THE BEATLES - ABBEY ROAD ALBUM COVER - The Making Of (Photo Session)
Музыка
Compiled by Pino Pini & Gianni Rosati.
Hats off to Iain Macmillan, author of the most recognisable album cover in pop music history - and certainly the most parodied. Linda McCartney also took many pictures during that memorable photo session. Macmillan, who died in 2006, once said of the image: "That photo's been called an icon of the 1960s. I suppose it is. I think the reason it became so popular is its simplicity. It's a very simple, stylised shot. Also it's a shot people can relate to. It's a place where people can still walk."

This iconic photo was taken on my 4th Birthday-August 8, 1969. Always remember that all John was saying is, _"Give peace a chance."_
Has to be one of the most iconic photographs of all time...dread the day THE BEATLES will be a memory to those of us who lived those joyous times...

Yeah my friend our Boomer Soundtrack is coming to an end. 😳
Such wonderful moments in my head, thinking about the sixties. Abbey Road is my all time favorit Beatles album.
What I find fascinating is in the early shots Paul is wear sandals. I actually remember the "Paul Is Dead" era and people reading a lot into the fact Paul was barefoot in this album cover. Now it just appears Paul probably decided to kick off his sandals for a photo.

You are close. The Beatles crosses that zebra a few times for making the pictures. It was a warm summer day and that was the main reason McCartney ended up barefoots.

The "Paul is Dead" theory and all the "evidence" shows that the web sleuths and conspiracy nuts of today aren't a new phenomenon.

@@fortunatejeremy This theory developed in an era when the only way idiots could share conspiracies was in magazines or their little newsletters. I don't remember ever believing Paul was dead, just hearing about it after the fact. Today nutty ideas can spread like fire.

If it was so hot, why are three of them wearing jackets? He took them off because the Beatles were staging a funeral procession. It doesn’t mean Paul is dead; just that he has a sense of humor.
The Most Iconic shot of all time
Love this arrangement of Something

No Doubt at all off that
The Beatles couldn't walk across the road without being iconic haha. You've won lottery if you get 1 iconic cover but The Beatles had 4.
John looks like the wisest man who ever lived.
Wonder what the passerbys were thinking?
Only 'Pepper' may have a greater cover!
who's idea was the funeral attire?

If it was just random and, just a picture of them walking across the street? Why were they always in the order they walked in? You would think maybe George, would want to be second? Or maybe Paul, just for 1 picture? But was a message being sent?

My money has always been on Paul himself. He seems to have the most wicked sense of humor.
