Thank god im glad SOMEONE is finally acknowledging this album exists. All the other reviewers I watch completely slept on this album despite doing her first one I was so sad 😭

Honestly, I think this album and especially this song have been more of a push to start working through some of my buried trauma than therapy (by itself) has been.

this album is freeing in every sense of the word. being rid of every thing you couldn’t let go and moving forward at full speed ahead. i cried at several points in this album on first listen and still do! most of the genres featured (trance, uk garage, pop rock) were popular during Rina’s childhood. with the lyrical content having to do with said childhood makes this such an a amazing album.

the part in phantom where she goes "I'm sorry!!!" kills me every fucking time goddamn it rina

I never really listened to Rina before but last year when I listened to Send My Love to John. I really sobbed, and started looking into her music. First of all, I'm gay, Asian, and my name's literally John.

Frankenstein was actually my most listened to song of 2022. This whole album is so good, though one of my favorites of last year.❤️❤️

Hold the Girl is one of the best songs I've ever heard.

This album was Rina's FROOT album.. It will always be remembered as one of her best works.

i saw her live and it was unlike anything else i'd ever experienced. her songs/performance were truly made for arenas! i hope you see her live if you get the chance

I've been at her last 2 Glasgow shows (2022 and 2021) - absolutely incredible honestly!! The number of people doubled and this most recent tour, it really was one of the best shows I've ever been to. The WHOLE crowd jumping and going wild for Imagining - WHAT a night!!! So much love to allllll the pixels out there!!

Imagining IS a specific genre, you are correct. It's called UK Garage, was very prominent in the late 90s / early 00s in the UK! Best song is Hold The Girl or Frankenstein IMO!

Minor feelings is actually one of my favorite album openers of 2022 like never did i ever listen to an opener on its own (that is not an entire song on its own)

Forgiveness is probably my favorite on the album and she DIDN’T PERFORM IT ON TOUR 😭 but her show was some of the most fun I’ve ever had!! I am absolutely obsessed with this album

I’m in the same boat! Forgiveness and Holy are my favorites and she didn’t perform them 😢😢 BUT SHE DID PERFORM DYNASTY AND IT WAS AMAZING

Hold The Girl is one of the best albums of last year

Send My Love to John had me crying for DAYS. As queer people, we just want that support and love from our parents, but often times, we don't get that and have to be our own support system unless we find someone who can really be our rock in life. We get tired of being our own rock, so it's all the more important to find people in our lives that we can lean on.

The key change in hold the girl will always give me chills

Thank you for reacting. She deserves so much love and so much more from people. I appreciate this album, because it’s mostly about childhood trauma and taking your younger self in your grown self’s arms and just loving you, forgiving yourself for some things you weren’t able to control or (in my case) for growing up too fast as a child and not having a proper life, being too responsible at an extremely young age.

CAITLINNN I remember when we accidentally met on my road trip I told you Rina was one of my faves - I’m so glad to got the chance to listen to this album cause I know it would be sooooo much more your style!!! She is so talented vocally, lyrically, and such a great performer and I’m so happy you enjoyed this project!! I’m just always so impressed with how she genre bends so easy, and like you said, how creative she is. Maybe give her debut a chance again now that you’ve heard these songs and understand how she does take a lot of creative risks. I LOVE IMAGINING maybe becuz my brain is like high-key hyper af

I haven’t seen a comment for it so I’d like to explain. Imagining is about being emotionally gaslight to the point where you don’t know what’s real or not. That’s also why the production is so chaotic and gave you that spike of anxiety feeling, that’s exactly what you’re supposed to feel from it. Rina is phenomenal.
