    Hello! Biochemist here. Epinephrine is another name for adrenaline, aka the stuff that triggers makes your heart to race when you watch a scary movie. It’s a stimulant as is the caffeine in iced coffee, so combining the two can overexcite your system and give heart palpitations

    9:30 people really prefer going on tiktok instead of a doctor nowerdays This tattoo is sooooo fucking infected, it looks like being close to a sepsis for real Also, your tattoo artist shouldn't give you an "diagnosis" they should just refer you to the hospital, maybe give you the list of inks used.

    fun fact: the stranger things girl was warned several times by her friends not to get the tattoo because it would be offensive, long before she started making videos about it. She said that anyone who was upset about it was dumb and that she didn't care, and went to get it done anyway. I have Jewish ancestry (even tho I’m not religious and stuff), but I’m not offended by this shit at all, and I ‘m quite sure my relatives and Jewish friends wouldn’t be too. First of all, most of younger Jewish people don’t have memories associated with that war, except for some stories they’ve heard from other people, so they can’t be “triggered” by related things like this one. Second of all, something is offensive when it’s done on purpose to offend someone, and this tattoo was OBVIOUSLY done to show their love for their favorite tv show. Why would any sane person think that it was made to make Jewish people feel bad? My Russian great-grandpa was repressed by Soviet government for being a “kulak” (term used by bolsheviks to describe rich peasants) and having a “royal” surname, he was deprived of his property, sent to jail, and then, years later, to the war, where he died. Do you think I’m offended by the hammer and sickle symbol now, or even by the flag of Angola or another similarly looking shit? Hell no! I swear, being offended by everything is an exclusively american thing. Have never seen a person outside of USA who was that obsessed with being a victim of everything.

    My younger sister had the worst infection from a tattoo I've ever seen. I mean, it was horrifying. But the difference is that she had her tattoo done in a reputable place, by a trained artist and just had really bad luck at picking up an infection somehow (the world exists). It didn't help that it was on her lower stomach which we cover almost all the time which helps bacteria grow. So as soon as something looked a little off she went to her study to see if it was just healing or something was wrong and he told her to go to the doctor immediately. It wasn't even to the point where it looked really bad yet, I think it was just in that "more red then should be and kind of peeling weird) They started treating her immediately but even with treatment the area started to look horrible. I mean, she showed us pictures again recently because it had been years and it was so bad I mentally blocked it out from years ago. But she really only has the tiniest scar now and the tattoo looks great overall because she treated it early. I have no doubt that it may have killed her if she didn't treat it early the way it looked. I'm not even exaggerating. I think that some of these kids don't have any idea what they are messing with

  • @BubbleBunnyy

    @BubbleBunnyy

    Жыл бұрын

    Shit some adults don’t even know what they’re messing with. Idk if I had a super mild infection or I a was allergic to the ink or my body just was hating my tattoo but my wrist tattoo swelled up and turned super red just a couple of hours after it was done, it was so swollen I had to sleep with my arm raised above my head a few days. Part of me thinks it’s just my body being crazy or being angry cause some parts he went in a bit too deep, I have skin issues anyways. Bodies are weird sometimes infections can literally happen if your body doesn’t like the ink the artist used. It’s kinda scary tbh, especially when you get allergic reactions years later after you’ve had your tattoo a long time.

    I was so lucky my artist made me stick on a test piece of second skin before my appointment to ensure it was safe for me to keep on for three days without reacting to it because I'm allergic to Elastoplast. Should be handled with care because it is not only potentially an allergen and irritant but it is being used on broken skin so it's even more vulnerable to an allergic reaction. So sorry you had a bad experience because I was fine in the end and it is truly a great product when used carefully xxxx

