Thank you, Richie went a bit crazy editing this as we used a different camera and had some issues, but he's such a trooper and he made it so good! I am exactly the same - love a peek into the creative world of other artists, always fascinating to me!

Yes! I don't know if I had really tried to articulate that...but you are absolutely right! It is her calmness that makes me feel sort of safe, and like I can trust her to share in a way that inspires. She is so genuine.

Thank you, I've been a bit surprised at how it has all worked out. I think the timing was just right for us to get a puppy. We thought about it a lot before jumping in and it is much easier now than when we had our last puppy 12 years ago! Children are older; there's more time to devote to her and she's so easy to love bomb!!

Yaaas! I love your work and have spent hours with you over the years listening to you, trying to paint your style and just loving hanging with you. You inspired me. BUT, I stopped everything when I saw your Cavadoodle!!! I got my first dog at 6. Life hasn’t been the same since. Best thing I’ve done in maybe ever, ok not as great as learning to paint but my little Cheeky is my joy in life even though I have lots to be joyful about. It’s my cheeky that makes me laugh relish every bit of my time with her. ❤❤❤

Thanks for the lovely comment. I'm feeling good about the blue addition; I wanted to create a more complex colour palette. I will keep experimenting with it later this week. Love blues, pinks, and browns together.

The "weird" piece reminded me of Mathew Wong's art.

Welcome to your new family member; she is absolutely adorable! I've finally adapted to the dogs. They are pretty laid back now in their old age, but they want to go in and out and in and out, etc. However, getting adapted to the cats is a whole other story. My studio is in my home - the other side of the kitchen - and it's an open plan so there is no way to keep them out. The struggle is real having to put everything up and away every time I want to work. There are painted kitty paw prints all over the house. LOL. I love the vlog format!

You are spot on. Willow is obsessed with the cat, the cat is perplexed by the whole situation but handles it quite calmly and maturely. It's his turn, though, as when he was a kitten, he pestered our old dog, Cooper, to no end!! Karma. I think in the end Willow and Spencer will be friends, each day things get a bit better.

I too have a new puppy in my studio. New challenges eh! Yes Canadian. Question for you , looks kie you're working on paper and illustration board perhaps. I assume you mount on cradle panels. The other question is using oil pastels in your wor, how do you seal them. I LOVE oil pastels but always had to frame under glass. I hate framing with glass. Thoughts please. Love your channel, very inspiring. Wondering how I can have a wee house as a whole work site studio.

Hope puppy life is going well for you! I am working on paper and I often sell these pieces for people to frame. You can mount on boards; you would just want to use quite a few layers of fixative, especially for the oil pastel. The Sennelier oil pastel fixative is quite good and then you could also finish off with a spray varnish to protect against UV.
