I'm a 100x bigger Oasis fan than Foo Fighters, but when I saw that I agree - instantly thought Noel sounded like an idiot. Similar to other interviews where he's basically said he hates Oasis fans, and a recent performance where he asked the audience if there were any Oasis fans in the house, and then proceeded to play Black Star Dancing. He's lost the plot.

Seeing someone like Taylor Hawkins being so humble is extremely refreshing. "I'm only there because of Dave, and I know it". Oasis would still be smashing it if Liam and Noel had been a bit more like Taylor.

This is what I loved about Taylor the most, he was down to earth, modest and unassuming and just one of us who loved rock music. Did it for the love and not the money. Taylor you were a joy to watch and hear on stage! RIP T!

I am continually struck by how refreshing this man’s humility is. Such a loss of such a huge talent & such a beautiful man inside & out. Taylor..you’re hard to forget, and never will be forgotten. Special healing thoughts out to Dave, Taylor’s wife and kids..and all who loved him.

But we need to give him credit for his ruthlessly calculated foresight because he quit playing with one of the biggest selling artists of all time to play with a band that was still playing small theaters that wound up being one of the biggest bands in the world. Just an ace cat he was. Sorely missed.

Sounds to me like your judging a beauty contest instead of listening to music. Hey, thats not my thing but its all good. I admit Liam has a rare presence that most humans don't have. But if he'd grown up years ago, Oasis would sill be going. Fact is, Noel has the songwriting, the music flows from him and he can hit the proper notes.

Matt Morgan should have interjected and talked about 'mum mode' - a reference from his days with russell brand and them funy stories about how Liam Gallacher hasn't got a 'mum mode'. The setup was perfect with his talking about manners with parents and having just mentioned Liam Gallacher when mentioning his jacket!

I love Oasis and have a huge amount of respect for Noel - but I lost a bit of respect for him after he went to dig out Foo Fighters. The most respectful and genuine people on the rock scene. Now Taylor Hawkins is gone I wonder if he regrets his words. A lesson to all - be kind. Banter is one thing but openly mugging someone off who was trying to be decent to you is another.

I agree. I often wondered if he felt bad about what he said about Michael Hutchence at the Brits. Michael was only in his 30's and Noel called him a 'has been.' Now Noel's in his 50's and still playing. I doubt he will care, he's too arrogant to care about anybody but himself. Liam on the other hand is more down to earth and was friends with Taylor and Dave. What Taylor said whas spot on. RIP Taylor, everytime I hear thunder I will think of you and John Bonham up there.

I think it's the story they're both living..Liam is starting again from the bottom, he's the underdog, is humbled and is more real, less guarded now. Noel is the grumpy king, 'high-flying', lofty, and getting bitter at not being loved like Liam, so doubles down on his God of music by attacking bigger allies like the Foos, who let's face it are not egoists and pretty nice. Met Liam once in a pub and he couldnt have been friendlier, he's the guy you want a pint with, but will still check out Noel's stuff. Think about this way too much don't I ha...

Fairly sure I remember this interview when it came out and perhaps commenting but I can't find my comment anymore... I love Taylor and Dave from the Foo FIghters constantly showing praise for Oasis and the Gallaghers The awkwardness of this interview about the people siding with which Gallagher brother... I know Matt Morgan is a supporter of Noel because he has interviewed Noel personally for Noel's channels and what not R.I.P. Taylor No wonder Liam was at the Tribute concert for Taylor, but not Noel
