How can something nearly sixty old sounds even better than when I first heard it in 1963? Incredible.

I love “Your Mother Should Know”. It’s just a fun song with another great McCartney melody. “This Boy” is musical heaven with those beautiful three part harmonies. Thank you for doing these two masterpieces. 🥰

I like Your Mother Should Know. I think it's about listening to the Beatles' music 50 years after it came out. Well, like we are doing now. It was a hit before your mother was born, i.e. 50 years ago. It's apparently something younger kids would listen to. Though your mother was born a long time ago, she should still know it.

You can't go wrong with The Beatles. Even their earliest songs demonstrate their talent for writing, playing and singing. John, Paul and George had natural 3 part harmony. 'This Boy' is a great example, 'Yes It Is' is another. One of their earliest is 'Ask Me Why' which has a beautiful melody sung by John at his tenderest. If you've seen any film footage from the Beatlemania days you can understand why the girls were screaming.

"This Boy" was a remarkable part of the Beatles World Tour in 1964 (by the way the first world tour (4 continents were toured) by artists in the rock / pop genre - and extremely spectacular). There are some live videos of the song in youtube.

@@nelosreaction1975 Unfortunately this is often the case - and annoying. Some reacters sometimes bypass the blocking, when they pause the video for a moment. I don't know, if that always works.

The Capital Records LP Meet The Beatles starts side 1 with I Want To Hold Your Hand and I Saw Her Standing There. At that time, the current #1 single in the USA. This Boy is placed 3rd ,following these 2 instant classics, it shows This Boy is a fine piece of writing. Any other song on the album would have been overshadowed by tracks 1 & 2. This Boy holds it's own remarkably well. Critics and fans alike took notice. The musical ground was shifting and the Beatles were leading the charge. Your Mother Should Know (during the recording session on Aug 23 1967 at Chappell Studios) was the last new song manager Brian Epstein heard before his sudden passing four days later. Two times The Beatles AND Nelo!! Sounds like a WIN WIN!! RNB

You know it's so amazing it's kind of ironic because first you reacted to song from there psychedelic. Were they reminisce and have nosetalgia about the yesteryears and then you listen to a song that actually sounds nostalgic because it has that older style some of their harmonies they do what's called Counterpoint where they change their intervals between the harmonies they sing different Melodies together at the same time here's something to think about my dear girl there are two constants in this world one is that the Beatles probably always be the greatest band ever and Jimi Hendrix will always be the greatest guitarists of all time I know it gives me great pleasure is the fact that all these English bands back in the early days they got all those rhythm and blues and so let's rock and roll and all the American old records and they listen to those they had to go through certain channels even to get those records by artists like Howlin Wolf Albert King Fats Domino Chuck Berry and Little Richard and BB King Clarence gatemouth Brown Muddy Waters and me and Ray Charles John Lee Hooker there are just too many to mention but these are a small group of two artists that influenced all these groups like the Stones The Beatles the animals The Who exedra even the band Pink Floyd was named after two old blues singers pink Anderson and Floyd Council two very obscure but notorious Blues singers so they were also influenced yeah we were so lucky over here in the United States because if it wasn't for the African American culture and all the Jazz and Ragtime and blues and swing and rock and roll and R & B and soul our music here wouldn't amount to a hill of beans so I find it really amazing because you know your ancestors that were stolen from your continent and brought over here and were slaves for I don't know over three centuries I believe there was one thing that I know that came out of that which was a wonderful thing and that is they had to create their own music because the white man stole their culture from them they weren't allowed to do their traditional music from Africa so when they were working hard out in the cotton fields they made up their own music it was an interesting Style known as call and response somebody would sing a certain phrase and then across the field the other group would respond to that with another Melody and phrase and they would go back and forth and they had a little Shack which they had them go on Sunday to worship and they came up with their own songs and that became gospel music and this is where all this miraculous Treasure Trove this Legacy of great music came from and these younger musicians at the time or inspired play all this unbelievable creative music so they took that and then made their own and now it is come full circle back to you from one culture to the next and Back Again all right my dear that was a great reaction I'll check you on the next drop
