12:53 Learn more about how to get rid of a fatty liver!
Let's talk about the best meal to detox the liver. It's important to keep in mind that a liver detox is very different from a liver cleanse.
Liver "cleanses" won't help you clean your liver in any significant way. But supporting your natural detoxification process may be beneficial.
Your liver has two phases of detoxification that help get rid of toxins. The goal of this detoxification process is to turn poisons into harmless water-soluble particles.
Some people have a genetic problem with particular detoxification enzymes. This can make you more susceptible to damage from certain toxins. A DNA test can give you the information you need to avoid a certain toxin and better support detoxification.
Fixing your diet is the best way to support liver detoxification. You don't need a short-term detox or cleanse. You need to make certain foods that support the liver a part of your regular diet.
The best meal for liver detox:
• Eggs cooked with onions, garlic, and sea salt
• Cruciferous vegetables
• Kefir with walnuts and low-carb, no-sugar chocolate chips
• Add herbs to your meal like thyme, sage, oregano, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and rosemary

LOL, that's close to what I eat. Don't get much kefir or walnuts. I'd say plenty of extra virgin olive oil should be in there. I also eat a lot of wild sardines and salmon. PS: Oh yeah, though I don't get kefir, I get greek yogurt, kimchi and sauerkraut.

@@grogdizzy5814 You guys aren't the only ones though, who have somewhat disapproving partners. I need to tread carefully with my boyfriend, concerning what I share with him. He is skeptical of all "youtube doctors", after having witnessed friends being scammed, and I do understand that. Some skepticism and caution is always healthy. But so is looking into different things, maybe experiment a little oneself, and using some time to read people's comments and personal experiences. Dr. Berg surely isn't always flawless (I've noticed other doctors commenting here, some voicing disagreement on a detail or other but on the whole commending him for sharing useful information), but he seems to be among the relatively few who takes his "mission" seriously, by reading up on things and trying to keep himself as well informed as possible, before throwing it out here to the audience. So yes, being cautious is healthy, but not to the extreme of missing out on info that might help one obtain the desired and/or needed health.

  • @samgranthambmp

    @samgranthambmp

    Жыл бұрын

@@Richard-xg1vv Chop up onion first and fry it off in your pan (natural real butter - not marg, grass-fed ghee, organic coconut oil or extra virgin cold pressed olive oil). When the onions are just about done add your garlic to the pan over medium heat, which only needs about 30 seconds to cook. Then pour in 2-3 eggs (whisk together with a fork prior). Gently fold (not stir) the eggs around over the heat for about 30 seconds, then remove for 10 seconds while folding. Continue this a few times; which will help fluff the eggs while they cook. When your eggs are about 2/3 cooked, add pink Himalayan sea salt and cracked pepper (to aid nutrient absorption). If you’re adding herbs, add some cayenne before the eggs (stir it through - a heap of health benefits), add dried herbs with your onion to give them time to cook and release their flavour, or add lightly dried or fresh herbs (eg. Oregano) about 2/3 the way through with the salt and pepper. This meal is also a great opportunity to add more nutritional value by adding chopped kale and/or spinach (add them with the onion) and add some sprouts (alfalfa or broccoli) raw on top at the end. I personally use the olive oil first for the onions and do add real, preservative and additive-free, butter before adding the eggs. This is also a good opportunity to add some cabbage and even some broccoli if you want; which can be added to the onions about half way through. Even better - also add some nutritional yeast, personally I add some to the egg while cooking and sprinkle it on top after. 🤤

@@luisfernando55 my spin is more inspired by because it's very simple, it's shredded cabbage that fries for a bit before placing an egg ontop to fry. I normally don't whisk the egg first. I use a grease like dripping or dairy butter to fry them in and I don't normally add sauce but you can to it with whatever you like.

Incredible video, been looking for detailed explanation of the ‘real detox’ (not cleanse) but have only heard bits & pieces, this mostly sums it up tho would love to hear how it takes it out via phase III sweat/pee/poop. Also guys there’s many more he didn’t have time for like selnium & cilantro for heavy metal chelation (he’s done videos on those).

@@Marypartain996 I had those problems too... The Tudca I used came from Ebay, I simply couldn't afford the more expensive stuff from Dr. Berg. I found a reputable seller, with a highly reviewed product, and bought it. I am currently using 1000mg once a day. The first batch I took at 500mg twice daily. All I know, is it worked a miracle in me... I also invested in Berberine and tumeric, which also helped immensely, but as of now, the Tudca is keeping me from chest pains and digestive problems... Good luck!

That looks great! I’m on Day 9 of a planned 40-day water fast. So far: Day 1: normal Day 2: Felt weak and hungry Day 3: Felt less weak/hungry Day 4: Energy came back Day 5: Above average energy Day 6: Feeling like a boss Day 7: Awesome/Motivated Day 8: God Tier Day 9: No longer a challenge I am a keto/carnivore, but I haven’t been practicing for 2 months. But was strict between January 1st through April 15th. I started with sea salt, NO-SALT, B vitamin complex as Dr. Berg recommended, ACV pills that I only used once though so far, and a multivitamin. I use keto strips and a glucose monitor to check ketosis and glucose levels, as I have been insulin resistant and have had high blood pressure. My waking/fasted glucose levels are 80 in the morning and 80 in the evening so far. I never EVER thought I could do keto, I never thought I could do OMAD, I never thought I could do intermittent fasting, and I never thought I could water fast. Lesson: Stop overthinking this and JUST DO IT!

Dr. Berg, We have been following your videos for years, and we thank you for all your information and helpful advice. This past year, I was bitten by a tick, which caused me to develop Alpha-gal Syndrome. So now, I can eat no mammalian meat, and I have to be careful with medications. In 2017, my gall bladder was removed, and for years, I took your medication to help with that. I can't take it now. Would you perhaps do a video on Alpha-gal Syndrome and possible alternatives for those who deal with this daily? Thanks again for all you do!
