Hehe I know mate although he could easily Iron Paul out if he catches him with one of his short combos. I'm just saying that him knocking Tyson out would be a bigger story. I'm thinking it's crazy for Tyson to be fighting at his age and wouldn't be surprised at all if it's fixed for a draw nobody gets really hurt and everyone gets paid@@johnreidy2804

Right? Teddy is the only person I've heard mention Tyson peekaboo style and how Jake has never seen a style like Tysons! Seriously ppl extremely underestimate Tyson footwork and everything cause they just saw the power but that power is all generated from his footwork and his base! Tyson had one the best fighting IQs ever despite what majority of ppl belive of him just being crazy but Tyson isn't stupid! Cuz would make Tyson watch film of all the greats for hours upon hours everyday from the time Cuz took him in! Everyone talking about 16 ounce gloves I can tell you this Tyson will still have knockout power with 16 ounce gloves due to his footwork and knowledge of how to use his base with 26 ounce gloves! Jake Paul ain't gonna have power to knock Tyson out with 16 ounce gloves!

Tyson was still the same fighter after Cus with his trainer Kevin Rooney. It was his personal life (Robin Givens) combined with his involvement with Don King that started his downward spiral. He fired Rooney during thistle and was only sporadically the sane fighter after that. This is the time he lost to Buster Douglass, then in a couple years went to prison. After rhat, there were only flashes of the old Mike!

@@thomaso7024 Finally someone who knows Tyson's history. Tyson had MANY KO wins/wins without Cus and even Rooney. By the end of his career he was WASHED UP, period. And once you're washed up, there's no coming back from that. Tyson might still look good hitting pads in those 20 second clips, but doing it consistently for 8 rounds against an opponent 30 years younger than him is a diff story. And I don't see an inexperienced Jake who isn't a real heavyweight much less a world class boxer stopping Tyson, so it'll probably be a draw or Tyson by decision if Tyson doesn't stop him in the first 2 rounds.

The first time I saw Mike Tyson in person I was around 29 years old, 6' 4", maybe 230 lbs, NFL-QB athletic, and I was walking toward an exit in the Forum Club after a Laker game to re-enter the arena. Walking toward me and the same doorway, heading in the Forum Club was a figure. The figure reached the threshold about 6 steps before me BLOCKING ALL LIGHT COMING FROM THE ARENA THROUGH THE DOORWAY and then the light hit him...Mike F-Ing Tyson! I say, "How are ya', Champ?", and extended my hand to shake his. Without hesitation and with great warmth he extended his hand and said, "Fantastic, how is your day?" Mike could not have been nicer as we shared pleasantries for a minute or two, I introduced myself and then exited into the arena as was my plan. We both gave each other a friendly nod when we caught each other's eye later that night inside the Forum Club. As fate would have it Mike and I began to run into each other on a crazy basis in L.A. Evidently, we both grew fond of the same "backroads" to drive our cars, he in his Lamborghini and me in my Porsche. We became recognized, respected friendly acquaintances. This is the point of my story.... Mike's personality never changed with me. He was always warm, interested, interesting, dry sense of humor, as nice as could be. Still, there was not one moment I didn't feel like he could kill me with the effort of a lane change. His physical presence was majestic, his aura palpable. This was over 30 years ago and I gave Jake Paul a 0% chance against Tyson before seeing the workout video. Mike's body is strong, his mind is stronger.

It will probably be a 4 round light sparring match like the Roy Jones fight, but Jones still had a lot more skills, experience and even power than Jake and he couldn't really hurt Tyson or even back him up. In my mind Tyson doesn't have to win or knock Jake out. If he gets one really good shot in and hurts Jake and then Jake just runs around and survives the rest of the fight its okay it doesn't matter, its just an exhibition to make both guys money.. But I'd like to see Tyson hit him hard at least once where Jake respects him and knows he can't exchange blows with Tyson even at 58 years old.

If Tyson takes this seriously, Paul is in deep deep trouble and i think he will be seriously hurt. The fighters that defeated Tyson were excellent counterpunchers and Olympic level talent. Tyson looks like he is approaching this from a very technical perspective and is wiring his old practices together. When it comes together there is absolutely no way that Paul will be able to react to that speed and power and be able to know how to counterpunch it. You cant train for that- i guarantee that Paul does not have a sparring partner that can move and punch like Tyson to help him learn how to defend himself.

