Joe is wrong here, the reason Jake isn't considered a real boxer is because he isn't fighting any current fighters in his weight class; it's all long-retired boxers and ufc fighters. If Jake fought someone currently in their prime it would be a blood bath.

Tyson is fighting a bum and Jake Paul is fighting the former multiple heavyweight champion of the world ... if anyone's got nothing to lose here, it's Jake Paul, Tyson is just delaying his inevitable retirement and he's doing it against a guy who isn't even worthy of calling himself a real boxer ... talk about pettiness from Tyson's part, if anyone's delusional thinking he's got anything to win by beating up some amateur who spends more time amusing people on the internet than sharpening his boxing skills in the ring, it's Mike Tyson, furthermore, Tyson is slowly but surely becoming a laughing stock, every fighter who's still in his prime low key pities or laughs at him, he's essentially Rocky Balboa in the 5th or 6th movie, the only thing Tyson has to win here is just another ego-trip and one fight closer to retirement, Jake Paul fights a former champion and gets tons of money not to mention tons of social media attention for doing so, Jake Paul can't lose, the fight doesn't even matter to him

Truth is, let's say he is a legit fighter but not a true legend like Tyson; this is by far the most savvy way to make his mark. It's also smart of him to not join a real league/circuit, because it keeps this conversation alive. It could be that he won't feel the need to prove himself to "real" peer fighters until someone like Tyson humiliates him enough. McGregor probably would have kept trying to pick fights like this if he'd beaten Mayweather.

At 62 he towed 13 aluminum skiffs, filled with 76 children, for a mile with feet bound and hands cuffed above his head. At 65 he swam a mile while towing 65 good sized rowboats filled with 6,500 lbs of wood pulp. For his 70th he did 70 boats with 70 people for a mile and a half. When he turned 80 he pulled 80 boats with 80 people a mile and a half. For his 95th b-day he tried to swim 20 miles from LA to Catalina island but didn't make it all the way. Still quite a feat. Age is only a number. Mike can do it.
