my 35x12.50r17 mts

How do the wrangler ats perform off-road and on road

  • @roblogie1742
    @roblogie174227 күн бұрын

My Goto tyre for my 4x4 was the Goodyear Wrangler M/T Kevlar. Good traction and ok on bitumen roads but also strong sidewalls with good protection against being staked (Having sticks go through the sidewall which is not an uncommon issue offroad in desert areas of Australia). Also even though the Wrangler was an aggressive M/T I found they also worked well in soft sand or soft snow with correct pressures. But sadly they are no longer available in Australia... I also replace the M/Ts when the tread is around 50 percent used as after that they are no longer really M/Ts due to lack of tread depth
