Subway Japan: Triple Meat BMT Sandwich!

Ойын-сауық

The classic Subway BMT sandwich finally made its debut here. And since it's been quite a while since I visited Subway, I just had to chek it out.
Have you ever tried the BMT? Do you know what BMT stands for? ;)

    BMT's are my absolute favorite Subway! Italian bread, white cheese, pickles, black olives, cucumber, onions, mayo, oil, s and p. So many calories, which is why I don't get it very often. I just love it.

    I've never heard of either of those references for the BMT! Haha You learn something new every day. I couldn't tell you the last time I had Subway, but my go-to was always their turkey and cheese sub back in the day when they still added that piece of bread on top of the sandwich.

    In NJ we always got oil and vinegar on our BMTs plus mayo. I always got onions and peppers too. The big 3 in NJ was Capicola, Salami and Pepperoni but this was at the local sub shop, not Subway, but sometimes Blimpies.

    In Sweden we apparently have an Italian B.M.T. with salami, pepperoni, ham and customizable vegetables. But there's also what's called a "Mighty B.M.T" with pepperoni, salami, ham, pepper jack cheese, lettuce, tomato, cucumber, red onion and garlic dressing. I haven't tried either since I don't live anywhere close to a Subway (and there seems to be no info on the meaning of B.M.T. here).

    Great to see a Subway video, I used to work at one while beeing in the university, when they toll me what bmt means I did not understand why, but what you explained does make sense^^ great video as always !! Btw I can recommend trying a veggy patty with honey mustard and sweet onion sauce, atleast 6 Stripes of each sauce( they usually do 3 and only 1 sauce) with everything on it except the olives 👌

    We've had the Italian BMT in the US for many years--t's called Ultimate BMT now. Yup, it wasn't tripple portion of meat, for more meat it's definitely an additional charge. The optional salt & pepper, or oil & vinegar mix, is added from a squeeze bottle when the sandos are made. It's a good sandwich. Great vid😎👍

    Its interesting to see the variation in the meat itself! Like here in Canada, the salami is more a german style (darker, more smaller fat specs) whereas that looks more like a luncheon loaf or mortadella. You can even see the layer of fat on the ham which you would never get on deli ham here. Cool to see it making its way there!

  • @CriticalEatsJapan

    @CriticalEatsJapan

    Yeah, I think they refer to it as semi-dry sausage. I'm not sure if they use that ham for any other sandwich or if it's something special they got for this. But overall it's a good sandwich I would totally get again👍
