Great reaction guys. You saw the video exactly for what it was and many people who are not huge Taylor fans miss it all the time. Taylor endured a lot of shit over that situation with Kanye and Kim especially after Kim released the highly edited version of the recorded phone call between Taylor and Kanye where she makes it look like Taylor agreed to Kanye's lyrics for his song Famous when she did not, hell she did not even know the call was being recorded. The real truth has since come out when someone released the entire call after over a year of Kim and Kanye refusing to because they knew people hearing the entire call would know Kim and Kanye were the liars and Kim was the true snake. Going into this album Taylor just decided to turn things around on Kim and own the snake thing and made it the center of her stage set up for the entire Reputation tour. The part involving the crash of the car into the light pole and her holding a Grammy was a dig at Katy Perry because she has never won a Grammy award and Taylor has 11 of them. The tilted stage line is referring to Kanye's tilted stage for his last tour which he cut short by a few cities. At the end of the video when she is making fun of herself the one from the crashed car mentions getting receipts and editing her video later is a dig at Kim. When she is sitting in the bath tub full of jewelry if you look closely you will see a single dollar bill in with the jewels and it represents the one dollar she won in court when the radio DJ who touched her ass during a photo op and was later fired when she complained to his station manager tried to sue her and she countered sued for damages of one dollar just on the principal of the issue.

@@3sisterswine413 Well I don't really know, but the lyric is about her "gilded cage" and I believe it is referring to her almost sheltered life prior to the events surrounding Kanye's song "Famous" and all the crap he put her through and she went through because at the time people who were not her fans already did not believe her side of the story and called her a liar and a snake.

Yes, Taylor Swift, is awesome. Every album gets better and better. Her writing ability gets stronger, better, and its just incredible. Folklore is a album that's so good, there's not a word good enough word to describe it. She has continue now with her lastest , Midnights. No, I'm not skipping over Evermore, lol, beautifully done. I'm a 50 plus black man and I love her. I'm glad to see these guys, secure with who they are and reacting to her and enjoy her music as well. U have black men that only listen to rap, and if caught listening to music like this, GOOD QUALITY, NON KILLING, NON SEXUAL, KNOCKING BOOTS, OR GETTING HIGH, music, then u are considered SOFT. To give some context, she addressed: -The death of her rep - how the media says she cries in her marble bathtub surrounded by pearls (there’s one dollar in that scene that taylor got from counter sueing the dj that assaulted her) - how she was called a snake (12 snakes in the frame with her being the 13th, 13 being her lucky number lol) - the cage scene something to do with fame I guess? - her lifting up the motorcycles is I think how she carried big machine on her back all these years?? - the SQUAD scene is about the media telling her that in order to be in her ‘squad’ you need to be a skinny blonde model and it showed that she had like a recruitment for those (the satire!) -the robbery scene: when everyone called her money hungry and greedy for putting her music off apple music and spotify for fair compensation for OTHER artists the scene shows her ‘robbing a streaming company’ - the scene with the car and the paps still confuses me to this day - 6 dancers = her 6 exes, the media basically said she controls their moves and stuff - choreography!!! take a shot every time someone said taylor swift can’t dance there’s still more to this video it’s the most easter egg-y of hers

"She always got her little squad behind her" literally right before the very scene that calls out the media portraying her "squad" as somewhat her minions/skinny model girls. (the sorta bdsm taylor + mannequins scene) Truth: Taylor has other friends too, the closest being Abigail, who's not a celebrity. But the media made it seem as if Taylor has her own celebrity squad consisting only pretty, skinny models like mean girls. The media used to make articles like "catching up with the most recent members of Taylor's squad/ who got kicked out of the squad etc" as if they were exclusive VIPs when in reality they're just girls enjoying each other's companies like any other people.

You need to react to her performance "I did something bad" at the 2018 AMA awards. Such an incredible live performance, and she performs it different than her album version 😍

This song is not just about Kim & Kanye. It’s also about her struggles with her record label refusing to sell the rights to her music back to her. They wanted her to earn back all her previous albums, one album at a time. Then there was the whole drama with Scooter Braun.

Taylor's struggles to buy back her masters had been going on in the background for years. Reputation is the last album with her old label before the contract finished. The first verse is about Kanye and Kim. The second verse of this song is definitely about Taylor's old label taking advantage of her naivety by practically stealing her work, refusing to sell her back her masters despite her practically carrying that label. That's why she holds up the motorcycles in the video aka Big Machines - her old label.
