I've made 2 speeches in my lifetime. Both I didn't write ahead of time and just spoke from the heart. Killer speeches that had the whole place standing and clapping in the end. Speaking from the heart will always come out better than a pre-written speech... Well.. Most times. lol

I got to see Alanis during her Jagged Little Pill tour. Great seats too. It was on the 4th of July @ Summerfest in Milwaukee, WI. There were a ton of great fireworks rt on Lake Michigan, a bit after the show. Didn't even remember till now. Ty. Unfortunately, I missed seeing the FF last summer, in the same place, due to lack of funds. It would've been my 1st show w them. I'm heartbroken over Taylor as well. I wish Love, Comfort & Peace to all of those mourning him.

I remember Taylor in an interview talking about when him, Alanis and her band were touring in a festival circuit in Europe that included the Foo Fighters. Taylor met Dave and they hit it off right away, hung out together every night and basically became best friends. One day Alanis came up to Taylor and asked "when do you think Dave will ask you to join Foo Fighters?" Taylor was like "What! What are you talking about?" When William left the Foos Taylor called Dave and asked to be the drummer. When Dave accepted and asked him to join the band after jamming together Taylor knew he had to go tell Alanis. He was really nervous but he told her. She kissed him on the cheek and told him I told you so. She gave him her blessing and told Taylor that he belongs in that band making that kind of music. Taylor and Alanis remained good friends right up until Taylor's passing.

Its because he used/needed medications/drugs to help him when performing in front of thousands. I listened to an interview that he did with the rolling stones during the pandemic and he said he was happy to not be playing live and getting that "paralyzing" feeling of nervous before playing every concert. He said that the feeling almost paralyzed him to where he couldn't move his legs/arms before playing. I think Dave Grohl really pushed him to keep playing and playing when maybe he didn't want to? Maybe I'm just speculating but from what I've seen, he needed those meds to stablize him in order to perform. So sad... Gone too soon and such a loving/humble person.

0:22 Vulnerability, isn't it beautiful? Why hide it. Perhaps the most important lesson one can learn from Alanis Morissette interviews cause that's poetry, just listening to her speak. But Taylor is underestimating himself, he too is an icon. For me Taylor has always represented life, instinct. Not only because the drummer of a band is supposed to give energy, but energy is movement, and movement is life. And there is nothing more primal than the act of drumming.

look man, I'm putting this everywhere because I need you to know the truth!!!! I live near their hotel, and some drug dealer here is getting famous because he sell some basuca/basuco (drug of the homeless here, it is brick powder with cigarette ashes and coca paste (the coca paste is the cocaine before you can sniff it, pure coca paste) and some tobacco or weed) and that gives you a 5 minute trip that you don't wanna forget and he overdosed feeling tht trip. The drug dealer is getting famous because he sell it for like a thousand to Taylor, and the real price is less than a dolar for a single dose. It's believed that the dealer selled him 10 doses of that, and that's too strong so he overdosed, BUT THE MEDIA IS GOING TO LIE AND SAY THAT WAS HEROIN OR SOMETHING TO NOT SAY HE WAS HITTING COLOMBIAN HOMELESS DRUGS. THESE PEOPLE IS GOING TO LIE TO YOU ABOUT HIS DEATH

I went to Foos shows to watch him play because I’m a drummer too. It would have been amazing. I’m not gonna bother with the refund either. Fuck it. Alanis is destroyed by Taylors passing. I remember hearing Alanis singing live and hearing that drummer and saying, damn she has a legit band, and damn good music and her voice has pure and true and beautiful and passionate! As a hard rock guitar player in same era, it wasn't easy to say how much you were impressed with her due to the style difference. But the music was clearly inspired and inspirational! You can see how Taylor showed his nervousness. He often said he had terrible stage fright. I don't know many who didn't have some jitters and yet some were catatonic.

I haven't seen it yet, but last night SNL remembered him. I keep hearing he was very kind (which is very apparent in interviews), & those who knew him (& I'm sure those who met him) said he made you feel special when he was in your presence. That says a lot about a person. Besides being a very talented drummer, the world lost a good man who touched many people's lives. I'm so sorry about his demons, & certainly stage fright was one of the things that was really difficult for him. Rest in peace, dear Taylor. We'll never forget you. My heart goes out to his wife & kids, his family, all his friends, & fans. I can't even imagine how poor Dave is doing right now. Prayers & love to everyone of them.

I didn't know he was from Ft.Worth Texas, it makes greater sense to me now why he was such a good fan of classic rock when he was a little boy, and now I understand his hunger for making music. I grew up in Grand Prairie Texas, (Arlington area) Texas loves Rock NRoll. Taylor Hawkins lived the Rock Nroll 🤘 lifestyle. His story makes a great Rock Documentary, or even a inspirational movie, because he started small,as a child and became a monster on the 🥁 drums. Made it all the way to England (Wembly Stadium), where many great Rock legends have played. He Had many celebrity friends. Howard Stern always loved to have him on his show with Dave Grohl, Mr.Taylor Hawkins became a master 🥁 drummer " a Rock "N Roll Legend
