The ATL BAKERY that stole my heart. What I ate in 1 week at Colette's Bread and Bakeshop.

Door is propped open, the distant ring of an oven timer going off, the hum of a speaker playing tunes. Walking into this bakeshop instantly feels like you've stepped into the kitchen of a bakery. Lucky are the those who get a behind the scenes glimpse of the production of a bakeshop, but here the transparency is front and center. And just before you have the chance to think you've entered through the wrong door, a kind voice greets you, donning an apron, flanked by an array of pastries and bread loaves with ovens and racks just beyond.
As your eyes adjust to the warmly lit setting you begin to notice the darkly colored pastries sitting in the display case. You could say they're blessed by the caramelization gods, or more accurately, the hands of expert bakers. Dotted in each pastry rests a handful of baked-in, gem colored produce signaling what time of year it is. Simultaneously, the scent of dry herbs, cooked sugar, browned butter, melted chocolate, and sourdough starter hugs your olfactory senses making it difficult to choose what you'll have that day and not be consumed by the urge to just take one of everything.
The experience of paying a visit to Colette bread and bakeshop is sure to leave a lasting impression. One where you walk away feeling thankful places like this exist. Sarah Dodge and her team provide goods, daily, to coffee shops and food businesses in the area. The up to date list can be found on their website and Instagram page.
