And if he had anymore fight in him he would’ve put his hands up and argued the ref more than that lil shit he did. He was happy as fuck after it was all over. Mr Wigmore literally every fighter get hit behind the ear, it’s boxing. A looping overhand right is most likely going to land behind the ear than anywhere else. Joshua is like the in between point of Bruno and Lewis for me. He's not as technically proficient as Lewis yet to truly be a great fighter and seems to have some of the same negative traits that Bruno did. He seems to gas when he's hurt and lacks that defensive instinct and know how to survive, switching off and standing straight up like Bruno. This happened in his fights with Whyte and Vlad, he had them both hurt, pounced on them and took a shot which just seemed to shut him down. He was able to survive those times but this time Ruiz didn't let him off the hook. I think he will need some big changes or else we may see the same result in the rematch. He seemed too humble before and after the fight, lacking the fear factor and playing the nice guy, something that I think Ruiz really played him on. The stoppage was good, there was no fight left. He'd already been saved by the bell in the third and probably would have suffered a more crushing KO in the seventh, the ref probably handed him a small favor in the future saving him from that. Credit where it's due though, Ruiz got the golden ticket and made history with his opportunity. He did it without being a one punch fluke and beat the fight out of AJ. I hope that they both come back stronger for the rematch and give us another great fight.
