Hindu Creation Stories

Most religions have a single creation story. Hinduism has many. This is because for Hindus there is no single creation, but periodic cycles of creation. The universe we live in is one of innumerable universes.

Hindus are free to believe in anything. No compulsion.Ultimately faith which can't be proven is called religion. No one can prove what God is. Male, female, one, thousands or in infinity. Motto of Hinduism, it is your life, your journey, your experience, and only it matters. If I tell you, what an apple is like. Would you trust me without knowing me or without ever seeing an apple?

Hemant Hinduism is NOT a religion. Google the origin of the word Hindu. Even a Christian or a Muslim can be a Hindu. The origin of the word Hindu doesn't contain religion aspects of it. Hindu is a geographic term for people who were living near the Sindus River. The term originated from the Persians' attempts to pronounce "Sindhu", a river later pronounced as "Hindu". It flows through north-western India and parts of Pakistan.

Not everyone is capable of understanding philosophies, especially kids, the only way we could explain to them is through a story, that is, Puranic stories. But i must agree that we should not only rely on Puranas only, we should also focus on philosophical concepts from Vedantas and Upanishads.

@@aqeel2859no sir. We don't Since there are many ways prescribed in our scriptures to attain the supreme personality of godhead, we simply focus on the one which suits us the most. Like Dvaita, Advaita, Shakya and many other philosophies, we pray to both Vishnu and Shiva. Both are two different ways to attain paramatma, and once we go into their way of achieving that aim, which is moksha or enlightenment, we come across different philosophies. Even our scriptures also say that none of them is incorrect, it just depends on the mode one is choosing.

Hinduism say's in the beginning there was asat. Meaning void and null. And from nothingness that is from asat "sat" evolved.("Asatoma sat gamaya") from non life, life emerged ("Mrytyorma amarutham gamaya")from the asat a sat was evolved and wants to become many. It exploded with a big bang reverbating a noise "ohm "and the universe came into being. You and i are a particle of that "sat". We are evolved and evolving. Thatvamasi, ayamatman brahma, shivoham, soham, Im a part of god. This is the wisdom of hinduism. Bbc mentioned the story of creation in purana, which is just fabricated for the ordinary people. Those are elementary level for understanding spirituality. In hinduism you i and every thing is a part of god or sat. Ohm tat sat.