There's no chance this will be a real fight. Netflix would never risk their reputation on the chance that a very old Tyson could be seriously injured or even die in the ring. They want an entertaining event for subscribers and Paul-Tyson will be able to deliver that. It'll be the same thing as Tyson-Jones, a glorified spar session with no head shots or uppercuts.. They will be able to create some drama, have some back and forth, see how far they can push it without getting into dangerous territory. Mike will get a chance to land some good shots or stun Paul, but I guarantee you this will end up a decision for Paul, with some moments for Mike to look good. Netflix doesn't want another disaster like Holyfield's last fight, where he practically fell out of the ring throwing a punch and crumpled like a paper cup the first time he got hit. This will be carefully scripted the whole way. Nothing else would make any sense for Tyson, Paul or Netflix.

@@raphaelkoch1573 Usyk was growing out of cruiser weight by then. He also has been a lifelong master boxer as well who beat Joshua by decision. Tyson is used to getting punched by legitimate heavyweight boxers with a lot cleaner form than Paul has. Pauls choices of far past prime MMA fighters who were shot by the ends of their careers makes KOs a lot easier and hes still only 60% KO rating. The one legit boxer he faced before he lost to, Tommy Fury, who is considered terrible by everyone. So sure. Possible. But I wouldn’t bank on it unless its fixed.

@@shkotayd9749 60% knockoot rate still shows he has power even if he's knocking out retired MMA guys plus he juiced so he's hitting harder than a normal person. You're living in a fantasy if you think Pauls punches can't hurt a 58 year old, at that age your chin is just about gone and Tyson was getting knocked late in his career which means his chin was probably already gone. I don't even like Jake Paul and hope Tyson floors him but this is a ridiculous fight, Tyson will be 58 and a few years ago had a walking stick and has been smoking weed for decades, but people are acting like this a prime Tyson.

The contract is a joke. Look it up. It’s not a real boxing match, 16oz gloves vs 10, no judges to chose the “winner” 2-3 minutes rounds, etc. it’s all for money, not skill

This fight will be like the Vietnam vet on the bus story. The bigger older guy who knows how to fight versus then young guy who don't. If Paul can still speak at the end of the first round, all he will be able to say is, "ambulance".

We may see a fatality in the ring. A focused Mike Tyson with head movement and forward momentum is dangerous. Tyson may knock his eyeballs out if this guys eye sock. Do he know novice pers in the ring with a box like Tyson even at age 60 can kill him. He better hope Tyso hurts himself in training session but from the looks of it Tyso is in shape. This fight will last not even 30 seconds. but the devastation from Tyson is dangerous.

🤔 The way Teddy said, "...once Mike hears the bell..." makes me wonder if they hypnotized Mike as a youngster. Cus was deeply into all of those sorts of things. It would be an amazing backstory detail if true.

They did hypnotise him. Cus used to take him to a hypnotist weekly/ bi weekly when they lived in Cus' house. Mike speaks about it in a few interviews. It's fascinating. Beautiful how much Cus gave him before he left

This is huge for Netflix, for Tyson and for Paul. Netflix has a special on right now about Paul's history on youtube. They'll follow that up with the fight. Tyson makes an appearance and it's very enlightening about his attitude towards Paul. He basically says he loves people who put asses in the seats, and Paul is doing that right now. It's good for boxing and it doesn't matter if he's competitive with Tyson.

Looking at highlights of Paul's last fight, which was a loss, he got a lot of work to do tightening up his defense. If this is a real match, then Paul's best scenario is for a 58 year old Tyson to merely be a glass canon, but, oh boy, is that one dangerous glass canon to be taking on with the angles and power Tyson is capable of 😂

Honestly I think Mike Tyson is a bigger draw than Jake Paul. Paul was the bigger draw with all the others except Silva, and even then, Anderson Silva isn't necessarily a household name. I asked my gen z kids, "if I told you Jake Paul is fighting a legendary old boxer, can you guess who?" They both said "Um.. Mike Tyson?" They have no reason to know Mike Tyson. They don't even like boxing much, but everyone knows Mike Tyson
