Dude and look at where Kanye West is now and where she's at. Midnights was an absolute banger, chart topper and bestseller. The Eras Tour is one of best selling tours in history. Tickets sold out within just a few hours of release. It's crazy! I just love this woman.

This is one of the reasons that Reputation is my favorite Taylor album. All the backlash, being cancelled, kim/kayne drama, calvin harris/tom hiddleston shift and it being so much she had to go into hiding for a year. But she came out and fought back. She did not let it overcome her anymore. She was here to stay and would be bigger than ever.

That was a narrative that she crafted and projected on her documentary but if you go through her media photos, performances than you'll see how she was active in 2016. She performed at the Formula 1 in 2016, went out for dinner many times with Lena Dunham, Gigi Hadid, attended Drake's birthday party, had her own birthday celebration, and she was even the TOP EARNING FEMALE ARTIST OF 2016 by Billboard. And in early 2017, she re-released her entire catalogue on Spotify and Apple Music and all her albums got heavy steaming numbers. In late 2017(August/September), she wiped out her social media and posted the famous snake gifs, images and hinted at an album release... The secret sessions happened in October and everywhere on the news, people chatted about her next album which was called 'Reputation'. Her tracklist got leaked weeks before(not in the correct order though) and people were really hyped up for that album. And on November 10th, the album got finally released.

I’m a 58 year old rocker/metal head. I went with my two now adult daughters to see the Eras Tour in Nashville last night. That was one of the most entertaining things I’ve ever seen and I’ve seen a LOT of concerts. Everything from Kiss to Fleetwood Mac to Spice a Girls to Kelly Clarkson to Paul McCartney to Iron Maiden and Ozzy. An incredible show

I've seen her twice with/for my daughter. First was the Reputation tour & I was blown away! Second was Eras Tour, again blown away. I've also been to a lot of concerts & she's probably my top 2 & 3 - her concerts are an experience!

The Reputation album (and tour) happened in response to all the backlash and being cancelled. She basically came back and said: You’re calling me a snake? That’s fine, I’ll be THE SNAKE. She embraced it and came back with an album that smashed that year’s sales and the highest-grossing tour in the history of the US.

It’s funny, I’m a mother of four kids- an adult son and three daughters. My son actually really likes Taylor Swift and my youngest daughter really doesn’t… (I like her myself). Funny thing is that it doesn’t seem to be musical styles, but just a personality difference. I am proud of how much hate she has overcome. I may not always agree with everything but it shouldn’t matter if you respect the person, you respect the artist.

Taylor thought that her career was over back then and now she is officially the most streamed female artist in Apple Music history (they posted that yesterday). Her eras tour concert tour is so freaking huge (she plays for 3 hours each concert) She is incredible

let’s not forget the whole phone call between Kanye and Taylor eventually got leaked and she did indeed say that she didn’t want to be called a b*tch or anything like in the verse. And it pisses me off that Kim K or Kanye got no backlash for it like taylor did. The way Kanye and Kim lashed her Reputation in public as snake and traitor really hits everywhere even now some people called her liar from what happened on 2016. Reputation is really a comeback Taylor and I love that she didn't give up or else we won't hear Lover, Folklore, Evermore, her rerecording and especially Midnights.

Netflix has the entire Reputation concert and her Miss Americana documentary where a lot of the first part is shown. I took my daughter to see The Eras Tour in April in Arlington (where this Reputation concert was recorded) and it was A-MA-ZING. She is amazing and we love her. Imagine over 70,000 people who know every word to every song. The Eras Tour goes through all of her albums in 44 songs and is over 3 hours long. She has insane energy throughout and looks in the best shape of her life.

Great reaction!! During “TaylorSwiftIsOverParty” Kim K tweeted about national snake day & it really took off, just countless snake emojis in hate tweets. For this album, especially tour, Taylor took the snake motif and made it her own. Not as noticeable in these first two songs, but one of the set changes later has a massive mechanical snake head. Became the highest grossing tour ever for US & North America, it was epic. I think she’s always been great at finding ways to make the best out of something shitty. Also the therapist person was just her mom, Andrea :)

I like "Midnights" but I LOVE "Reputation." I so admire her for standing up for herself, for taking all the sh#t thrown at her and turning it into great music that made her star shine brighter and rise even higher. I wasn't much of a Swiftie before Reputation, but watching this concert movie and Miss Americana really opened my eyes to who she is as a person and an artist. I don't know how you could watch performances like this and not think she was a bad ass! This was really fun to watch - I love watching new people discover (just like I did) that she was so much more talented than I ever realized. Her success is so well deserved!

