    They need to stop listening to nfl draft “analysts” when it comes to evaluating quarterbacks and stop being swayed by the notion of the classic quarterback. Take a guy that you can build an offense around and mentor into the leader of your team. Stop trying to turn dudes with certain skills into something they are not and definitely stop plugging these young kids into spots and expecting them not to struggle or have growing pains. Quarterbacks are a hit or miss prospect. A lot of the great ones aren’t even first rounders. I also love listening to how wrong Mel Kiper is on his draft analysis because later those same guys he trashes end up leading the league. And also some of his knocks on certain players about them being “slight of build” are soooo dumb especially when you actually look at the guy and see he’s basically talking out his ass. Just stop listening to these dumbass analysts they don’t have a crystal ball to show where a person will end up. I mean look how many ppl swore up and down Lamar Jackson should have been a wide receiver or running back. Now ain’t that a bitch!

    @@davidsimmons3391 dude... No it isnt. All I am saying is that there is no proof that Mitchell Trubisky had less potential that Deshaun Watson. If you knew satistics you would understand that you can't determine a cause a effect relationship from an observational study, because of all the confounding variables. You would need to do an experiment to determine that Mitchell Trubisky had less potential than Deshaun Watson. So pretty much, it is impossible to determine who had more potential, because of the confounding variables. You could say that you THINK Watson's career is turning out better because he had more potential, but you can not 100% say that, because there was never an experiment blocking out the other possible explanatory variables. Each quarterback was givon drastically different situations with many different explanatory variables determining the response variable.

Most mock drafts of the 2017 draft had dashaun Watson higher anyways and he was a much more complete quarterback than any one coming out of the class out the bat (biased I am a Texans fan after all). When the Bears drafted Trubisky, I thought he would be decent. He wasn't going to be as good as Deshaun Watson or Patrick Mahomes, but he would be enough to alleviate the suffering of trying to watch Jay Cutler try in vain to throw a football, and hopefully propel the Bears at least into the playoffs again. He has shown promise on multiple occasions, and I thought that getting Matt Nagy, a renowned quarterback coach, would help him find the footing he needs. That didn't happen. Trubisky consistently overthrows his targets and he has issues throwing long passes, meaning he really doesn't get a lot of passing yards. I think that the Bears ought to keep him as a backup this year, and then let him go and find a new quarterback to take his place or just let Foles keep the starter job if he proves himself enough. Foles has done well in both of the games he started, despite losing one of those games, and I would argue that he was decent back in Jacksonville but did not have the team surrounding him to really make him shine. A bit like Matt Stafford and the Lions, really. With the Bears, he has a decent offense and a solid defense to support him, and I think he'll do well. Also, on a closing note, fuck Ryan Pace we need to fire him and not moving Kyle Long to left tackle and keeping him on the team was one of the stupidest decisions ever made. I rest my case.

    having watched Trubisky in college, I cannot understand why anyone thought he'd be a starting NFL QB. you can't just magically turn someone with the right physique into a skilled passer in the NFL.

    @@zakariaosman2384 Okay, so Mahomes had a really good QB to sit behind in Alex Smith, Mahomes even said that a lot of what he learned came from him. He also had a really good coaching staff in Kansas City, and an already really good team

    The Bears learned a lesson with Trubisky. Never Draft a Quarterback that doesn’t prove himself in college. It’s not basketball

  • @paulcarr5918
    @paulcarr59183 жыл бұрын

    Trubisky failed in the NFL because he was drafted way too high for what his value was (traded up one spot too when no one was taking him there), so had too much expectation...but mainly because he was quarterback for the Chicago Bears. Damn it fucking sucks to be a Bears fan

    Why a 26-yo QB failed who you lay out quite well is mostly a victim of the Bears' idiocy and can easily request a trade.

    Melissa Skaines yup I think Haskins is garbage and has never impressed me one bit! He has never had a “great game” only “decent or mediocre games” other QBs have Atleast one great game showing they have potential. Everytime Haskins got his chance he threw a pick or just didn’t do good and over threw receivers. The man can make some great throws but he is super inconsistent and very inaccurate it’s time for Washington to start planning for a new QB

    If Mitch was a 2nd or early 3rd round pick, he could have developed without the pressure of being the player traded up and past Mahomes. Chicago rushed him and Nagy isn't the QB whisperer.
