No they meant what happens in the story, like the whole point of T2 was to protect John Connor then they kill him off right at the start. Feels like a bit of a slap in our faces if you ask me.

I completely agree Dane. I haven't even seen Dark Fate, I've only read reviews about it on screenrant and videos here on youtube. Now that I know Skynet sends a T-800 to KILL JOHN CONNOR(HOLY SHIT!) I definately won't see it this dumpster fire(it looks to be) in theaters and waste my money. Maybe I'll check it out from my local library when it gets a copy next year.

While I enjoyed Rise of the Machines, I think that I actually prefer Dark Fate over it. However, to be completely honest, I like all of them. But truly blown away by only the first 2. So for me, my favs are in this order. 1. The Terminator 2. Terminator: Judgement Day 3. Terminator: Dark Fate 4. Terminator: Rise of the Machines 5. Terminator: Genisys 6. Terminator: Salvation

Just a quick guess on my end. Not sure how many t 800s resistance captured and reprogrammed but maybe they didn't have the resources to keep sending t800s. Also with the whole time travel confusion maybe they thought mission was completed or the opposite and gave up? Idk

Because In order for the resistance to send a protector back in time, they’d need to first gain access to skynets time travel equipment and they’d also need to reprogram a T800’s CPU. Which was a daunting task for the resistance. So skynet was smart enough to send multiple terminators back in time to kill John because they knew the resistance would send a protector for John. But Skynet didn’t know how many protectors the resistance were going to send back. So to shift the odds of killing John in Skynets favor, they sent 3 terminators (original T-800, T- 1000 and Carl) to try to murder John. And after the events of T2 Judgement Day, it is believed that Skynet out of a last ditch effort to try to ensure their victory, sent a 3rd Terminator (Carl) back in time to kill John before the resistance could reach skynets time travel equipment . So essentially skynet’s last Terminator got to John before a protector could reach John

Yes! That would be awesome, but it could only work if it was based on the 1994 Dark Horse Comic series Terminator vs. Robocop(Murphy, not Dyson is responsible for creating Skynet; which is weird and actually explained in the story pretty well. I used to have it back then, somehow I lost it, but remembered that I had all six issues. It was good, better than this garbage that I won't see in theaters.

wtf isthis true he could’ve self destructed himself bit since he has no mission anymore he was broken free from skynet therefore allowing him to have free will to learn and to evolve and adapt to human society he know has a choice to do what he wants so it’s either destroy himself or to evolve and blend in with modern society something no terminator and no machine has been able to do since we always see the machines carry out orders and kill we never see what happens when they finish the mission and there is no more skynet so yeah free will

So really there's potentially 6 timelines from the movies and tv: 1. Terminator 1, T2 & T2's alternate ending 2. Terminator 1, T2, T3, Salvation 3. Terminator 1, T2, T3, Beginning of Genisys before Kyle Reece goes back in time 4. Rest of Genisys 5. Terminator 1, T2, Dark Fate 6. Terminator 1, T2, Sarah Connor Chronicles

Bombing? The movie made $130,000,000 million OPENING weekend I wouldn't consider it a bomb until after its 3 month long theatrical run if it hasn't made atleast $450,000,000

Timeline Start 1. The Terminator 2. Terminator 2: Judgement Day *Timeline END* Although... Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines was good as it closed up the universe as being an infinite loop. Terminator: Salvation was a nice touch as it took place during the apocalypse. It would have been cool to have John Connor and Kyle Reese already be buddies and send him back in time and definitively close up the universe in an infinite loop. Terminator: Genysis had an interesting direction, but NO. Terminator: Dark Fate had... well, nothing good for it. At. All! NO! NO! NOOOO! They should have kept John Connor alive to hand off the torch to Dani Ramos.

All I see in this video is a love relationship being made

Terminator falls into the same category of films Alien and Predator. I don't expect them to be cinematic masterpieces. I'm just glad to have them. Having said that, I really liked Dark Fate.

Watching a Terminator movie for the first time, which was Genisys, can really mess your head up during an exam.

“Dark fate fixed it” ⬆️ They can’t even follow the fact that the actions of Arnold to destroy himself in T2 makes no sense now. His sacrifice was literally FOR NOTHING. The reason this does not work is because it’s too obvious to everyone but you two that this plot hole is just an excuse to retell the same story over again.

This movie was absolutely terrible. T2 remake basically but a lot worse. I was excited for this movie. I left utterly disappointed.

Imo, they are not predestination loops, but different timelines. As you said, if "what happens has always happened", that means Reese and the T-800 going back in time shouldn't have changed anything because they were always a part of history. But since Skynet was destroyed in 2029, there's no way the t-1000 could be sent back in T2. I'm talking about T1 and T2, the only good and relevant ones.

The only continuity that makes logical sense is T1 through T4:Salvation. The concept was ALWAYS about the locked loop paradox and while T2 kinda futzes with that a bit, it doesn't break it. Genisys breaks it. Dark Fate breaks it. If they wanted to reboot this series so damned bad then the only option would have been a FULL reboot; not a timeline reset. The closed loop paradox inherently prevents that.
