I always say that Taylor has something for everybody. From young to old and country to pop to rock to folk and whatever genre she tries. As she says she is a songwriter first and then a singer. Everything she does is for her fans because she appreciates that without them, she would be a footnote. She is a very smart business woman. Her stuff might be a little pricey but she does not force merch down you throat. It’s on her page and places at concerts. Of course she does not mind the money coming.. who does not want that... but her 1st priority is the fans and the people who work with her and for her!!

I'm paraphrasing here, but I saw her response to criticism of her dancing at award shows. Basically she said that yes, she may look goofy, but she's having a way better time than everyone else stuck in their seats. She does not care. Now that is an attitude to live by.

The only reason I'd question whether or not we'd ever see a book, other than autobiographical, is because she loves to put her words to music and production. The vault section of the song was referring to Apple’s streaming service and Spotify. They both tried to screw artists out of revenues, so she withheld her albums until they bent to her will. But she made it very clear that although this would benefit her, the point was to take care of the small and upcoming artists who would be hurt financially by the Apple and Spotify payment policies.

Taylor holding up the motorcycles with the money pouring out the bottom is definitely a reference to her old label big machine records. There are sooo many different references made…Kayne, Katie Perry, media, streaming services…basically all the people coming for her. Thanks for a great reaction!!

@@ameliadavis1979definitely a great video on its own as well, I am one of the ‘if you know you know’ people but I just remember my best friend at the time the video was first released who was a huge Taylor fan as well did not like this video at all. And I was like… uh.. you blind? lol her opinion was “there’s too much going on, it’s messy” 🙃 I was like - how do you not love it? Even if you don’t like Taylor, which she (the friend I mentioned ) did, it’s a very well produced, visually stunning, very well directed, cinematic video ESPECIALLY for a Music Video - like I don’t care what anyone says, Taylor has the best Music Videos out of almost every artist, just my opinion; They’re all so cinematic and really tells the story of the song - except “…Ready For It?”, by that I mean the video while absolutely amazing and stunning, has nothing to do with the lyrics, if I’m wrong please educate me lol It’s my favorite Taylor song. I just love how big and in your face it is as well as it , to me, being so different than all her other songs (mostly referring to the verses and the delivery). Didn’t mean to ramble, I apologize. the "Taylor Mountain" is all of the "old Taylor"s

She is a pop culture sponge, her music & videos are basically time capsules via her perspective. Lots of references & homage to TV, music & pop icons. In this case- MTV (where this video premiered).

Taylor was rudely referred to as a snake. That's where it comes from and she still uses snakes in videos/ concerts. She has sooo many hidden defenses in this.

The top hat costume was from a concert of hers. It's her from her videos, concerts and even red carpet looks. The one in the coffin is from the met gala, her last appearance before her year and a half break from the media. The pant white pant suit Taylor I think was from one of the awards in 2014. The Ballerina obviously from Shake it off. The glasses and T-shirt from the You Belong with Me video. I got to say it just floors me all of us who just recently found TS like she is something new. I didn't consider myself a Swiftie until 4 or 5 months ago.

Yes, a lot of the song is about Kim and Kanye, but there were also digs at Katy Perry (although the song Bad Blood is mostly about that (now-over) feud. A few things… 1. The title of the song- Look what you make me do: Not sure if it’s relevant, but I believe Reputation dropped on the 10 year anniversary of Kanye’s mom’s death. It was said to be a coincidence, but idk.. 2. The glam bathtub/ the robbery/ gun fingers/ biting the expensive jewelry: Kim was robbed at gun point in Paris. Years later it was said in an interview by Kim that the robbers had been looking to rob her before the Paris incident because of how she flashed her wealth and expensive jewelry. The picture Kim posted on social media (I think the day of the robbery) she’s wearing a grill and has her massive engagement ring in a close up. It’s said the robbers tied her up and gaged her. (Also in the tub is $1 which represents the “symbolic dollar” Taylor won in a groping case.) 3. “I’ve got a list of names and yours is in red underline..” Katy Perry once tweeted that Taylor is Regina George (from Mean Girls) in sheep’s clothing. In Mean Girls, Regina George frames her once-friend Cady by writing mean things about Regina in The Burn Book. Regina writes in red marker and underlines her own name so she can turn it into the school to frame Cady. 4. In the line where she’s talking about “you asked me for a place to sleep, locked me out and threw a feast…” Kim videoed/ illegally recorded Kanye calling Taylor to give her a heads up about his Famous Song. In the (edited) video he talks about how broke he is and had to borrow from Kim and basically hoping that her sharing his song on Twitter could boost sales. The unedited video/ call was posted during Covid lockdown and in the video Taylor never gave the okay for the lyrics used and he apparently never sent her the song ahead of time like he said he would. Taylor was telling the truth the whole time and Kim and Kanye sent their fans to treat Taylor horribly and called her a snake.

Oh, and the end where she’s holding the MTV award and says “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative.” In 2009, Taylor (19 y.o. at the time) won and beat out Beyoncé and Kanye hopped up on stage mid- acceptance speech and said “Beyoncé had the best music video of all time” I think it was for Single Ladies. Later during the award show Beyoncé won in a different category and said she remembers winning with Destiny’s Child as a young woman and she called Taylor back on the stage to give her speech. What’s kinda sad is Taylor’s boyfriend at the time presented her with the award and when Kanye came up on stage he assumed it was a bit and didn’t jump in. He said his biggest regret in life was not knowing it was a bit and seeing her face once she turned away. Soooo…when Kimye tried to ruin Taylor’s reputation she put out a statement saying “I would very much like to be excluded from this narrative, one that I have never asked to be a part of, since 2009.”

Taylor Swift albums are kinda like Star Wars films. You gotta start at number 4, go through to 10, then go back and grab 1 through 3. Only the ones marked Taylor’s Version count for 1 through 6. If you listen to the other ones you’re paying a man who exploited her for her talent.

Taylor makes her song a production!! She has a great mind, to blow away the haters! It reminds me of Michael Jackson, like Thriller a production, a mini movie.
