Fun fact! Some Inuit women will embroider their tattoos onto their coats! I don't know how common it is, or if it's just women who do it, but its one of the coolest things

The tattoos over the jeans idea made me laugh. I wore a dress at school couple of weeks ago and my teacher was like: omg I had no ideas you had so many tattoos! Mind you, she has a full sleeve and everything 😂

I've thought about that but say on a shirt, if it's short sleeve the parts that are covered up are on the shirt so it's like they're still showing and they match with the rest of the sleeve lol

People are shocked when they find out I have just one tattoo! (I have 8) My dad was furious when I got my first one in college (I was 20 but living at home that summer saving money) and my most recent one is for him and his reactions have totally changed over the years. I got Love, Dad in his hand writing from the last Xmas card both he and my mom gave me (I got my moms too, she passed unexpectedly 7 days later and it’s been about 16 months) He said he really felt great knowing that I care so much about him to get a tattoo for him. I’m a daddy’s girl :) I’m now 41 and he actually lives with my husband and our teenage son. Multi generational homes like ours are everything to me. My mom was treated like our sons second mom versus a grandma as she was at everything of his, even more than me!! Sorry went off on a tangent!!!

The jeans thing reminded me of a hoodie i seen... it said, "there are really cool tattoos under here, but I'm cold." 😂😂😂

Played it on a piano. The song notated in the tattoo is not actually Get Low. I can't tell what it is but based on how it sounds I'd guess the song is some sort of old lullaby or calming song that was sung to her as a child. The tattoo does represent a melody likely sung by a singular woman.

@@iloveapiano6542 A lot of the rapping is mildly tuned, going between one or two "notes" which is common for the era/style along with standard melodies being sprinkled throughout the song. Someone could turn Get Low into a tattoo like that but the main chorus wouldn't work

Bro the last girl with the mantis tattoo came into the store i work in. When i say it was something incredible in person i mean it. The colors were VIVID and BEAUTIFUL i was literally obsessed and she was so kind!

The amount of times I've had customers in my customer service jobs start touching my tattoos without asking is insane. I only have six tattoos but people act like they're entitled to touch me just because I have tattoos. It feels like skin, babe. If it didn't feel like skin, I wouldn't go to that studio anymore.

Same here! I have a simple rose on my wrist, and some old guy grabbed my wrist and brought it up to his face to see my tattoo. Like, buddy, you can see it perfectly fine from where you're standing. Please don't ever touch me again.

It’s so wild to me to hear people talk about strangers touching their tattoos. That’s so creepy and inappropriate. I’ve never had this happen to me yet thank goodness. I’ve had strangers complement my tattoos but never touch them.

My ex roommates ex girlfriend did this to me, just walked right into my house and MOVED MY TANK TOP STRAP so that she could touch the hobbit tattoo I have on the back of my shoulder, it was wildly uncomfortable I had no idea what to do I just froze

It's so annoying! I have a fully blacked out arm and people touch me without my permission. I ask them to stop then especially if it's men😅😅

That couples tattoo is hilarious. The level of commitment you'd need for a couple tattoo is big and then boom! Inside Twilight joke. I feel special knowing this little joke between them, if that makes sense. Plus, the reenactment was top notch.

The 'broken' tattoo clip got me too. I was ready to sympathize because I had bad contact dermatitis after my second tattoo and now have a gap in the ink where it scabbed... Very sad.

My whole right arm sleeve is my pets (dogs and one cat) memorial! I just turned 60, and I just got this started and finished this last year (went in for one little tattoo originally! 😂). I love having my sweet dogs on me all the time, and I love getting to an age where I realize how bullshit it is to worry about what anyone thinks of me! It’s actually quite freeing to get old, you young whippersnappers should know-as far as being free in your mind goes… Love your content! ❤

From what I can see of the music tattoo, it’s not a song that she was singing, though I’m not sure exactly what melody it is. It’s definitely a funny joke, and one that you can tell someone if you don’t feel like explaining the story behind it. Thanks for always doing these Lauren! It always makes my day whenever you upload and helps inspire me with my art portfolio to someday be a tattoo artist ❤️

If your laser studio doesn't use a numbing cream - just leave, choose one that does. It's still going to hurt, but it's a touch more comfortable. I had fractional laser on my face, and I can't imagine doing it without any numbing cream.

I had laser removal done on a tattoo on my lower stomach (below belly button). No numbing cream. Thick tribal lines. I was actively ready to die from the pain. 😂

@@DumbTacoBeast yes, I think that's accurate. It very much feels like being straight up burned 😭. It's SO much worse than being tattooed. It really felt like if you could somehow condense 1000 needles into the size of a single ball point pen top and then jab it into someone a bunch of times. Also the healing process between sessions takes more like 6-8 weeks instead of the 2-4 weeks to heal most tattoos. I had 3 sessions and finally covered it with another tattoo. The whole process was rough AF lol

OMG! 😱 If for whatever reason I regret any of my tattoos I’d rather go for a blackout with a new design done over it. I’m pretty stoic when getting tattoos but I think I’d be such a wuss getting laser removal. 😅

My sleeve in progress is themed around nature vs conventional beauty, using native flowers and ornamental flowers as well as beloved vs hated insects and... when i tell you that mantis tattoo took my breath away!! Praying mantises can actually be pretty tiny, the other day I had one that jumped onto my hand that was a little bit smaller than an almond. It was adorable lol😊

If I owned a tattoo studio I’d love to offer things that would make the tattoo experience better. It can be very painful and if you offer even the smallest of comfort items I think it would enhance the experience.

Seriously. When I got my large forearm tattoo, I hugged a stuffed Baphomet she had and it was the best. When I got my last one, I eyed him in the corner and wished I grabbed him before she started lol

The shop I used to go to had the coooooolest lounge area. Mini fridges stocked with juice boxes, sodas, water, and seltzers, a full on snack bar, stress balls, flyers for the local humane society so clients can get a hit of dopamine looking at cats and dogs, encouraging wall art, eye masks, and ear plugs if the client was overwhelemed by the overhead lighting/shop music.

Titsoak is ICONIC

My artist usually has a 3 to 6 month waiting list but omg she is worth it great prices and amazingly beautiful pieces

Friend has one of those bite mark tattoos - she says for her that bitemark tattoo is an idea of a dom/sub dynamic of her relationship/lifestyle - kinda like wearing a collar, just not as overt one. Maybe that's the case there. No idea if thats something widely used or anything...

For me, spontaneous tattoos I may regret. It’s taken me 20 years to get 8. I spend a lot of time developing the designs (super simple but I reworked my animal tattoo for 2 years til I finally decided on it) the quickest turn around I had was 8 months and it was a memorial tattoo for my mom who passed unexpectedly

I watch these videos and think about all the tattoos i would like to get and then remember that my skin is evil, allergy prone, and highly reactive to everything but what would actually be expected. I just don't think it's worth the risk, but i absolutely love seeing other people's tattoos.

If you ever decide to get a tattoo, definitely try the healing cream/balm/butter/whatever before you get your tattoo. Like some weeks before on the mirroring side of the body. Like the other arm or whatever. My allergy prone atopical eczema skin is not always happy with the thibgs the artists recommend
