The highlights of this fight show afew seconds of round 1 and a minute or two of rou d 7 and 11. Teddy's analysis of the fight is spot on. It doesn't take away from Garcias accomplishment. It's just an analysis if the whole fight and not just the 3 rounds shown on the highlights

Teddy admit you were wrong and give credit where it is due …. Or i will unsubscribe you !!!

Ive spent to many rounds in the ring, to see what you see. Garcia was priming Hayney for the big ones. Let him use up his energy before he committing a full scale attack. Ryan played Hayney like mouse before a kill. Boxing is mind games not just technique Teddy bear. Ryan played a stratigical game with his tactical ability. Genius play. Cats like teddy dont get it anymore. Hayne could do what you said but Ryan used his footwork to unbalance Hayney, smothering with flurries - havjng fast hands.

@@boxingdramathere’s some truth to that. Ppl need to give Derrick jones a huge amount of credit as well. Ryan knew moving forward after the tank loss he needed a trainer that could better prepare him for slick technical guys like Devin that Derrick provides. But I’m still not convinced that Ryan is a great fighter. He’s a star and extremely marketable no doubt, but still not great. IMO this fight exposed Devin for his flaws, particularly on defense, more than solidify Garcia as a great fighter. Ryan imo still gets clipped by the top tier guys he can potentially get fights with- boots, bud, tank rematch etc…

I enjoy listening to Teddy analyze fights, because of the wealth of knowledge and experience that he has. I usually don't post a comment on other so called boxing analysts because you can't take them serious. I have always criticized Garcia for his lack of boxing technique. He got comfortable with his speed and power, because he was knocking everyone out. Eddie Reynoso was developing Garcia into a killing machine, but Ryan couldn't focus, he got distracted with his social media and Eddie wouldn't put up with that. Garcia went to Goosen, who is basically a motivator but doesn't know anything about the science of boxing. That fitted Garcia perfect because he didn't have to learn or improve his technique. He paid the lesson when he fought Tank, he basically quit because he couldn't hurt, he couldn't outbox Tank. Garcia's new trainer is working with Garcia's limitations in technique. Instead of technique he is using strategy to take advantage of the speed and power of Garcia. Thats all you can do with a fighter with limited boxing skills, but it will go a long way when the fighter has both speed and power. That is a unique talent of Garcia. Usually speed eliminates power, and power eliminates speed, they usually don't go together. When you have a fighter that is both lightning fast and with knock out power, that is unique. Haney couldn't deal with Ryan's speed, and when Ryan touches you, normally he will knockout you out. That is why fighters like Mayweather never fought anyone with talent that had faster speed, because they would have lost. Haney is the same type of fighter, he can only defeat fighters who are slower than him.

Most experts underestimated Ryan Garcia’s speed and punching power. He’s an explosive strong fighter capable of hurting you with one shot. For some reason, Haney thought he was going to knock out Garcia. He thought Garcia was a quitter. All this based on he’s performance against Tank. When Garcia fought Tank, he was weak by the dehydration clause & Tank knew it. Not saying he would have beaten Tank, cause Tank is a special fighter. But the fight would have been different.

Garcia didn't surprise us at all. He's got speed and power. And Derrick James has improved him. Many people picked Garcia to win, including Pacquiao and Canelo, amongst others. These and other boxers know Haney's soft, both chin and punch. Plus, Haney hasn't really fought any quality competition. He misjudged Garcia big time.

Opinions are gonna keep swinging..I just wanna ask a question about that "poor man's" shoulder roll as Teddy so nicely put it 😅: it was legal...and it left Ryan's kidney wide open for shots..why didn't Haney think of it. Secondly, Teddy points out that the left from Ryan in the 1st dictated the rest of the fight ..so technically for the rds that they actually engaged since Ryan clearly rocked Devin, isn't it safe to say he was clearly the better fighter on the day? It's one thing to stand up and show heart and it's one thing to keep getting up due to adrenaline yet be completely out of it..Devin was out of it

Landing Pot shots after a guy is hurt and landing them at will provides time no doubt... I watched alot of old Canelo fights and I saw that he only fought half a round every round. Pressure will make you punch unless you are not threatened. Bad punching provides an avenue to do what you want. remember Haney was the favorite from the start and getting wobbled made him find the plan "B". when he got dropped it was plan "C". When your legs are gone and you are behind and you realize you are not the face of boxing you just landed in plan "D".Haney is not Sugar Ray leonard and his Dad is not Angelo Dundee in the corner. Boxing took place as it should on that night.

