I am again struck by Julian Lennon. In every photograph I have seen of him as a child, he looks like a very sad. He seems like a wonderful man, thank goodness. I have yet to see a photograph of him as a child where I didn't want to somehow reach through time and hug him.

Remember those were the days before Yoko came around. "It was just a time he was in the thrill and turmoil of reaching stardom, who would ever be able to dedicate time to family thru all that?" this applies to Paul, George and Ringo too and everyone in show business..He was not a great father, and this statement came from a primary source: Julian.

Second Coming Of Bast easy to say when you have never had that magnitude of stardom hit you at a young age. It was very demanding. John did as well as he could at the time. I didn’t know there was so many perfect parents out there.

This was my favorite part of the "movie".

These setting up and rehearsal scenes are amazing, well done to the insightful cameraman to take so many wonderful photographs. Paul had such imagination and skill to dream this up and provide the music, brilliant in itself. Thank you also to all the dancers, cast and crew in making this one of the film's best scenes.

I never thought so much work went into this sequence. But like most everything they did, they were willing to put in the time to make it great.

Super job. Thanks so much! You can almost hear John and George calling it a "fruity" song, hah. The ones Paul liked from listening to his dads music weren't always a hit with the others but I love them all.

4:41 Ah yes, the famous photo of Paul wearing the only black rose. One of the may photos and clues to his supposed demise. It's hard to say if all of those "clues", photos and otherwise, were intentional or just coincidental, but it was fun as a young lad at the time to get into it all. Of course, Paul is not dead and lives on, but as a young Beatle fan at the time all this was transpiring, was very intriguing to me.

Elena are these your photos? I've never seen them before. Awesome!

Brilliant; so many 'fake Beatles truths' challenged here - a picture paints a thousand words. John and Julian, for one. What lovely images of a father and son together. The idea that John never spent any time with Julian during this period has become exaggerated over time. He may have become an absent father later, but, touring commitments permitting, these shots show that wasn't always the case. Another sequence I find enlightening are the shots of Paul and John both taking a directorial role in this sequence. It never made sense that John would have no interest in a piece of visual art he was part of. Thanks for sharing.

Thought the same thing and have had the same thought many times. People follow like sheep and believe what others tell them without questioning the source. John had demons as we all do, ALL of us and I'm sure he hurt Julian being absentee but the sheep vilify him..a man who can not defend himself.

I do think a lot of it is due to what John said sometimes in interviews. He dismissed this Beatles project and made it seem like he wasn't much involved, when it seems that wasn't the case. He also made a comment about Julian being the product of a bottle of wine or something. Which, along with the period (and I don't think it was more than a period) where he was sort of absent from Julian's life, have probably colored the public's perception of him as a father, and actually Julian's perception itself.

That's not true. There are plenty of interviews by Cynthia and Julian to say John flitted in and out of his life.

And I agree. The Beatles are the greatest band ever! They should've stuck to the music and left making films to the professionals. No big deal dude, get over it.

The black carnation, yes. Like on the Pepper's cover, the other 3 all hold brass instruments -- but he has a *black* wooden one. The Let It Be cover -- he's the only one with a blood-red background. (There are well over 400 documented examples of this Paul symbolism.)
