    I audibly laughed out loud for the tattoo red flag one where he said logos are a red flag lmao. My brother has autism and LOVES getting tattoos. He's obsessed with brand names for appliances and has all of his favorite logos tattooed on him. Does he look like a billboard? Yes. But it definitely isn't a red flag. It makes him so happy and he shows them off to everyone, even if we've already seen them 50 times.

    I can't believe she actually thought the ring doorbell facing them the whole time was a _good_ thing (ie for her benefit, when it was actually more likely for his). My goodness, she has no self-preservation. Sure, she got lucky and he turned out to be legit (albeit a pricy SoB), but why TF did she think a ring camera was beneficial what good would that be to her if he murdered her?! 🤦

    I had an allergic reaction to ink for the first time in going tattooed for 12 years. This is a very reputable ink company and have been getting tattooed with this ink the whole time. I was pretty sure I just developed a random allergy to this specific green ink like I did with bananas at 19 and then kiwis, friggin' KIWIS, at 27... Anyways, it finally healed and is badly scarred. I showed it to my artist and he immediately identified what had happened. He said it was all his fault and he went too deep as he thought the green was running out of my skin. He said he'd fix it or cover it for free. He was very apologetic. I respect when an artist can admit their mistakes. It can happen so its best to be honest. I'll go back to him because all the others he's done healed great. I don't think I'll be getting anymore green tattoos... and green is my favorite color...had so many green tat ideas. 😅😭🥝💚🖤

    I’ve randomly become allergic to bananas and peanuts in the last few years too, the stomach pains are insane! And I love bananas. Avocados are starting to hurt my stomach too - it’s awful! I’m always worried about reacting to inks because I tend to have reaction to a lot of skincare type stuff, but I’ve mainly stuck to black tattoos - I only have tiny bits of colour on 4 wee bugs amongst a floral tattoo - I reckon I’ll stick to black as, it’s kinda more my style but I also feel safer with it, but you never know, I may fall in love with a colourful design at some point

That it was a lot of hard work on my part, and basically how proud he was of me for following through for the whole thing. It felt amazing to get praised like that, the studio I go to has such great vibes. 15 hours, five sessions, and far too much money than I'd like to admit... but it's done 😅❤

    I honestly wasn't planning on getting a butterfly tattoo. I wasn't a fan of them but my childhood dog passed away 2 years ago and I buried her with a little butterfly clip in her hair and 1-2 days later I went outside and saw a butterfly flying around right outside the back door (it was mid December and hadn't seen any butterflys in a while). I felt like that butterfly was her. So, one of my fave artists I like to go to had a flash of a few butterflys and there was one I really liked. I ended up getting it to represent my childhood dog. I have quite a bit of tattoos and that's the only one that has a deep meaning 😅 but I really love it 🥹

    Tattoo artists will never take responsibility for an infected tattoo. Don't even bother telling them cause they will instantly blame you and your aftercare or lack thereof

  • @nowandaround312

    @nowandaround312

    2 ай бұрын

    The thing is, if a tattoo artist is reputable and follows all the standard hygiene safety procedures then an infection most likely is the client's fault due to improper aftercare. When artists actually are at fault for causing preventable infections it's because they were irresponsible so they'll blame it on you even if they know they fucked up, because they have no integrity and don't care about their clients. Artists who care about their clients always follow the safety precautions. Sometimes an infection is no one's fault, in rare cases they can develop even if the tattoo artist and the client does everything correctly.

    I did have one tattoo in an apartment; the artists (partners) had travelled from Scotland to London for a guest spot. I did tap out at though and still haven’t got it finished. It was only a few months in to getting tattooed (couple of years ago). The guy ripping off second skin hurt my soul 😮 I could feel the pain 😳 That backpiece looked amazing 😻

This was before botanic tattoos became popular too, so all in all very unusual, so everyone wanted to know if it had a story and everything

    The taking the compliment for the tattoo, I always have a hand in the design of my tattoos so I happily take the compliment. My last one was for my Nana who had passed the day before (I had the booking for 2 months! My cheeky Nana. ) So I was very happy that the apprentice lingered at my station the longest, asking my artist about the details in awe, and even told other arts to check it out. She didn't know the story behind it so I was so glad that the other artists clearly loved it too cause my Nana deserves an amazing art piece.

    I feel that taking accountability is something that’s very rare these days. Everyone wants to blame someone else. 😡 I feel awful for that girl that got a nasty infection from that artist’s negligence. The artist should’ve bought the ink they know and used before or research the products before they buy them. If an artist causes the client harm, they should 💯 take accountability and fix it however they can. Even if it’s just a refund or medical bills. It will make you look better in the long run. And learn from your mistakes so they don’t happen again.

    I'm allergic to Cobalt Dichloride and Thimerosal, so because of the cobalt I can't get blue ink tattoos, and thimerosal is used as a preservative in a lot of tattoo inks. I didn't know I was allergic to these until a couple years ago when I underwent allergy testing for something completely different, but in doing so discovered the reason why several of my tattoos would start to burn and itch and be raised (almost like an embossed book cover) if I even scratched at it lightly without realizing -- even YEARS after they've healed, by the way. So I'm literally allergic to several of my tattoos lol. It's also a little annoying because I have to ask tattoo artists for the full ingredient list of their inks, because the quality of the ink doesn't determine whether or not it contains thimerosal 😅

And it’s a sweet memory for me because I was having a bad day, decided I wanted a tattoo but didn’t know what I wanted so I got a get what you get, and the artist who did it had just finished his apprenticeship a few days before and he was so excited to do his first get what you get tattoo! All the other artists kept coming over to check on him and see how he was doing and it was so precious and really turned my whole day around.
