The maestro makes it look easy. But that is a tough job !
Got lucky with that one. I would like to see some videos where something breaks and you have to tear the wall apart. Be cool to see that before and after.
I need to do a symmons model c at my moms place.
I had my doubts that one coming out, nice save👍
Where can I buy the No.8 reverse screw remover please?
Well, this video pretty much convinced me to get a plumber in to deal with my leaky valve. Thumbs up!
These seat kit replacements are so fascinating. I used to live in a place that had a bit broke off the seat and we were changing seals all of the time. Now I know why , and should have just called a plumber. I love your videos Steve and thanks for uploading.
I find it good practice to leave all the trim off until the water is turned on, especially if you are looking for a leak. Also wasn't there a thread cap gasket supplied with the new stem? I didn't see one on re assembly of the shower valve. Everytime you tighten anything with a tool and I get a workout holding my breath being afraid you will break it or strip the threads lol lol Thanks for the videos and keep up the good work.
Where can I buy one of those extractors.
Thanks for the video, was able to fix my Symmons today. Good man!
It’s amazing how stuck those parts can get.
Damn... Surprised nothing buckled under that stress....
Whatsup man . Question if we’re getting no cold water not much pressure either and I replaced the seeds and the spindle and still no cold water good pressure
Where can I get that no 8 tool ?
Even with the fancy BioLage body scrub, it ain't no Taj Majal !
Simmons new shower comercial shows Steve hanging off the pipe wrench giving it the max gundy treatment lol.I was waiting for the plane C..that one was tuff.

They claim to be "the ol' How ya doin" proof
Had to give er the full gundy mama Steve is a real workingman
Good ole' Steve Lav.
Lightweight and easy to operate. Very convenient.
Steve, I think your gundy is a lot more than my gundy. Good job.
Same one I have in my bathrooms Been in since the house was built in 91
Max gundy given, next level mama
Man you can fix Stuff in a heart Beat
Wow that one was tighter than two coats of paint!
Might have come out easier with the Symmons T35C seat removal tool. That tool doesnt expand it the way that ezy out does.
Any access panel within the end closet?
Nice job and video like always (Steven )
I love to rebuild faucets they are a lot of fun and to replace to lol 😂 ✌️
That tub was a nasty one Mr. Grinch...
Steve, that extractor tool really gets you out of tough spots!
Wow tight like a Tiger 🐅 Steve and tight like Mr Grinch 😛
I like to keep tension on the wrench/cheater pipe, while I tap on the cheater ... sort of like an impact wrench effect. BTW, that tub spout was installed pretty high.
"If anyone can, STEVE CAN" !!!
Should have sold them a new shower head.😊
One word zip xtractor
stupid question but what exactly do the seats do? i have a decent drip coming from the tub spout when the showers on but dont wanna risk anything
That one needed alot of gundy mama!
Hi Steve do you sell the welcome to the shit show badges?
Your loose as a goose lol 😂 ✌️
😃🛠️👍👍👍☕🇸🇮
Can you imagine being on the phone with Steve trying to explain your plumbing problems with all that noise in the background? Haha everytime I turn a video on it blows my damn ear drums out
Steve putting the chooch to the Symmons.
I know you explained this in a previously, I forgot. What are you checking when you shake that piece. The one where it sounds like a ball bouncing around. Almost like shaking a spray paint can.

I don't know but I'm guessing he is checking that whatever is in there isn't jammed or stuck somehow. I guess it would also be a quick check to make sure it isn't more than one piece. It might be a ball.

When the TA-10 valve assembly is shaken the hot/ cold balancing device needs to be free so it can work. When shaken, if it does not make a noise, it needs to be replaced.
what's the tool Steve whips out at 6:35? Most "seats" are just one part that you can remove with a seat wrench. This is interesting because it looks like two separate parts?

Nice Job Steve, that was a crusty one for sure, 👍👍
I would sure hope the original installer properly fastened the valve and pipes to the wall framing so you dont break a joint or create a leak in the wall
I never see Symmons mixing valves. Are they a New England thing? Nice work! The people up there where you are fortunate to have you to help them.

They sure are popular here at any rate. Grew up with one in an 80s house, Grandma had one that went in early 70s at the latest, got one in my apartment that was built in 2005 now.
Anyone know why symmons just decided to change there entire tool set for the seats? I had to get a whole new tool set to rebuild these. I thought I was loosing my mind when my old tool set no longer worked on the new seats.
"Welcome to The Shit Show" love it! lol
WD40 Mamma!
Could be C.F. also.
Hey steve, that part your changing at 17:00 do you think you can put one made in satin?
name of those tools other guy stole from me lol

Considering he changed all the wear parts, about as long as the original did.
Good for another fifty or so years.
I own the same hammer, small world...

It is true, except sometimes I can only get them to tighten and not loosen.
We know what you told him. It was on yesterday's video.
Real mechanic! Love seeing an old school plumber.
Proffeser Marvel, "The crystal ball has gone dark!" Steve: "Come on miss Molly There is no place like home!"
As long as its not the sewage letting loose, I call it a good day.
😎🤪😎🤪😎
Old houses here not any symmons...pheonix and pfister shit
Gee I wonder why it’s ok to say Guinea rig instead of n****r rig. LOL just poking fun. Nice work again Steve.
