Stephen A is a moron but Ward is talking crazy to think he would stand a chance against AJ. He is way too small, and I ain’t talking about height. Joshua would punch through that man and he would no doubt have to gain a crap ton of fake bulk, unnatural to his frame and he would burn out fast. Joshua would eat him.

Ward knows that, but then again back in the day they said the same shit about Roy Jones Jr and he proved everyone wrong. Never doubt an undefeated champion moving up in weight class, but Ward knows better. The amount of work to compete aint worth his legacy.

Steez OnyahMomma well. In the movie literally EVERYONE was saying Po (The Panda) was going to get killed by Tai-Lung. there was a prophecy saying that a great warrior will defeat Tai-Lung and Po is meant to be that warrior BUT because he’s fat and looks nothing like a martial artist or athlete they don’t believe he’s actually the warrior. Tai-Lung eventually comes to find Po but because Po stopped trying to impress others and started to do his own thing, he managed to easily beat Tai-Lung using his own strategies. Ruiz is basically the same since no one thought he was gonna win and he came out of no where and destroyed Joshua LOL Basically the theory is, even if your fat and don’t look like a fighter you can still kick the most trained fighters ass in a fight

I think Andre Ward could fight as a heavyweight but it would have to be with the certain fighter you couldn't put him in with any heavyweight. I think he can take usyk as heavyweight because even though Andre was a super middleweight and a light heavyweight he's a naturally a big guy. But no way against Ruiz or wilder or Joshua. Andre Ward as a heavyweight would be like Roy Jones jr as a heavyweight fighting John Ruiz, that would be the type of opponent he would need. don't get me wrong you put Andre in the ring with anybody he's going to do his best but against Joshua it's a mismatch

A rare loss is fine but it's how he lost, understandable if it was a decision that went all 12 but 4 knockdowns from an opponent that took the fight 2 months ago....inexcusable from a name like AJ

I will say this about AJ, and this is not to take anything away from an amazing performance from Ruiz. But, Wladimir Klitschko (and I mean the version who was later schooled by the late, great Emmanuel Steward) would have never let the short, fat man with short arms get close enough to damage him! It would not have happened. It would have been a very boring, methodical fight. This is true. But, Wlad would have pieced him up. He would have kept him at distance while protecting his somewhat vulnerable chin, and that would have been that.

@@wordplay051 You can't fault Ward, or any fighter, for retiring. He cleared out 168 and fought the big names at 175 and finished undefeated. My guess is the money offered wasn't enough. Back when Roy Jones beat John Ruiz for the WBA heavyweight belt they asked him if he would fight Lennox Lewis. Roy said he would do it for $50 million. That fight never happened and Roy went back to light heavyweight.

I love how Stephen says he "had to educate" Andy about what he said and his "superior" boxing knowledge. If Andy wasn´t such a nice guy, Stephen´s head would be floating through space as we speak. Plus, he didn´t just say he looked like Butterbean, he judged the outcome of the fight by appearance and didn´t even bother to check up on the internet that Andy had had 105 amateur fights before the A.J. fight or how unsure Joshua looked before he stepped into the ring etc.