It’s so refreshing to see two blokes assessing what Taylor was going through and then showing such empathy as you both have. She was literally going through Hell at that time and I love the Reputation Album, I personally consider it her best because she was really really angry, that anger showed in every song in that album and the way she followed it up in the presentation of those songs on that tour was nothing short of incredible. It wasn’t just about how people were making her out as some kind of slapped but it was also coming to a head with the Scooter Braun issues but what nobody even realised at the time, she wasn’t putting it about, she was actually falling in love for the first time ever which somebody wha barely knew of her so-called reputation. She kept her relationship with Joe Alwyn secret for a full year before we started seeing her out with him. Sadly that relationship has recently ended but it lasted long enough for Taylor to find happiness and they even wrote some songs together for the Lover album. Got free tickets to reputation. It was amazing. I became a swiftee that day and waited hours to get tickets for both loverfest and eras. Well worth it. The hate was insane but karma came back to help her and kick them.

For 5 years prior to all the Kanye drama she was listed as the most charitable person in the US for 5 years in a row according to Fortune & Forbes… and she is amazing to her fans (flowers for big days in their life or sick with real handwritten notes from her). I was at the very show they filmed for this. It was my first concert. Nothing can possibly compare. I was at the Eras Tour too and Reputation still has my heart. One of the best nights of my life! A year and a half after the show my life, my reputation went to shit from slander from one of the people closest to me, went to the show with her. “They’re burning all the witches even if you aren’t one” Is so insanely true, it was a witch hunt. I’m glad I had this album with me, it means so so much. I’ve bounced back from what happened. I’m so much stronger. I listened to her. “So go ahead and light me up” I let them have their say, I cut people, so many people from my life. I know who matters, have found new people that matter. And my reputation is better than it ever was. The value this album has is enormous. She wrote it while dealing with her struggles to cope. And now thousands have her words to help them, to not be alone in those struggles. To be delicate yet fierce. It’s DEEP. I’ve reclaimed my reputation after a dark time and now people see me exactly how I choose to be seen, I don’t hide anymore and it’s exhilarating to know I didn’t let them win.

Taylor was cancelled in 2016 because kim kardashian and kanye west edited a videocall where it looks like she accepted the things that kanye called her in a polemic song, so people started to say horrible things and they thought she was a liar plus kim k called her snake and everyone spammed her in social media with the snake emoji. Kanye also represented taylor's body naked in a disgusting mv. In 2020 the entire videocall got leaked and taylor was right, he never told the right lyrics and she never accepted anything. Moreover, kanye has been bullying her since 2009. In 2019 taylor's catalog was sold without her consent to scooter braun (a man that has also bullied taylor for years and it was kanye's manager during the videocall scandal). Now she is re recording her catalog (six albums). She alredy released two of them and it was a success. She has gone trough a lot and still is on the top. She is amazing!

I have great respect for Taylor. The one area that seems a bit shady is when her album was sold, her father was part owner of that company as well. She said she didn't know it was happening. Does that mean her father went behind her back to do it? If so, she is an angel for forgiving him.

Taylor has energy like no other. She can and does go 2 to 3 hours performing like this. She never looks tired or out of breathe.

And Karma just hit crazy Kanye and Kim.

This is why reputation will always be her most iconic album

The worst part is the whole phone call video eventually leaked and proved that she WASNT lying but the video clips were edited to make it seem like she was 😡😡😡

I loved this reaction. How people will criticize someone so harshly, especially online, as if they are not even speaking about a real person, is so upsetting. I think it's crazy. How could anyone fail to recognize the harm they are causing to this person? What makes them not care? And people keep doing it, repeating the cycle with a new celebrity as if it were nothing. 💔

The funny thing is the woman at the beginning who complained about her having too many model friends and being too skinny is actually a huge fan of Taylor now

That "jackass", as President Obama called him, was and is so full of **it. As you know, he didn't make Taylor Swift famous. Taylor Swift made Taylor Swift famous. She writes songs, plays several instruments, sings, directs, takes detailed control over her performances, and more. Her time is scheduled weeks in advance. She is one of the hardest working music artists around. ...and I'm evidence that she's also a mastermind. 😄

I love this!!! I’ve been a fan forever but all the BS she went through and overcame it makes me respect her as a person. I love her music, lyrics, and ability to turn everything around.

This is why I love her. She is a survivor, and the best at that!!

Taylor got absolutely crucified by the media and other haters. At that time it was devastating for her, but it turned out to be the best thing that could have happened to her. Reputation was the biggest F* YOU imaginable. When she announced her stadium tour for Reputation, the media ripped into her again. She was delusional, no way that she was able to pull of a stadium tour, she would be playing for half empty stadiums etc etc. Well guess who had the last laugh? The reputation tour was completely sold out in no time, and due to the transformation she made in her music and image she appealed to a whole new audience. It launched her into the highest stardom imaginable. Currently she is on the Era’s tour, and what this tour achieved is beyond insane. Imagine that in every single city you perform, you not only perform for a sold out stadium but alsof for another 20.000/30.000 people that are listening on the parking lots. She worked her ass off, and she deserves every piece of success she gets!! ❤

@@22Nimily Definitely. Even though I'm sad to hear they broke up, he was the person she needed at the time. They didn't want the same things from life and that's okay. I have always loved Taylor and always will. Same with Joe. Gonna support him no matter what. We got 5 banging albums because of him anyway. Maybe a one in the future too.