Hinduism is an Atheism(Science) and a theism at the same time How? The Universe (Brahmand) consists of 4 things 1. Param atma (Energy) 2. Param tatva (Matter) 3. Maha kal (Time ) 4. Kal (Black space) (Today Science says Space and Time are not different they are different attributes of 1 thing and Hindus use 1 word "Kal") 1. Param Atma 2. Param tatva _Both are Param (Supreme)_ Hence equal Atma = Tatva Energy = Matter E = M E = MC^2 (After Solar formation) _Both are Immortal_ Both can not be created nor destroyed only translated ( or incarnated) into another form (or body ) _Both are Trinity_ *Energy* has trinity aspects 1. Creation +ve 2. Preservation = 3. Destruction -ve *Matter* has trinity aspects 1. Proton +ve 2. Neutron = 3. Electron -ve *Hindus* personified it as 1. Brahma +ve 2. Vishnu = 3. Shiva -ve ( _Anu Anu me Vishnu Vishnu hai_ _Kankar Kankar me shankar shankar hai_ ) Since Energy and matter are two 2 types of worship 1. Meditation (Yog-Connection between. atma and *Param atma* ) 2. Idol worshipping ( *Param tatva* ) Why idol worshipping? Hindus do the same rituals on the purchase of car bike house TV AC etc which we do before idols Bcoz A car can be moulded into an Idol of Natraja But no change in the composition of the proton neutron electron So Hindus are not only the idol worshipers but the worshipers of the entire spread of the Universe as the cosmic form of Lord Krsna(Brahm) And Singularity as Shivling (scroll 👇) *Functions of Param tatva* 1. Proton and neutron are always connected form Nucleous Brahma and Vishnu are also always connected through navel cord (Nabhi) Nucleous Hindi name is also "Nabhi" 2. Electrons always revolve in its ring Depicted as Shiva's dance in the ring of fire *Functions of Param Atma* 2. *Preservation* Vishnu the personification of preservative aspect of the Universe energy Or Simply Vishnu the preserver We all are manifestions of Lord Vishnu 1st ideal avatar of Vishnu was Fish 🐠 2nd ideal avatar of Vishnu was Turtle 🐢 Where he came on land Now in last 150 years Science said the same how life evolved and preservered on Earth 1. *Creation* The universe borns out of nothingness (0) and will merge back to nothingness(0) Nothingness is represented by 0 given by AryaBhat 0 is an ellipsoide shaped Shivling which banged and infinity came into being 1,0000000000000000...... And The Universe 3. *Destruction* Since the universe borns out of nothingness(0= *Bigbang* ) and will merge back to nothingness(0= *Big crunch* ) Shivling is the source of creation as well as destruction Shivling (0)has 2 functions So 2 types of worships 1. Creation (0) -Inner consiousness 2. Destruction (0) - surrounded by a disc kzread.info/dash/bejne/h3usk8R8itHah9I.html 1. Creation (0) Pouring water on Shivling and placing shivling near water bodies symbol of cooling down it's energies so that it wont bang 2.Destruction (0) Bhasm Arti - raining down of human ashes on shivling shows destruction of human Now Science says there is a destructible energy *Black hole* and same way it destroys planets into dust and ultimately collapses into singularity (Shivling) Now *String theory* looked into quarks and found out vibrations at different frequencies These Vibrations are nothing but Eco of Om(Omkar) All Trinity principles start with vibration Om 1. Om Namo Brahma 2. Om Namo Narayanai 3. Om Namah Shivay All Hindu prayers start with OM Omkar(Eco of Om) represents the start of the physical universe So Param atma + Param tatva + Maha kal + Kal = Universe (Brahm or Brahmand) The highest manifestion of Brahm is *Para Brahm* Multiverse *Crux* In Vedas It's written Worship both 1. Sambhuti (Matter) 2. Asambhuti (Energy) Otherwise you will go into darkness While we worship Param tatva(Matter) more not Param atma (Energy) So Do Meditation for 1 hour every day with/without chanting Om It rejuvenates ur body and soul All sages did meditation, Ravan did meditation , Lord Buddha did meditation to empower themselves ____________________ *Summary* In the beginning there was nothingness(0) which banged Came *Adi Para Shakti* Name is self explanatory "1st energy beyond all existence" _Then_ Vibration of Om(String theory) _Came_ Proton (Brahma) _Hence_ Brahma is said to be the creator of the material universe _Then_ Trinity(3) to 33 kinds of things which consist of the entire universe _______________________ There are 2 things Worship 1.Param atma (Energy) 2.Param tatva (Matter) Now We all heard worship the Paramatma But What is param tatva(matter) Advance defination of matter Matter is "a highly concentrated form of energy" So There are 2 types of energies 1. Invisibile energy 2. Concentrated energy (Matter) Hence We can say that Param atma has 2 forms 1. Formless (Energy) 2. Formed (matter : Condense energy) In Short, Param atma is everywhere in manifested and in unmanifested form

I would say there's no point in proving one religion right over the other. All of them have some truths in them, and they convey lessons through stories and symbols. We see patterns repeating all over in every part of the world. These stories aren't meant to be understood in a materialistic view, as that misses the point. All that matters, really, at the end of the day, is that uphold the beliefs and values instilled in these epic myths. What brings you closer to your destination? Proving fact from from fiction? Or learning from the wisdoms passed down to you?

It is a simplified version of one of the intense spiritual philosophies on the Dharmic Way (call it hindu religion) Vaishnava section. And sadly, most people are stupid enough to take spirituality in a literal way... Spirituality isnt a mere conception of non-material realm, but a wider perspective on living the soul to its natural essence. Well, if you dont understand my word, you certainly not good enough to understand the true meaning of Vedas. Mind need to be trained, and coexist with the soul, because its the mind natural position anyway. Remember that folks.

Hinduism has many creation stories because for hindus there is no single creation but periodic cycles of creation, the universe we live in is one of the innumerable universes. One of the most widely accepted stories begins with a vast open ocean and a serpent. Vishnu is asleep in it’s colis, a lotus sprouts from his naval. On top sits the four headed demi god brahma. At first Brahma can’t tell who he is or what he should do. Vishnu encourages Brahma to create the world from the materials he has provided. After Eons of meditation Brahma hears a sound arriving from the depths of the ocean. A humming, that increases in volume; the sacred OM (this is actually scientifically proven to be the sound of the sun). Brahma splits the lotus into three parts; one becomes the heaven (Dyavaprthivi), another the Sky (ākāśa), the third the Earth (Prithvi). He creates grass, flowers, trees, birds and other animals. The world fills with living, breathing things. Regularly within the cycles of creation Brahma wants to produce more species or to increase the population of the universe. One time he produced two forms; a male and female, they combine to give birth to sons another time he divided in two becoming male and female. The female part become a cow and the male part a bull; they give birth to calves. Then she became a mare and he become a horse; they have Falls and so the process continued to expand the living world.