(Genuinely started crying while writing this.) TLDR: My cat has bald spots on his back from licking them raw with anxiety. I plan on getting the shape of his bald spot outlined with a fur texture on my back, and leaving it as bare skin just like his. It will be the centerpiece of my back's inkwork; this raw, untouched part of me at the core of everything else. So, my cat is old. He's 13. He also has pretty severe anxiety and has been super attached to me specifically for the entirety of both of our lives, considering that I'm only 18. We've literally grown up together. He's been with me through all kinds of abuse, being kidnapped twice, and now into me healing and learning to be an adult. I genuinely didn't think he'd live as long as he has and I'm having to face the reality that I don't know how I'm going to function without him because honestly, I've never had to. But I know he's getting old. He'll avoid going up and down the stairs, and he has to stop halfway through to rest. He sleeps even more and never wants to go outside. He's irritated by my mom's younger cat and he nearly never leaves my side. I've put his food bowl in my room and his litterboxes just outside so he doesn't have to travel far because it was obviously difficult for him to do so, but he always wanted to come back to my bed with my fluffy blanket and back to the place where I turn around every 30 minutes to cuddle with him. When I stay at my boyfriend's house overnight, he runs to me when I get home, and he'll sit and stare at me like he's asking where I've been, and then we'll immediately settle into our routine again. He's always had anxiety. Before COVID, my family went on a week-long vacation every year. I'm honestly so thankful we had the money to safely do that without impacting our finances and it's really helped me learn about other parts of the world, but I also missed my cat, and he missed me. When he's anxious, he has a habit of grooming himself excessively, a behavior we think is to keep his mind off of the stress he was under. Every time we would come back from vacation, he'd have an open wound on his back that we would treat with the help of vets, but we had no idea why he was licking like this for so long. When COVID hit is when we obviously stopped vacationing, or even leaving the house at all, and suddenly his sores and wounds disappeared, and he was grooming an average amount, much less than we had really ever seen him. His bald spots healed over but they never grew back hair and they never will. It makes him so unique and it feels like we're both learning how to heal and grow together, despite our scars. It's so interesting to see how he's come to accept it. For the longest time, he would get uncomfortable if I even moved my hand near it, despite it being fully healed. But over time, he's been okay with me getting my hand closer and now doesn't mind at all if I touch it, and I think he knows that despite it being a spot on him that is now vulnerable right on his back, that I'm not going to hurt him, even unintentionally. He still squirms if anyone else in my family tries to touch him there, and I do think it's because he doesn't trust them. I'm getting a fur texture tattoo on my back to outline a replica of his bald spots, not only to honor his uniqueness but also to honor his healing and coping as well as my own. It feels so fitting to have bare, natural skin in the center of this tattoo, in the center of my back. I want my back and most of my body to have many tattoos, but I think when everything comes to the center spot on my biggest canvas, I want it to be open and vulnerable just like he is. I'm genuinely so excited to get this tattoo, and I hope I get many more years with my best friend.

    7:30 The absolut hightlight for me is how you can hear the persons cat using the litter box as they're unwrapping the tattoo. As someone living with a cat, the digging in the litter and meowing is unmistakable.

    FYI epinephrine is a different word for adrenaline. So a hormone that makes you feel "alert" and ready for flight-or-fight response. It raises your heart beat and so does caffeine, so I understand why combining the two might give you heart palpitations. And yes, it is also used to treat severe allergic reactions (that's what "epi" in epipen stands for). :)

    I am LOVING The Last of Us, hubby played the game and still enjoys the show. We actually live in Alberta, it's fun seeing cities witin our Province on screen. Edmonton, Universityof Calgary, Pho Anh I'm Calgary, Evelyn's diner in High River (I didn't realize it is right behind the Diner used in the show Heartland, "Maggie's"- we visited the site this past summer so cool seeing notes written by fans on a bulletin board), among so many more.

    If it was infected I doubt it would go away on its own. Maybe your skin was overworked. I recently got some colourful leaves and most were fine but the biggest one felt raw for the longest time and it was red around the edges. Because it was just the one leaf I figured it couldn't be an infection. But I hope you're okay!

    I'm very sure Millie Bobby Brown who played Eleven actually got this tattooed as well, hence why a few people have got tribute tats. Accordingly she knew about the meaning, still got it and got a lot of backlash. What I do not get, is... how can you be old enough for a tattoo and not know about the meaning. I'm very sure we are all taught about the Holocaust and WW2 🤔 just confused 🤔

    I think I would get tattooed on a stage of my favorite concert. However, it would have to be in an area of the stage that was separate enough from cables, performers, etc. that i would feel safe. Although a big issue for me is that there's nowhere to look at the stencil in that lighting, and without access to a mirror, and it would have to be somewhere I could easily see it.

    Epinephrine is another name for adrenaline. Caffeine mimics adrenaline in the body, which is why having both at the same time would make you more likely to be jittery, have a racing heart and all the other un-fun side-effects that come with having too much caffeine or adrenaline(epinephrine) in your body.

    Epinephrine is essentially a steroid and can cause heart palpitations, and caffeine increases your heart rate so for some people it can give them the feeling of their heart racing, being shaky, anxious, the way someone sensitive to caffeine can experience the same, so I guess both together makes it pretty bad

    I'm healing a messed up tattoo at the moment. Been six weeks, had severe shingles and am still recovering. My whole leg was swollen, I couldn't sleep, couldn't eat, had multiple prescriptions of antibiotics, been to the doctor 5 times with it and was in the worst pain I ever had. The environment was clean, it was an apprentice from an artist I have multiple tattoos from and whom I trust fully but the apprentice went in way to deep and hard with a magnum 23 and tore trough my skin. I don't know if I'll ever get another tattoo ever again and I cry about that because I love tattoos and I love getting new ink done but this scared the living shit put of me.
