IMMORTAL IS MORE THAN A NAME! ABYSS Open my eyes in a daze How long has it been? Am I so out of place? Warmth I can no longer feel My mountain is gone, I'm surrounded by steel The strangest of structures arises ahead, seems to be held up by nothing Where have I gone, do I dream? How can the stars be all I can see? Dark embrace Has someone awakened me? Please show your face Cold and quiet space Out so far beyond stars and the sun, filling my heart up with wonder, unknown Now, to the edge of imagination, open my eyes to phenomenon, and hope Feverishly I explore Searching for someone, there has to be more I can't be the only one here My path always guides me, there's nothing to fear Then why do I feel so immensely alone, this can't be the end of my story Onward I go once again, fighting my way to my final breath Into the abyss Out so far beyond stars and the sun, filling my heart up with wonder, unknown Now, to the edge of imagination, open my eyes to phenomenon, and hope Summon the strength of millenniums past, forged by the fire and flame I am the weapon of empires vast, Immortal is more than a name Cry into the chasm ahead, into to the sky never ending, although Time will tell if I'm worthy of it, a future of final transcending, alone

Why is no one recommending Ten Thousand Against One by UTA. F***n epic. Gotta check out the lyric video. It won't disappoint!!

Faster Than Light is definitely my fav song from this album. Abyss and Soulbound, on this album, I thought were a little too formulaic. Great fun but predictable.

UTA are amazing, they have a live full concert from October 2023 in Toronto, it's worth a watch they are amazing live, lots of energy. Also if you are looking for a musical journey can I recommend Rush - Xanadu, (exit stage left video) do a reaction or listen to it on your own but it's a musical journey (12 min long) 3 guys producing massive sound and musically is amazing. Would love to see a reaction though

Second comment: About the bassist, nope, this song was made when Unleash the Archers still suffered "The Curse of the Missing Bassist," as until 2023, when Nick Miller came on as their bassist full time, Unleash the Archers could not keep a bassist to save their lives. 😅 But now, they have a full-time bassist who started out as their touring bassist. The upcoming album is the first one with Nick Miller on bass. Edit: I noticed you have reacted to Austrian Death Machine, so I have another recommendation: Arjen Lucassen's album Star-One, with the song Fate of Man, feat. Brittney Slayes on vocals, and Michael Romero (Symphony X) on guitar. Interestingly enough, Fate of Man was originally written to be sung by Bruce Dickinson of Iron Maiden. And Arjen Lucassen, who wrote and produced the album, chose Brittney Slayes for Fate of Man as he had seen her karaoke video of her singing Queensryche's song Queen of the Reich. Which, if you want something live, check out that video (the karaoke video). Fate of Man, by the way, is a song about the Terminator universe.

Yes the Abyss Album had no real bassist for U.T.A. the Bassist from the Apex album Nikko Whitworth left the band after the Apex tour. they had Benjamin Arscott as a session Bassist for the Abyss album recordings in 2018. Nick Miller became their live bassist for the tours in 2018 and joined the band as a full member in 2021

If you want a curve ball they did a live, acoustic version of their song Apex for a breakfast show on Canadian TV that's amazing. Would make for a cool double feature if you listen to that plus the actual track - they're totally different.
