In this video, we’re going to take a look at some of the different foot symptoms you may be experiencing and connect them to the health of your liver.
One common sign of liver problems is red and brown spots on the lower leg. These spots are caused by poor circulation and are often seen in people who have diabetes or cirrhosis of the liver.
When the liver isn't functioning properly, you may experience bruising and discoloration. You may also notice that the lower leg is swollen and shiny and no longer grows hair. Pitting edema may accompany these symptoms.
The good news about liver problems is that the liver is one of the only organs that can completely regenerate itself!
Spider veins, whether in the lower leg and foot or anywhere else on the body, signify that the liver can no longer regulate estrogen. Excess estrogen can cause a fatty liver and problems with your bile ducts, which can lead to gallstones.
Dry, cracked heels or generally dry feet are symptoms of an omega-3 deficiency. The liver makes bile, which helps you break down and absorb fat-soluble vitamins and nutrients. If you have liver damage, it will be difficult to absorb omega-3 fatty acids. Rarely, dry, cracked heels may be related to a B3 deficiency.
Other foot-related symptoms that typically signify liver damage include:
•Itchy feet
•Fungal infections
•Inflammatory conditions like arthritis and plantar fasciitis
•Foot odor
•Hot/cold feet
•Toenail fungus
•Fungus between toes

Had really bad toenail fungus. Had it for 4 decades, tried everything on it. Nothing would kill it. Went strict keto and intermittent fasting. Very clean. Eating a lot of fermented foods and raw garlic. Didn't even try topicals on it and wasn't even trying to clear it up honestly because I thought it was hopeless. Well it went away on it's own. Imagine that. Started eating a clean healthy diet and it just disappeared.

I had liver pain for 6 years, lower right abdominal, to the point where I had pain all day, every day. I knew I had to do something ASAP. MD said it was fatty liver (NASH), but had no advice. MDs tell patients NAFLD isn’t reversible. That’s a lie or obtuseness. I watched Dr. Berg’s liver and fasting videos. I dieted strictly for 18 mos, fasted for 5 mos straight OMAD up to 22 hrs/day. Exercise and running. One morning I woke up and my liver pain was gone. I still have hot feet at night and I sweat a lot at night. Overall much better. 👍

It’s interesting how a person’s toenails can indicate the health of their liver. I live in an area where diabetes seems to be an epidemic. My toenails are clear but if the nail is connected to the health of the liver, I wouldn’t want to always have nail polish on them. 💅 I see billboards in the medical district to eat more blueberries for the antioxidants, but I don’t see billboards that say, stop eating cultural foods. 🌽🌮 Modern corn is 7% sugar but ancient corn was only 2% and did not contain glyphosate. It’s a shame that some vegetables have been genetically modified, affecting entire communities.

Started taking iron supplements aswell but my body had long forgotten to absorb Iron. So I took this amazing supplement called Nac. It settled inflammations the very next day. NAC basically depeletes Iron so my body got a jolt because it was the last resort of its bank Ferratin which was at 4 at that time. I didn’t budge and continued taking Nac on and off. This literally thought my body about absorbing Iron. There are many other supplements in my list but these couple that I’ve mentioned did wonders. Other supplements I took were Tudca, choline, Vitamin C, Omega 3,6,9, Vitamin E, B vitamins and a few more. I don’t remember what having a swollen body and legs feel like anymore. Thank God! Occasionally they flare so badly it’s hard to stop the scratching & then they swell & hurt. Can’t figure this out for long time. Could it be parasitic?

@rezthevampireslayer PPD is an abbreviation for Para-phenylenediamine. It is also called by other names. You may want to research it to find what they are. My allergist told me I have to be careful with dark clothing, as it often has PPD in it. She said if the dark garment bleeds its dye in water, it has PPD in it. Strangely enough, I did not break out with the eczema anywhere on my scalp, neck or face. My doctor explained it entered my blood stream and then caused the severe eczema on the hands and feet. I researched PPD after learning from a Chemical Allergy Patch Test that I am highly allergic to it. One source said a main way an allergic reaction shows up is eczema on the hands and feet.

I was diagnosed with jaundice in my early 10th class and it really ruined my life. your body gives you sign before something big, pay attention to that. It was near death in my case according to doctors. I was constantly vomiting even though there was nothing in my stomach. And they said my eyes were very yellowish. SGPT SGOT were very high and bilrubin was unacceptably high (I think 17, I don't remember now, don't even know the range) and it took me years recovering from that, first thing I noticed were my energy levels were very low, I became very lazy. It does something bad to your memory, you realise it after sometime. Mental focus was very bad after that. I mean I wanted to do things but it's like my body won't let me. All I'm saying is pay attention to your health, that's all what matters. You'll know it when you suffer from something like this. They said it was like a miracle that I was alive. So don't let yourself get into that position because you'll never be the same again. I lost my normal appetite since then and it took me like 10+ years to recover from that (never like before though)

I've had these brown spots on my lower legs for over 12 years. The Dr's said that it was caused by the heater under my desk. I told them that couldn't be because I don't have a desk or a heater. First Dr's brought in a second then a third Dr and they all said the same thing. So never got any answers and still have these Brown red spots on my lower legs. And also no hair growth on my lower legs. Gallbladder removed in 2002. Hopefully, it's not too late for my liver.

Unknowningly, I developed eczema when I was afraid of being diabetic (my grandma has the history) so I cut down my sugar intake and tried fasting 18-20 hours with 6 hour window but I was heavy on soy consumption - I love everything soy; soy milk, fermented beans, tofu, tempeh. I'd chug down a liter of soy milk in one sitting and drink some more before eating my meal. I'm not fat, I just have big appetite. (well, used to be fat). I notice that the more soy and carbohydrate based food I take, my eczema would flare up. I only first started having eczema on my hands this year and after 6+ months struggling with it, having to wrap my hand in a glove all day to keep the moisture in, my skin slowly started to heal. In the meantime, my feet started showing symptoms of the same condition. This happened since last year, where my feet was cracking and extremely dry that I couldn't wear any footwear except those soft bedroom slippers. It's almost like a pattern I'm seeing, whenever my feet slowly heal, my hand start showing the same symptoms and vice versa. That could only mean a few things and considering that I had to take a medication for liver issues back when I was in middle school, I know the culprit is my liver not doing its job properly. Time to be more concious about my diet. I never once thought I'd be having eczema. Looking back, I shouldn't be such a germaphobe and constantly washing my hands and feet excessively throughout the day. Whenever I touch something, I had to wash my hands with anti bacterial soap that's essentially contributed to the extreme dryness of my skin leading up to the condition. Food intake, sleeping schedule & stress level have tremendous factors in it as well. Clean freak was an understatement to describe who I was before my depression started kicking in hard a few years ago. Thank you very much for the insightful information, Dr. Berg. You're the best.

Quit the seed oils, all sugar, refined carbs, alcohol and do intermittent fasting. Check the labels because seed oils are in everything. Don't eat any processed foods, most have the refined carbs, bad oils and sugar in one shot. Once you cleaned all that out you will feel great, while cleansing your body will be slightly sick for a week. Use electrolytes to help get through the ketovores flu. You work out so your stomach will go 6 pack abs with these changes.
