7:23 Just as a note as someone who worked as a gas station attendant, each individual nozzle has it's own emergency shut off. That metal plate inside the housing where the nozzle sits that gets pushed up when you put the nozzle into it's cradle(could really be anything that moves when the nozzle it placed in the cradle), when pushed up stops the flow to that nozzle. It's a safety feature to prevent the nozzle from being activated while it's in the cradle, but can be used to stop to flow should the nozzle malfunction like this one did. Should that not work, THEN you hit the master shut off switch. The master shut off shuts off the flow to the entire system.

@@pliashmuldba It does of course also depend on where you live, how directly dangerous it is... If you live in a desert or any place that doesn't get a lot of rain/snow, you can get away with it much easier, but if you like me live in a place where it either rains or snows for about 70% of the year, it's not only extremely illegal, but a near certain death sentence! It's not just about traction though, as extremely worn out tires are also very senesitive to punctures or outright blowouts...

@@skynet0912 Indeed, there also is laws here for thread on tires. I also do have a set of winter tires, but this year i just could not bother putting them on the car, CUZ even if my friend have a impact wrench and all the other stuff needed, well at 57 of age i am pretty worn out, also been retired since i was 50 sadly. My little car are also EOL, well for me at least i had it since new in 2012, but 2 years more or so and i will have enough for a substantial down payment on a new car, and probably my last car. my car get the binanual inspection tomorrow / Friday, probably ned a new bearing at a front wheel, and a new steering rack as they complained a little about that at the last inspection, and of course 4 new all year tires. CUZ that is most often plenty in Denmark as winters of my Childhood are long gone, actually the snow storm we just had, first one since 2006 and it dropper more snow ( about 2 feet ) which is more snow that we have gotten in total here in the last decade and then some. Normal winter here is maybe 4-5 inches of snow that is gone again in 2 days. I am OK killing myself, but it would be extremely bad to take someone else with me, and driving on tires like i have ATM, well in spite of being a elite driver with 40 years of driving and 0 crashes, well it is still a danger. So while late, i am manning up and doing what i have to do, and my meager pension / savings just have to deal with that.

Pro tip for pumping gasoline/petrol: every pump will have a lever or flap in the hangar for the handle. Push the lever down or push up the flap. It will shut off the pump. Then and only when the flow of fuel has stopped should you remove the pump nozzle from the fill neck. When in doubt, the e-stop will always work.

7:50 if a gas pump does that, you FLIP the lever up on the gas pump. not the trigger that you squeeze to dispense the gas, but the lever you need to drop down to remove the pump from its holster. if that doesnt work, yank the quick disconnect

1:20 the blue car didn’t look twice before pulling out. That’s why in drivers ed, they tell you to look left- then right- and then left again before pulling out. Cause your brain will trick you into not seeing what is there when you look left.

@Lampe2020 Yes there is one. It's usually a lever that covers the slot where the nozzle is stored. It must be switched off to replace the nozzle. Some later ones are switched in different ways but I think they all have a "Stop" option.