People saying a lot of unnecessary things about Sanatana Dharma. Let me clarify. The creation in Sanatana Dharma/Hinduism is something which goes on and on and on. Parabrahman is the ultimate cause from which everything arises. Everything is him. Just like everything is made of same electrons, protons and other subatomic particles on the microscopic level but are different in appearance in the macroscopic level. That one is existing as many. That Parabrahmam is existing as Adishakti, Brahma, Vishnu, Siva and is taking care of the creation. Other devatas are also parabrahman existing in their respective forms. The soul, atman is him existing with an external physical body resulting in the loss of the identity of self and started identifying with the external physical appearance. Knowing what it is and actually experiencing it is the quest of life. That is the game/play/test. It happens with understanding the scriptures, reflecting upon them, upon the self, upon the world. Truth can only be found with will power and perseverance and questioning. In all the 4 basic forms of parabrahman existing to take care of the creation, creation happens in the lifetime of Brahma. Brahma has a lifespan of 100 years. Each year12 months/360 days. Each month 30 days. Each day has a day time and a night time. In the day time, the creation happens. In night time pralaya/annihilation. Repeats again the next day. And so on until 100 years of Brahma. After 100 years of Brahma, 100 years of pralaya. Nothingness. Again it starts and so on. In these day times of Brahma, one time it starts from Adishakti, one time from Brahma, from Vishnu, from Shiva and so on in all the day times of the 100 year lifespan of Brahma. All the puranas talk about various times of creations. The present one started from Vishnu and is called Svetha Varaha Kalpa. Kalpa is the day time of Brahma. Various kalpas, various creations. Each kalpa has 14 manvantaras ruled by Manu. Manu is the progenitor of mankind. And mankind doesn't come from one man and one woman. Comes from various couples, i.e. Manu's children and other people. Not among themselves. No incest. Man, woman, human, Manav, manushya, etc. All come from Manu of Sanskrit or Sanatana Dharma. Between one Manu and another Manu, a great flood comes and the next Manu is saved by Vishnu in the form of a fish called Matsya on a boat built by him. The same story is found across various civilisations and religions. The abrahamic religions called Manu as nu and then Noah. In each manvantara or time period of Manu, there are 71 mahayugas, each mahayuga containing 4 yugas. Satyayuga, tretayuga, dwaparayuga and kaliyuga. Kaliyuga has a time period of 432,000 years. The previous one is 2 times this. It's previous one is 2 times the the present one and so on. We at present are in the 1st day of the 51st year of Brahma. The day or kalpa is Svetha Varaha Kalpa. 51st year of 100 (2nd half or parardha) 1st month of 12 1st kalpa (Shveta-Varaha Kalpa) of 30 7th manvantara (Vaivasvatha Manu) of 14 28th chatur-yuga of 71 4th yuga (Kali-yuga) of 4 yugas. Knowing who we truly are and reducing our Karma and achieving Moksha/ going back to where we come from, i.e. the soul going back to God and becoming one with him as it's actually only Parabrahmam that exists and nothing else in reality. There the test/game/play ends for each of us. We will definitely go there in a matter of time. Because God didn't create us with our permission/acceptance. So he is responsible. He is not sadistic in nature to create without us saying anything only to end up in hell for eternity. Sanatana Dharma says hell and heaven are temperory places where we go for perfection to reach the final destination, Moksha. Truth lies beyond the materialistic/wordly pleasures. Parabrahmane Namaha. 🪔🕉🙏🏻

Param Atma (Energy) 2. Param tatva (Matter) 3. Mahakaal (Time) 4. Kaal (Black space) Param atma and Param tatva Both have Trinity *Trinity of Param atma (Energy) * 1. Creation (Brahma +ve) 2. Preservation (Vishnu=) 3. Destruction (Shiva-ve) Ex. Vishnu the personification of Preservative aspect of the Universe energy (Param atma) 1st avatar of Vishnu was Fish 🐠 2nd Avatar was Turtle 🐢 Where he came on land Now Science says the same how life evolved and preservered on Earth *Trinity of Param tatva (Matter) * 1. Proton (Brahma +ve) 2. Neutron (Vishnu=) 3. Electron (Shiva-ve) Your story is personification of 1. Proton (Brahma+ve) 2. Neutron (Vishnu =) Water has no electron It means water has only proton and neutron So Water is the resting place of Brahma(Proton ) and Vishnu (Neutron) Proton and neutron are always connected form Nucleus Brahma and Vishnu are also always Connected through navel cord Navel in hindi "Nabhi" Necleus in hindi "Nabhi" So Plz stop ur non sense Hindus are vegetarians never had stone age era as Entire universe is divine why kill anything... I studied Christianity, Islam, Shinto, and others but Santana Dharma spoke most truth. The parts I really agree with is the idea of not labeling ourselves, and our spirituality being a personal journey. I think many cultures can learn from following Dharma, first by respecting life and people in all forms. Because what we call man, woman, tree, tiger, bird, muslim, hindu, christian, is all Brahman. If people thought like this, the killing of eachother and animals would stop. Because me killing you, is like killing myself. I recommend studying Shinto from Japan as well. Another amazing belief system, that shares much in common with Hinduism. Similar gods, and respect for life. It mainly focuses on nature. but it is very beautiful. You can be both Hindu and Shinto. Like the Shinto Buddhists of Japan.

