This song is Taylor's big comeback after taking a year long break from music. She disappeared for a year because she called Kanye West out for using the lyric "I feel like me and Taylor Swift might still have s*x, why? cause I made that b**ch famous" in his song "Famous" back in 2016. Kanye claimed that Taylor gave him consent to use her name in the song but Taylor denied it, saying that she didn't give consent for Kanye to call her the B word. Kim Kardashian, who Kanye West was married to at the time, released EDITED footage of Kanye talking on the phone with Taylor on her snapchat, claiming that Taylor was a liar and that she did give consent. Kim edited the footage to make Taylor look like the bad guy. After that, Kim called Taylor a snake on twitter, which made Kim and Kanye's fans start a hate train on Taylor, calling her a snake and ultimately chasing her off social media. After that, Taylor deactivated all of her social media accounts, and nobody physically saw her for a year. The ENTIRE internet then began to hate on Taylor every chance they got, they started editing pictures of her face onto snake images and posting them online, and some people even took it as far as to paint murals of her face on buildings and writing "Here lies Taylor Swift's reputation: 1989-2016" People even started a trending hashtag on social media called #TaylorSwiftIsOverParty in 2016. She released Reputation in 2017 as her big comeback after being bullied off the internet. Then, for four years, Kim and Kanye continued to feed the world LIES about Taylor. They continued to spread the narrative that Taylor was a liar and a snake, but then in March 2020, an anonymous source released the FULL phone call between Kanye and Taylor, and it proved that Taylor was NOT lying. It showed that Taylor was telling the truth the ENTIRE time, and that she never gave Kanye consent to use her name in that way. It proved that Kim and Kanye were actually the ones who were dirty liars who edited the footage to try to make Taylor look like the bad guy to defame her and destroy her reputation. As a result of the leaked phone call proving that Taylor was telling the truth the entire time and that Kim and Kanye were the liars, Swifties (Taylor's fans), other celebrities, and people in general turned the tables on Kim and Kanye by starting four trending hashtags on social media called #TaylorWasTellingTheTruth, #TaylorWasRight, #KanyeWestIsOverParty, and #KimKardashianIsOverParty in solidarity with Taylor, and to make it known that they don't support what Kim and Kanye did to Taylor. I highly recommend that you watch "Miss Americana" which is Taylor's documentary on Netflix that she released in January 2020! In her documentary, Taylor said that Kim and Kanye lying to the entire world with the goal of defaming her and destroying her reputation diminished her mental health greatly, and she went through a lot of mental health problems. It took four years for the truth to come out but eventually, Taylor got the justice she deserved. Kanye and Kim failed to destroy her reputation because now Taylor is thriving in the music industry and she's better than ever. I'm glad that somebody leaked the phone call to prove Taylor's innocence, but it can never reverse all of the horrible stuff that Taylor had to endure in 2016. She was relentlessly bullied and mocked for over a year, all because of Kim and Kanye's lies. Kim and Kanye cyberbullied Taylor and convinced their fans to follow in their footsteps. I hope that Taylor has been able to find peace, now that the truth is out, proving that she was never the liar that Kim, Kanye, and the media made her out to be in 2016. Taylor is a very sweet person, and anybody who has ever met Taylor has said that she's the sweetest person on earth, they say that she gives them their full attention and acts as if they're the only person in the room. It's very sweet to hear because not many people can reach Taylor's level of stardom while also staying humble. But, Taylor has continued to remain humble and kind throughout her decade of being in the music industry. This was the era where my friends became Swiftie. He used to be Taylor's hater, bashed her and even humiliate on facebook by posting memes or funny pic of her with an awful caption. But when the Rep Era came, I could tell how he was very sorry. Not to mention, he's much more active about Taylor's news updates etc than me.

Same!! I did like her famous songs and I liked her but I didn’t listen to anything that wasn’t her famous stuff because I just didn’t feel like it. When she released this video I was like ooooh she’s that bitch! I though she was so cool for clapping back like that and making genuinely one of the best music videos I had ever seen. That’s why I started listening to her and now she’s my favourite artist ever and has all my favourite albums of all time.

I was a fan since her first album and used to get made fun of by so many friends and people and then all the sudden reputation came out and they were all like eating their own words lol telling me sorry and how they are super fans now. It’s funny though because she really hasn’t changed much it’s just the style of music that changed. She still writes the same and her songs hit me the same as they did since her first album. It’s really in the song writing that you feel the same throughout, at least to me!

He calls her up and tells her about the song and he wanted to get her okay on some of the lyrics, but the one lyric he didn't mention was "I made that b!tch famous". When "Famous" came out and she heard those lyrics, she said she did not okay with those lyrics. So, apparently, Kanye taped himself while on the phone on speaker when he called her, but he had edited the conversation and put it out on social media, he and Kim started a campaign of hate, they called her a snake and a liar, a lot of people jumped on board, Taylor basically disappeared for about a year. A couple of years ago, someone released the full version of the conversation and Taylor was vindicated. At the end of the video where one of the Taylors said "What's with that b!tch" the reply was "Don't call me that."
