Planters Punch - The perfect Summer sipper!

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Punch is the ultimate way to make and share cocktails for the masses and this take on a classic by the Smuggler's Cove team is epic.
Using the original formula they have created the perfect afternoon sipper that is still on the boozy side but perfectly balanced.
INGREDIENTS
3 oz / 90 ml aged Jamaican rum
1/4 oz / 7.5 ml allspice dram
1 oz / 30 ml lime juice
3/4 oz / 22.5 ml demerara syrup
2 dash of Angostura bitters

The Smuggler’s Cove Planters Punch always hits the spot! That quarter ounce of allspice dram is the key

Completely forgot i had a flash blender till i randomly found it this week cleaning up a cabinet. I think the timing of this is a sign to put it to use this weekend. 🍻😁

It’s a fairly unique liqueur that you can’t replace - but you can DIY.

@@StevetheBartender_is there any reason why you'd go with a whip shake rather than just a quick shake and dump with the full amount of crushed ice? That's how I usually make my mai tais. I'm guessing the idea is to have a longer shake for more aeration, while limiting dilution. Is there a noticeable difference in your opinion?

Maybe it is just me, but isnt 90ml of Rum a lot of alcohol for just one cocktail?

It’s a fair bit but can be somewhat common in tiki drinks..

It's not really far off a margarita though, which also packs 90ml at ~40% (assuming you're using something like cointreau or dry Curaçao). Although yeah,a classic margarita is surprisingly potent as well.

Some recipes contain grenadine but I couldn’t tell you about the original recipe. This one is from Smuggler’s Cove.