Prajapati’s Sacrifice as described in the Vedas The Vedas are a collection of Hindu religious books written before the earthly life of the Lord Jesus Christ. The literal meaning of the word is the Lord of all creation. He is the Creator. Therefore, the Prajapati’s Sacrifice means the Sacrifice of God Himself. There are several verses in the Vedas in connection with this. Let me quote one of them from the Tandyamahabrahmana in its second part, chapter 7: “Prajapatirddevebhyam Atmanam yajnam krtva prayacchat” (Having done a self-sacrifice, Prajapati, the Lord of all creation, offered Himself for gods.) This concept of self-sacrifice is very significant. Normally, God is supposed to receive sacrifices and offerings; but here the victim of sacrifice is God Himself. The opinions of the Hindu Scholars Among the Hindu scholars we cannot see any unanimous opinion about the Prajapati-sacrifice. According to some scholars this sacrifice has not yet been done on this earth, yet others hold that it is only a model of a perfect sacrifice, which is already done in heaven. H. Aguilar, one of the Sanskrit scholars of India, writes in his book, The Sacrifice in the Rg Veda, as follows: “Taken in its totality, the myth of the Purusa/Prajapati is not unworthy of the Christian conception of the redemptive incarnation of the logos (Word = Jesus) by means of ‘kenosis’ (emptying), leaving out the question whether they (Christians) can be homologated (in agreement) or not” (The Sacrifice in the Rg Veda, Page 69. Bharatiya Vidya Prakasam, Delhi. India. 1976). We can agree to the opinion of the Sanskrit scholar when we understand the sacrificial nature of the crucifixion of Jesus Christ for the remission of the sin of mankind. The Holy Bible always explains the death of Jesus Christ as sacrifice. This concept of sacrifice involves love, self-denial, covenant, bloodshed and burning. It is the greatest manifestation of love. Jesus said: “Greater love has no one than this, that one laid down his life for his friends” (John 15:13). Some Important Features of the Prajapati’s Sacrifice fulfilled in Jesus (1) The meaning of the word ‘Prajapati’ (the Lord of all creation) is fulfilled only in Jesus. According to the Holy Bible, Jesus Christ is the creator of the world: “All things came into being by Him, and apart from Him nothing came into being that has come into being” (John 1: 3). About Him it is also written: “Thou Lord, in the beginning didst lay the foundation of the earth, and the heavens are the works of Thy hands” (Hebrews 1: 10). Jesus is the real Prajapati - the Lord of all creation. (2) According to the Vedas, Prajapati is called Purusa, the Man of perfection. (Purusasukta, Rg Veda 10: 90: 1-16). Christ refers to Himself ‘Son of Man” (Matt.20:28). (3) The definitions of ‘Purusa’ in Vedic literature are meaningful only when they applied to Jesus. Definition #1 is quoted from ‘Yajur Veda’ 32:4: “Purvoh jatah Purusah” which means one who is born in the beginning. Well, Jesus has no beginning. He is eternal. Still Jesus is called the first born in the Bible: “He is the image of invisible God, the first born of all creation” (Colossians 2: 15). Definition # 2 “Purnatvad Purusah” means the One who is perfection is Purusah is also fulfilled in Jesus. When all men of the world are imperfect beings, Jesus Christ, the Son of Man is the one and the only perfect Man in this world. Definition #3: “Sa yat purvo asmat sarvasmat sarvan papmana ausat tasmat Purusah (He who burns out sin before all is Purusa” (Brhadaranykoponisad 1.4.1). The Chandogyopanisad 1.6. 6-7 says: This man is above all sin and one who worships Him and follows Him also raise himself above sins.” Jesus Christ came to this world to save sinners from their sins. At the same time He was above from sins. He is the one and the only sinless Man in this world. According to the Vedas the victim of the Purusa-Prajapati’s sacrifice should be blameless. It is completely fulfilled in Jesus. (4) The Sacrificial Man should be closely tied to the sacrificial pillar (Sathapathabrahmana 3.7.3.1). Christ was closely nailed to the cross, the sacrificial pillar. (5) The blood of the Sacrificial Man should be shed, according to the Vedas. Fulfilled in Jesus’ crucifixion. (6) The Sacrificial Man should return to life after the sacrifice. (Brhadaranykopanisad 3.9.28.4,5). Fulfilled in Jesus’ resurrection.
