i think the tracklisting messed with me here. ruin the friendship & only forever sound so similar so them being super slow songs back to back made me feel like i was listening to the same song for a long time lol the same could be said for concentrate & hitchhiker too, but that was just a sound i preferred

I get really sad listening to this album because Demi had so many plans for it. When they were making DEMI and Confident, they were going for pop hits, but with Tell Me You Love Me, they made an album that they were genuinely proud of from day 1, and yes, Demi is proud of DEMI and Confident too, but they're definitely more proud of Tell Me You Love Me overall. Demi wanted this album and era to last a long time and wanted to even release EP's and such that'd be infused with the era too. It's sad with what happened in 2018, but at least they're in a good place now.

I'm sad that this journey is over, but it seems like Demi won't keep us waiting too long for their new music! The snippets sound absolutely amazing. I've really loved all of your reactions to their music, and I'm glad that you were finally able to explore Demi's discography. Keep up the great work!

Another fun fact; Zedd’s song the middle was originally on this album but was replaced by Sorry Not Sorry… then it went through another 16 POP artists before it landed with Maren. (A country artist may I add)

i love that you liked concentrate and hitchhiker, and pointed out that they feel like you're just vibing on the beach - hitchhiker's lyric video is an actual beach with the ocean washing over the lyrics in the sand! :)

Smoke and Mirrors are Ready for it our such masterpieces cannot believe they werent on the standard album edition

Smoke & Mirrors and Ready For Ya are absolutely about Wilmer & that is a hill I will die on. There are a number of discarded tracks from this record that are also about him. He and Nick were a clear inspiration for this record. It was their most honest about relationships & I think to date, it still is.

I always get so emotional watching the TMYLM music video towards the end when Demi is stood infront of the mirror saying ‘everything I need is standing right infront of me’ , idk that just hits me in my feels.

TMYLM-music video is amazing, because it clarifies the song so much. Demi is imagining the guy leaving them because they know that they have the habit of clinging to people and is so afraid of people abandoning them That's what "You ain't nobody till you got somebody" is about. That's when they learn that they need to learn to love them first and changes the meaning of "everything I need is standing right here in front of me", by singing it to their reflection and therefore to themselves instead of talking about the guy. In the end it is clear that they are not ready for marriage at that point. They leave him before having to face the fear and pain of him actually possibly leaving them. That's why they say "I'm sorry" in the end. "You Don't Do It For Me Anymore", "Cry Baby" and "Smoke and Mirrors" still continue to be among my favorite Demi-songs, I'm still so sad that the latter one isn't on the original album. Your reaction to "Daddy Issues" is everything. I was expecting your reaction to the growl in "Lonely" and clapped when it arrived. :D "Concentrate" is a freaking underrated gem, I'm glad you appreciate it. Thank you for this journey, it has been amazing.

You should definitely do a video reacting to all the unreleased Demi songs that somehow ended up online, as well as the singles that didn't make it into an album (like I Love Me, Body Say, Sober, etc.)

you dont do it do me anymore was actually the tmylm tour opener and i have NEVER seen an artist open their tour so gracefully and effectively without the use of a hype bop. the entrance was still wow but on a different level. you should check videos of tour out! they’re amazing!

You’re so lucky that u don’t have to wait 😂 Demi only put smoke and mirrors and ready for ya onto streaming services last year. The were originally just target tracks and I could only ever find them on KZread but pitched lmao. So I’m so grateful we have them on Spotify now :)

just some fun facts, in the tmylm music video in the end they say “i’m sorry” because the whole thing of him leaving them at the altar was their imagination and overthinking when in reality they were the one who left him, you can kinda see in the last few seconds of the video he is the one looking shocked and they’re the one taking off the wedding ring. and in ruin the friendship the one thing that was always talked about was the bridge, the first letters of each word spell “nick demi” which can be referred to their long time friend nick jonas. same with only forever, which they said it’s about the same person as ruin the friendship, they open the song with “i’ve been thinking about the future and i’ve been thinking about the now” and their tour together was called “future now” eheh

Youre right, Ready For Ya is very deep. Demi wrote it about her marriage of 7 years and how it was over because she acknowledged she wasnt in a good state of mind before she met him and was using hard drugs. Wilmer did save her but in the same guard he shouldnt have kept the relationship going if he thought he wasnt going to marry her.

It has been so good being in this journey with you. Demi's discography is made of true masterpieces and Unbroken, and I can't wait for their return with their newest album. My favs from them are HWGA and DF so I'm super hiper duper excited for DL8 being in that same vibe again. They are gonna pop that pop rock genre and shit is going to come down. I'm so glad that you could got to know them more and appreciate all the good music that they had put out over 14 years. Now, in that matter in getting to know good music, are you familiar with or have ever heard any song from an singer called Gabrielle Aplin? She's an indie/pop british singer and songwriter that has just stellar compositions and I feel you would totally love them. She has 3 studio albums released to this day (English Rain, Light Up The Dark and Dear Happy) and I really wish you could get to know her too. She has other EPs and singles released throughout her career, but these songs you can leave out until you see if you really like her, given the chance. Anyway, love u cait
