Good retelling. Us First Nations Australia people still to this day honour the serpent and follow certain practices near the rivers and creeks, so as to not wake him up from his sleep.❤

Best version of this story I've heard. Matches what Christianity was originally about. In the America's "feathered serpent God" was believed to be christ. There's a lot of underlying commonalities. We should be sharing more.

Thank you for watching and I'm glad you enjoyed it ❤️❤️ I also find the similarities in the mythology of different cultures very fascinating, especially considering most of these cultures never had contact with eachother. The link between the bible and much older religious and cultural texts is an avenue i will continue to explore Please like and subscribe for more mythological content. Stay safe 😁😁

@@MythMinimusI believe in the fall & rise of civilisations over hundreds of thousands, or millions of years. This is the Kali Yuga, or whatever. See 'Mirko Kulig', 'Curious Being', 'Mined Earth', 'Mystery History' channels for HONEST research..

I also believe in cycles of civilization, I'm often researching information on lost continents and our ancestral link with natural disasters that seems to reset our advancement. I'll look into any theory regarding the ancient past, our ancestors knew how to do some pretty amazing things, these stories are one of the few remnants of this knowledge ❤️❤️

Myths* AND EVERYTHING ELSE, that we could term 'data' Including sensory And rational-conceptual Starts to make sense if AND ONLY IF It is it is looked at metaphorically AND metaphysically Because the 'physycal' is a metaphor for the 'metaphysical'. Yes? * Myths; paradoxes; intuition/feeling- as close as it gets, to knowing?

I like the idea that myths are just "truths" that we've forgotten. Your comment really got me thinking! It sounds like you're saying that all kinds of data, whether it comes from our senses or our logical thinking, only really make sense when we look at them metaphorically and metaphysically. I find it fascinating to think of the physical world as a metaphor for something deeper.I also love your point about myths, paradoxes, and intuition being our closest way to real knowledge. It feels like you're suggesting that to truly understand the world, we need to go beyond just the literal and physical. How do you think we can apply this way of thinking in our everyday lives?

@@MythMinimus Thanks for reply. What I've said is my main contribution to humanity! What do i say now 😳? Illustrate by example maybe? (I.e. i try to, and so can you!) The rainbow serpent 'waking' the creatures- creation. 'Empty world'- the creator's inherent POTENTIAL (for creating life). The 'motivation' or 'need' to create- merely its NATURE to do this. AND: the creation is METAPHYSICAL, and METAPHORICAL, and a MANIFESTATION. And, subjectively speaking, a MINDSET. With the sense 'data', our nature, the purpose, the potential for fulfilment, the beauty, the journey, the story, the game, the destination etc. 'Being according to the 'Daou' What is the 'Daou', the spirit, God, the purpose etc.? What? Who? How? Why? I don't know 😳 People will have to answer your question for themselves?

Then I will share this with you.i dreamt this as a child. This all seemed real at the time.its a swampy land, with a clean stream ruining.im walking next to the stream.i notice holes in the ground, kinda like crab holes or something.the place seems scary, but I'm in afraid.as I'm walking a snake starts to come out of each hole.all at the same time.again a calmness comes over me.something telling me,not to be afraid. The snakes all start going in one direction upwards next to the stream.i follow them until the stream opened up into an Oasis with a huge lake. In the middle of the lake is an island.the snakes all stop at the water's edge.suddenly a huge shimmering rainbow coloured serpent appeared. scales shining with shimmering light.almost looking like gold in all together. The serpent coiled upwards in the middle of the island.Standing up presenting itself. All snakes rose up ,and opened their hoods and bowed. Being a witness to this event. The feeling is unexplainable.pure bliss and enlightenment.

There are 150 to 500 Aboriginal Nations who all have different creation stories. You should reference which tribe you take this from, and also reference properly where you have taken this story from. Thats respectful to them

Thank you for your comment and for raising an important point. My channel focuses on sharing the rich and diverse mythologies as they have been passed down through generations, presenting them as stories rather than historical facts. Each Aboriginal Nation indeed has its own unique creation stories, and I deeply respect that diversity. The aim of my content is to immerse viewers in the narratives and cultural richness of these stories, rather than providing a detailed historical analysis or educational breakdown. For viewers looking for a more fact-based approach, channels like @SeeUInHistory offer excellent content. My goal is to honor the storytelling tradition by sharing these myths in a way that captures their original essence and intent. Thank you for understanding and for your support. Have a great day 😁😁

Thanks for your question. The Rainbow Serpent is a fascinating myth that appears in many Aboriginal cultures across Australia. Different tribes have their own unique takes on the story. Here are some of the tribes and regions where this myth is particularly important: - Yolngu People (Northern Territory): They call it Ngalyod or Julunggul. - Gagadju People (Kakadu National Park): Known as Almudj. - Warlpiri People (Central Australia): Referred to as Wititj. - Bundjalung People (New South Wales): They know it as Wonnarua. - Noongar People (Southwest Australia): Called Wagyl or Waagal. - Arrernte People (Central Australia). - Luritja People (Central Australia). - Tiwi People (Tiwi Islands). - Wiradjuri People (New South Wales). - Kamilaroi People (New South Wales). My narrative is influenced by stories from the Warlpiri and Yolngu. These tribes have such rich and diverse traditions that highlight the importance of the Rainbow Serpent in their cultures. I really aim to honor these stories by sharing them in a way that captures their original essence and cultural richness. Moving forward, I'll make sure to add where my inspiration comes from in the video descriptions. Thanks again for your interest and for engaging with these incredible myths! ❤️❤️

@@MythMinimus Also I don't think you can claim to capture the essence and intent if you don't understand the entire span of Aboriginal spirituality and initiation, their cosmology and circular conception of time. Especially if you have not met them. I feel out of respect for them you should not change slightly their story, you should present it as it is with a bibliography.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I understand and respect your perspective on the importance of accurately presenting Aboriginal spirituality and mythology. Please know that I put a lot of research into the stories I share; I spend days researching these narratives and try to understand as much about these cultures as I can. While it’s impractical for me to meet with every culture personally, I strive to honor these stories by presenting them with respect and care. Our ancestors shared stories from wherever they traveled, focusing on the importance of the messages and cultural aspects rather than the specific origins. My aim is to bring these rich mythological stories to a wider audience, sharing the inspiration they’ve brought to my life. This method is how I will continue to present myths on my channel. I appreciate your understanding and thank you for watching and engaging with my content.
