tanner sowa I appreciate that. Yeah, it's been pretty frustrating. I usually get another few thousand views on IG too... but the subscriber count is just like 🤷🏻♂️

It might be that stupid algorithm.
The beginning with Miss Palmer was beautifully done. Would love to see more of that style.

Cody Burns Thanks so much… I'd love to do more of that style, but the viewership and time just doesn't really allow for it. 🤷🏻♂️ :/ I do have a few more videos on my channel in that style… If you go way back! 👌🏻✨
Other than getting paid on a Friday..... These videos are the next best thing.

"A little bit...artistic..."???? That was one award-winning caliber cocktail making example of an opening video!!!

Haha... thank you!
Great to hear a couple of fellow Costa Mesa dudes reminisce. I grew up there in the late 70s/early 80s when we had to drive up to Hollywood to see the good bands.
Damn, the chat at the end made me so nostalgic for living in OC in the early 90s. SxDx and Cadillac Tramps! 👍

Spike, one of my favorite episodes yet. Tiki and punk rock talk. 👍 🍹
Your guest seems like the coolest dude on earth without acting being cool.

Yes, he is.
‘You can taste you need an Uber home…’ 😂😂😂
Watching two cool dudes make drinks, reminisce and get increasingly shitfaced is the content I'm here for. Keep up the good work.

When it comes to juicing limes, I have found that "cutting the nubs off" gets you more juice!
DanO is cooler than the other side of the pillow! Great episode!
Best opening! Spike is such a talented artist and Ms Palmer is just awesome 👏

This channel needs to be bigger. At least for the Tiki Community
Ok, this is my new favorite channel....I can't stop binge watching while running tests at work! Cheers.
Laka Lono Rum Club in Omaha, Nebraska (!) makes ice cones for their Grog Factory.

Great episode! The opening video was outstanding. Hopefully we'll see more like it. I love the extended episode as it's great to hear so much tiki talk. I live in a place that has a serious dearth of anything even remotely exotic so Fridays have become a highlight of my week.

I really appreciate your sentiments. I wish I had the time to do this level of production every week, but the financially it just doesn't allow for that. I'll keep trying to make compelling co tent though! Thanks for watching!!
Great show Spike! Where was this recipe from? Tried this one versus the smugglers cove version. Very nice! Awesome tribute to your dad with the fish on your bar. The Kamehameha was stationed at Pearl when I was there too. Kam’s topside was outfitted with secret spook stuff for navy seal ops. Oogah oogah!

Michael Rodriguez wow, that's cool!! This recipe was from the Don the Beachcomber guide to Tropical Drinks (or whatever it's called). I believe that it's the same one in the Total Tiki app.
The production value and the editing of the first minute and a half is incredible (in addition to an otherwise great video)

Never hear of The Alcatraz Islanders before this. I can’t stop listening to them now. So good!
The BEST yet! Intro amazing. One of my favorite drinks. BTW your hat is great, tried to find one after meeting at Hukilau. Any hints? Thanks. Trader Bill in NC.
I was waiting to hear which was y'alls favorite short boarder. So many different styles and of course the freesurfer vs contest surfer would come into play. Great video by the way! (both styles!)

jcost0099 I've always loved Matt Archibald's style, but I've personally know Peter Townend for years too. His impact on short boarding is undeniable.
This was my second episode I've watched you do. I'm a solid fan as of now. Today I posted on Facebook a plea for the Mai Kai with photos. It's my favorite place for me to take my guests! Sir, keep up the good work.

Latitude 29 in New Orleans does the ice cone with their Navy Grog!
Loved the video! Definitely better to shake up those navy grogs individually though.
Loved this episode, man! Great bonus with all the car and music chatter at the end!!! What a coincidence watching this episode just a couple after the Silverado Showdown, too! GOOD STUFF!!!
Skull&Crown does the ice cone;)
what an intro woooo
Good morning. Have you made Don’s Colonial Grog? Do you have a preference? It seems the Colonial has more interesting ingredients IMO. Would you consider making this one and comparing if you have not already? Thanks for the consistently entertaining and informative work. You are appreciated!
Where can one get the reproduction Don The Beachcomber coasters???
Scott Parker has given me a lot of things over the years...but never a bottle of top shelf rum

Shouldn’t you make the two drinks separate. I’d imagine dilution is far less doing 2 in 1?

@@BreezewayCocktailHour I know lol. What they tend to do is make a snow cone layer in the edges of the drinking glass and the drink is then inside the snow shell. I prefer the cone shaped garnish, like you made though for sure !
Great shows and content! However, making the cocktail is where the rubber hits the road. I'm certain that after two years you've learned to stop making two cocktails in one tin. The liquid to ice ratio is too low thereby simply melting and diluting the drink rather than making it cold. And your shaking technique needs improvement. You'll never have adequate mixing and aeration being that light-handed. Cheers!
