Boy, this reminds me a lot of the 2011 draft, when there were a lot of extremely promising defensive players, and teams were still dumb enough to take QB busts like Gabbert or Locker high in the first round. What's also very similar is the fact that next year there are going to be at least 2-3 QBs, who are better than any QB in this years draft. Like 2012, when Luck, RG3, Wilson etc. declared. It would be 10x smarter if you are the Browns to not draft a QB high, start Kessler, and if Kessler sucks they are going to have a high draft pick next year, so then they can take a real promising prospect like Rosen or Darnold.

Well this didn’t age well…

Derek Barnett should be ahead of Myles Garrett. The only reason he's gotten so much hype is because of his physical capabilities. And Watson is the #1 QB in this draft. Anyone that passes on him will pay just watch and see when he enters the league. He's a franchise quarterback that can take any team to the playoffs. And no I'm not a Clemson fan, Garrett & Trubisky are highly overrated. Good but overhyped way too much.

Hype comes and goes. I see Kizer going late first round to a team who will trade up for him and let him develop. He needs time but he shows glimpses of great potential, I'm routing for him to succeed alongside Mahomes in the future.

Jessica Sims a general managers job is to bring in the personnel.. a coach's job is to do the best job with that personnel as he can. If the owner of the browns wanted Jackson to make personnel decisions he would have made him the coach and general manager. Like Doc Rivers is for the LA Clippers.

I think a pass is deserved on not taking Mahomes cos he was viewed as a huge project with massive upside but Watson was clearly the QB to get with the high floor and high upside, ridiculous evaluation

Draft Watson with the 1st pick and build from there. Solidify your offense around him with an o-line and skill guys. Don't worry about defense as much right now, Watson doesn't play defense. He's the face of the franchise moving forward. More importantly he's a winner and every team should want a winner not a freakish athlete. Falcons Fan!!!!!

Idk what games Skip was watching because I vividly remember Myles making Josh Dobbs look like a cat being chased by a dog.

If Cleveland takes Trubisky as their QB, they're gonna regret it because I believe in that Deshaun Watson kid. If Cleveland doesn't select him, I hope he ends up in KC, WSH or even Seattle.

Then why doesn't skip think the Browns should make a move on Mahomes? He jumped off the screen for sure.

The only time Skip was right and he was half right, Garrett was always the real deal

We are literally in a era where as far as QBs the later you draft them the bigger they will become if you get them early the media will tear them apart and they won't live up but if you make them wait they grow a chip on their shoulder and play at their best

Watson is only QB who has a chance in NFL. Browns will waste a pick if they pick Mitch. Would be better off trading for Jimmy G

i watched college football all year and didn't hear about Trubisky until after the National Championship. The guy played 13 games........for UNC. All the pundits say he is better than Watson. Really? How? I smell elitism and nepotism...... it wreaks.

Skip's Eye Test Argument = Jay Cutler, Manziel, RG3, Vince Young........just to name a few.

I got to UNC CHapel Hill and I have no clue why Trubisky is so high on draft boards.... he was average, one year starter, he's not even 2nd best qb. He has bust written all over him. On the other hand, I can see what Skip says about Garrett, but I still think he is high end talent. Maybe not 1st pick, but still high 1st. I agree with skip, Garrett can be very good, but I didnt see him 'flash' on the screen either

I rarely, rarely agree with anything skip has to say, but I think I'm on his side with this. Myles Garrett is a physical talent, he's no #1 overall pick. Trubisky is a mid third rounder max. In fact, no QBs have first round grades in this class. PICK DBs and TEs, you will be happy in the long run.

Got to agree with Skip on this one. If Trubisky goes in the first THREE rounds, NFL scouting is a freaking joke.

The truth is I think the only QB I would take with a first round pick would be Watson. I have seen him rise to the occasion on the big stage in CFB. He is also a 2 year starter. Mahommes has potential and would be good in a vertical offense. Trubisky is way overrated. I do not know that much about Kizer.

Skip was 100% wrong about Garrett, but he and mostly everyone was 100% right about Trubisky.

Take an O lineman with both first rounders, and two linebackers with the two second round picks. Two or 3 years from now they'll be in great shape if they listen to me.

Any team dumb enough to take a QB within the first 2 rounds deserves to lose. I don't understand why teams just can't wait and build to wait for a LOADED quarterback class next year. Mayfield, Darnold, Rosen, Jackson, and many more...
