I have a quick question, and I want to know your opinion on it. Since you mention LGBT, do you think the X-Men or Senator Kelly in this time period would mention actual people like Matthew Sheppard & Brandon Teena, and how their deaths affected them. Matthew was a Gay man who was beaten by 2 people and left to die in 1998, 5 years prior, Brandon was a Transman who was murdered by 2 people in 1993.

@@omarcogle1965 yes. almost. Those crimes are too frequent to have the one name for all the names. Expect the writers to include the names of the people they knew victimized by the same crimes. I was in a band, A sign of the times, diaspora connections that did a song based on the poem, If we must die. Made famous by Winston Churchill in the battle of Britain. Ths song speaks on black American victims of government sponsored violence. We do a refrain where we list names of victims. The names are endless. The list of LGBT victims of violence is endless. Expect the writers to have included names of the victims they knew. If the writers use those crimes to spread awareness I'd expect the crimes to be done by the candidate's backers. It'll remind us that there's a large portion of the population that delight in bigotry. It would be bold and and exactly right to show murders being used by the candidate to appeal to the conservative base. See Ronald Reagan's presidential campaign. He started his campaign in Mississippi to reference support for anti civil rights murders. So you will most likely see the candidate giving a speech in a place where the crimes occurred rallying bigots. This season the Prime sentinels were made in chat rooms. Like the pulse nightclub shooter. Like Dylan Ruth, like so many other mass murderers. They're not coy. They're pretty in your face. You just have to recognize what we're seeing. I miss a lot. Rogue, I didn't recognize the HIV angle until my son asked for condoms. FYI. As a black man I can tell you that Malcolm X never did violence like magneto. He was the teacher. He trained folks in defense. Stan Lee wasn't cryptic with the x is x. Magneto is much more based on Nat Turner. If you don't know he lead a slave rebellion that killed some slaveowners. Ultimately he was publicly executed and desecrated. I have heard black people say he made things worse. What should he have done to the slaveowners who probably raped him his wife and children. Killed whomever they pleased regularly. What would we have accepted little Eric Magnus do to save his parents from the Nazis. I am irritated with newer writers who pervert magneto. He's got a specific agenda. He's not a mustache twirling evil guy. He's a guy with PTSD from a Holocaust trying to prevent his people from those who want to do another Holocaust. A Holocaust they repeatedly keep trying to do. The first episode of the first season has the government kidnapping children using lethal weapon and probably killing civilians in the collateral damage. Please make it known if you see politicians using those murders to rally their bigot base.

@@omarcogle1965 quick answer. Yes. But not in a good way. See Ronald Reagan's presidential candidate campaign. He referenced murders to bolster the bigots in his base who delighted in deaths of those they deemed undesirable.
