I don't see how, for at least the next 2 or 3 years, Dave could be on stage, instinctively look back at whoever's playing the drums, and not break down in tears. This is a very sweet tribute, Howard. Thank you. RIP Taylor.

I don't either. I saw where he said one time that the reason he wanted to be in the front of a band was so he didn't have to sit on the drums and not see Kurt. It's sad

They're in their 50's and just lost a brother. I think they're done as a full-time band. They may all do other things but not the Foos full-time. In time, I could see them doing a few reunion shows over the next 10-20 years with special guest drummers in memory of Taylor. I'm heartbroken over Taylor and for the band. RIP

I love how classy and respectful Howard was. He not once mentioned anything negative about Taylor. Unlike certain tabloids and social media platforms have done about substances being in Taylor's system. Thank you for that Howard. Robin....bless your heart. I can see the pain and the admiration you had for Taylor. He was a phenomenal human being. One of the best drummers to ever walk the earth and the most beautiful contagious smile I have ever seen...a true rock and roll legend. Rest easy Oliver Taylor Hawkins. You will be greatly missed. I was pissed when I found out. I've watched hours of his drum tutorials, Taylor was obviously a kind soul and a wonderful human. I didn't think he was 50, I figured he was 40 or 42. He looked so young. God bless Taylor Hawkins.

“He’s gone and I’m sad.” That about sums it up … really hard to process the loss but I appreciate this remembrance!

You can tell Robin and Howard are genuinely sad and moved by his passing. God bless , friends and family. A special prayer for Dave.

Howard was so gentle and sweet remembering Taylor Hawkins !

There are some celebrity deaths that hit so hard your heart actually hurts. This is one of them. Rest in power, Taylor. Rock and roll heaven just got a whole lot cooler.

Taylor Hawkins was a sweet, genuine guy who was a kick ass drummer. Did he have flaws? Yes but we all do. This tribute was so nice, Howard.

I remember when Howard pretty much discovered The Foo Fighters. His show was on Rock 103 in NC and he said, "every time I ask somebody who plays this song it always The Foo Fighters". He said he's gonna have to check them out.

So sad. In his last interview with Howard, Taylor singing “You belong to the city” and his banter with Dave. Was just so funny and honest about their friendship. He will be missed. Really nice humble gentleman.

I think I'm a little young to be within Stern's focus group, but he's always got something meaningful to add to a topic and he was super respectful of Taylor's memory. I think I'll tune in more often

One thing is sure.. Taylor has given us everything he could give in a lifetime, he just had to squeeze it into 50 years. Rest in peace.. my hero!

I was lucky enough to be there for the last show (about 20 yds from the stage) I couldn´t believe it when I heard the news!💔

I’ve been waiting for your words since friday Howard, I saw/heard every interview you did with them and it was always a blast. He was always super relaxed and seemed to make absolutely everyone around very comfortable, from the janitors to the suits. Y’all lucky to have had the chance to share a space with him so many times.

Taylor was my favorite kind of rock star: the best at what they do, but still humble & kind. Truly kind. Dave exudes this same demeanor, but Taylor was the quiet force behind the power of that band. I already miss him so much!

Seeing and hearing him talking about what Dave meant to him both saddened me and made my happy that he wasn't taking it for granted and knew to be thankful!

Takes a special type of character to drum in a band that has Dave Grohl. Taylor was that character

Taylor is just one of the few musicians that express the emotion in music anymore. Watch his face and how he gets into the groove. Flea from RHCP as well... They are the true breed in the music industry and his loss was felt by millions...