Seriously don't think it was part of Ryan's plan to lull him to sleep. It was a bit of luck on Ryan's side that it worked out that way, but I think also Haney was never the same after getting hurt and dropped. He was off his game and falling into Ryan's antics, he lost his confidence and was fearful of getting hit again, and forgot how to use his jab and measure distance. I would love to see them run it back to see how it works out with Haney on top of his game, but he may never be the same and have the same confidence. Oh well that's boxing.

Bill Haney should be removed for allowing Devin to take excessive punishment. Devin showed heart but he lost the fight early. A better trainer would have stopped the fight so Devin could recover and come back. Why go 12 while wrecked from round 1? Bill failed Devin that night. He may never recover.

Haney had zero respect for Garcia calling him a C+ level fighter and Garcia going through a mental breakdown really what gave Haney that false sense of security, Garcia doing what he did makes him a better fighter all around and if you can’t admit that Teddy then you lose some credibility I think.

Teddy is imposing his own outlook on Ryan Garcia's performance.. and it REALLY falls Short if the facts. Ryan Garcia's Conditioning was fine...the fight was Exactly the same scenario Errol Spence Jr. used against Mikey Garcia...he wanted to prove that he could COMPLETELY own Devin.... Ryan's biggest fight was with that father of Devin's...Not Devin personally. Ryan chose not to freaking LAY that kid Out..cause it would have been too easy & not a LEGACY PERFORMANCE. There's Obviously so much about the Psychological side of Boxing that Teddy doesn't click with.🙌

Look, Teddy knows the first and most important rule of Boxing- Styles make fights. It's obvious to me that Haney will always have problems with Garcia and any other rangy fighter that has Ryan's hand speed. Haney lost that fight because he couldn't cope with Ryan's Hand speed. That and Ryan showed no respect for Haney's punching power combined was what made the fight so one-sided. Haney has always stayed in the pocket too long and he has always been feather-fisted. That's not a winning combination when you're facing the very best guys out there. Ryan still has his flaws and will probably get his ass handed to him in short order as well. Neither guy is really P4P material, but that doesn't make them chopped steak either. I'll say this, if I had to pick which guy has the brighter future, I'd say Garcia because he has a fan-friendly style and knows how to entertain outside the ring. That 0 Haney lost only brings casual fans. Real fans love a fighter for everything except his record!

I cannot believe this dude Teddy mentioned and complained about Ryans clinching but not once did he mention all the clinching that Haney did to save his life…. Had it not been for all the clinching and the help of the referee Haney would of not made it out of the 1st round and for 100 sure would not made it to end of the 12th round ….. Teddy please correct your self cause i do like you but this is not like you ….. one more strike and you are out !!!

This guy really doesn’t know shit about boxing, Haney only won rounds 2-5 and any here can go look at Compubox to dee that I’m not lying. Ryan won 8-4 and that’s not even including not downs. Ryan takes rounds off to get the timing and distance right, it’s something I’ve noticed throughout his fights. Ryan simply outboxed and out powered the “high IQ” Haney . You can’t be 15 time National champ without having actual skills or being a “1 trick pony “

Teddy is big time Hating on Garcia, twisting a narrative. Haney showed he’s probably not the fighter we thought and Garcia showed he can beat the likes of him without full fitness. I have no idea why he’s hating and twisting it

Teddy is either extremely biased or getting old. Other channels called this fight and showed numerous videos of Haney's tendency to throw the jab and drop the other hand, leaving himself open to getting knocked out. This is nothing new. He always does this; he just never fought a fast power puncher. You know who had heart? The ref that saved him. Teddy should have know this but he shits on Garcia alot. If garcia sucks what does that make Haney
