Tesla Terafactory Texas Update

What’s going on guys, it’s Randy! Today’s video shows lots of updates as usual with many revolving around the groundwork for the utility infrastructure and other systems. I was fortunate enough to get a quick look at the Giga Press exhaust stack for the foundry having additional installation work done, as we could barely see a small section of it coming through the roof in yesterday’s video and in the video prior, it was not visible from the roof at all.
Here are today’s key takeaways:
- In the northeast corner, we get a decent look at the exhaust stack being built that will allow the foundry used to melt the aluminum for the castings to properly vent the gases produced from the process. We can see the foundry still covered with the blue tarp and positioned directly below the stack.
- On the perimeter path on the east side and also on the other side of the power lines to the east, we see the progress on the storm water management system pipe being installed. We see another section with a manhole access section on some of the pipe going in nearest the contractor trailers.
- The south end shows wall panel installation on the east side of the structure is complete, with the exception of the very top set of panels, which are awaiting the roof column extensions that are needed to attach them. The angled section is now having the remaining panels installed.
- The northwestern corner shows the perimeter grade beam trench now has all rebar in place and concrete is already being poured about halfway through the angled section. There also seem to be deep lines cut into the ground within this angled corner area that have several paths leading directly to specific footings. This leads me to believe that these are possibly for some type of cabling or conduit for electricity being fed into the building. Both of the pits in the middle of this section are having rebar and formwork installed, with the pit nearest to the paint shop being slightly ahead of the other one.
- Speaking of the paint shop, the installation progress of the section getting the panels shows that most of the panels on the wall nearest the crane are in place and they should probably finish having them all installed tomorrow or Saturday, depending on how difficult it takes to attach the top sections nearest the crane.
- The switchyard shows the trench containing conduit leading to the factory having major work done. We also see the first glimpse of how they might be trying to run the conduit under the road.

At 4:16 looks like they're cutting six skylights through the roof. At 4:25 it looks like they had to dig the trench farther away from the heavy concrete pillars and walls to prevent collapse. Interesting. Keep off the grass! 5:50 😱😱 At some point this east side trench is going to have to cross over and connect to the other side. At 7:20 there goes all the daylight. Dim lights until they get the permanent lights up and running. At 8:41 those 55 mph winds sure take a toll on the blue wrappers. Seen it a lot, it seems that the packagers should use something more substantial. Thanks, Randy, for the up close videos. I adore the music too.

Great video today, Randy! So many new things to notice today! - 5:11 new set of trailers being delivered to the Tesla group of trailers on site! Exciting to see Tesla is bringing in more and more employees - 7:01 Wall panels on the east side of the stamping shop were completed - 7:17 a total of 16 wall panels have been installed since yesterday's video. This is a record high since I have been tracking! Only 16 remaining till they reach the roof line on the southern end, and it looks like they are actively installing another one in this video. - 8:27 lots of people working on the roof of the stamping area... they appear to be cleaning it up. Getting ready for a waterproofing layer? - 9:39 all of the formwork has been removed from this area that paralleled the zipper pit. Maybe we will see something interesting being installed here before walls go up? - 11:43 this area of the roof has been placed and removed multiple times. Now there is one of the large cranes there. It looks to be directly above a shaft that has access all the way to the ground floor. Possibly some sort of elevator system being installed here? Transporting something heavy into the building? It's also lined up with a loading dock, so it will be interesting to see what happens here - 13:31 several new crane sections have been delivered here. These are the same color as the 4 yellow cranes in the parking area without jibs, so I expect to see them reconfigured tomorrow or Saturday and ready for new steel in the battery area by Monday! Stamping wall panels update: Completed: 227 (86%) (+16 from last video) Remaining: 36 Total: 263 panels East side has 12 sections that each take 6 panels (72 panels) (72 completed) South side including angled corner has 9 sections that each take 8 panels (72 panels) (38 completed) West side has 17 sections that take 7 panels (119 panels) (117 completed)

@@zacadams7070 Looking back over the video of the paint shop area, there doesn't seem to be any obvious place for it to be located now. Small newly poured slab at the south end of the double roof height area, doesn't look big enough. That path is clear though for the tank to be driven across to the west side. I expect that the vertical drainage pipe section is for a surface drain inlet grating rather than for personnel access. I am very curious about the purpose of the concrete wall panels projecting above the roof. I have no eye deer what that is all about. Also the new footings in the two pits are interesting. The extent and degree of reinforcement indicates some very heavy machinery with serious vibration loading but I can't figure out what sort of battery forming equipment would require that. It most closely resembles the so called zipper footings under the giga press area.

Most drain systems have gratings to let water in, also they use these openings to enter the systems for maintenance. The openings are also vents to prevent siphons. The concrete walls that go through the roof are firewalls to separate building areas in case of danger, much the same as computer firewalls. As far as the foundations you are right, something heavy will be there, will have to wait and see.

It looks as though those trenches are being filled with rebar and concrete to about five feet in depth. We have been asking what is so heavy that it will need that much support? However, I realized that part of the battery manufacturing process is likely delicate work, so I think these concrete benches are to prevent vibrations in the sensitive part of the manufacturing line. And, since there are two benches I suspect there will be two production lines for those processes.
