Stress almost killed me. Corporate job, taking care of a parent with dementia was too much. I crashed and ended up in hospital. With almost no life left. A doctor told me that I had to make choices to survive and let go of responsibilities. I left my job, and placed my mother in a long term facility. Took me a full year to recover and feel human again. Got rid of toxic people , bad habits and technology. I woke up, thanks to that doctor but my will to live was strong. I now understand the importance of having a vision for my future. I meditate, do yoga and I swim. I bless each day as if it was my last. To those who struggle, become fearless. Trust yourself, not others. Become your best friend and treat yourself like such. Bless you all.

Heidi, thanks SO MUCH for sharing your story. INSPIRING! I feel like I'm currently on the edge, I can feel it in my nervous system. I may have to make some very TOUGH choices soon to save my life...and eventually build the life that I (emphasis on "I") want. Feeling very tender now. Thanks again, Heidi.

Two ways that seem to help me combat stress are getting the right amount of sleep and always having something to look forward to. Even if it's something little like a favorite TV show, taking a bath, eating something yummy, etc. These small pleasures give me something to focus on and we all deserve a little reward now and then.

I destroyed my overall health due to stress, by living in constant fear of diseases and fear of what future will bring. So, what dr Joe is saying is 100% true. It is very easy to destroy yourself, it is hundred times harder to put yourself back. If you can... please, make everything possible to avoid stress (by therapy, a hobby, find another job or partner, better single than in a bad relationship, say goodbye to toxic friendships, practice yoga and meditation, sing, dance, cook, travel etc). Do whatever it takes not to live based on stress hormones cause, from my experience, I am telling you: that is not life. It is like hell repeating itself every single day. And, in the end, it wasnt worth it. Your mental health is the most important aspect, having it at its best condition helps you to conquer the world! Otherwise, life is just a constant struggle. And, when we are not at ease we create dis-ease.

@@loquacious_lisa Lisa, I understand you so badly, literally all of my life I have been like this. But, the fear of dying without living my life to the fullest is much bigger than ANYTHING right now. Please dont feed the mibd with bad scenarios and bad thoughts. I made a commitment to myself: I will not heal through pain, but through pleasure. All life's (healthy) pleasures. Also, when we are in fear we are completly disconnected to our inner Power, our inner Source.the God within us. We were lied that God is ouside. That is your pure heart energy. Ask yourself, when you were age 3-10, what were your biggest dreams, joys, what your heart desired then and you will find the path. Wishing you ALL THE BEST!

Forgiveness is not something you can just teach yourself. When people have betrayed you and ruined your life and you are now disabled and in constant pain because of the stress and abuse they inflicted, you have a constant reminder of why you are sick and who caused it. Evil is real and for some reason God lets them get away with it and they just take take and take and on top of that they get rewarded

It was very hard and a lot of stress arrived into my daily routine. Wake up very early with a big cup of strong coffe and during the day hard work as long as arrived home late! It lasted 3..4 month and financially it was successful but i paid for it. I got a serious desease which almost killed me! Shortly after i had to make a decesion ..die or change! I have chaged my life! I changed country,i changed diet,i changed mind,i changed routine! My life started get back on track again ! My phisical condition so well and mentally also perfect. I didnt solve all of my problems yet but i got my life back. 😊😊😊

@@nancyayers6355 I totally understand how M Green feel but sometimes you can't do anything about it cause they're your family. Like your mom someone you love , respect & sacrifice yourself but they turned out to be the worst. They think they have birth to you & they own you. You have to do everything they want or you get beat up, severely punishment until you listen. Physically abuse, mentally abused, emotionally abused & you have to give them most of your earned money cause they gave birth to you, they're your mom, because it's your culture/ tradition. You have to do all that & plus because you're a girl in the family you have no rights. Yet after many years of being abused but they brainwashed you that's normal & it's your duties to take care of them when you're old enough. You did everything to please them even with all the abusive & invasive because you want to be a good child until you have so many nightmares about being killed by them; then you try to distance yourself from your mom. She got even more angry and accused you to betray the family & bring shame to family. You feel sad & shame but she tried to have other siblings turned on you, if they dont listen they're bad kids too. Finally you break down & dont care anymore. At the age of 44 you had accomplished so much & you realized that's not how the mothers treats their daughters. You bear all the pain & suffering that she caused you but you're going burst into tears & break down any moments if she hurts you again. Yes, she did again and that was her last time/ chance to hurt you because you cut her out of your life, no more money for her, no more getting all these kinds of abuses ( you feel sad & guilty but you need to be strong, hold your tears. Now after 5 months you completely avoiding all contacts with her, she's trying to sweet talk and manipulate you to be her good kid. You're still traumatized & horrified of your childhood until 44, do you still want to continue to be connected with your mom even now she promotes not to physically beat you & verbally abuse you?? Have anyone have a mother like that? What should you do. You're successful , well established, marrried to a great man who save you & have 2 teenage girls with. You're a mom to 2 lovely daughters whom you love dearly, more than your own self which makes you Feel more sad cause you wonder how could your mom treat you that way. What should you do? You dont want to ever connect with your mom again but you worried that you hurt her feelings, at the same time you still traumatize from how she treats you. 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻sometimes i wish i was adopted/ born in another family. This is absolutely true. I used to love life. I was so active. I then lost my girlfriend, my Father and Grandma all in a short space of time. I tried to hide how I felt inside but I wasn't fooling anybody, especially myself. And weeks and weeks of constant stress and anxiety led to me being diagnosed with Functional Dyspepsia. Your brain and your gut are heavily linked. I should imagine many people that have been tagged with IBS by their Doctor have had or have a lot of stress in their lives and constant negative thoughts and feelings. Your mind is a powerful tool and it can absolutely cause physical symptoms over time. It can also help you to heal if you re-train it.

Hope this helps someone. I got into guided meditation last May. It's made a huge difference, but I still struggle with stuff. I've tried some body scan meditations and they were good but I often got bored trying to do them. About a couple weeks ago I was doing some silent meditation and for whatever reason I just started paying attn to my body. Next thing I know I'm gently speaking out loud sending healing light and energy to each part of my body, to all my muscles and joints, bones and arteries, kidneys, liver, etc. I started with my toes and ended with my brain and paid special attn to my heart, thanks to what I've learned listening to Gregg Breden. Afterwards I felt great. It's amazing when you not only relax but feel the calm move through you and heal you. It reminded me of the verse in the bible be still and know that I am God. The stillness is where the peace and love is. It's where we heal. Hope this helps someone. I'm still struggling, but I'm getting better.

I really appreciate the video camera which shows us flashes of beautiful scenes in nature and ordinary people in a deep reflective mindset. It’s like a subliminal tape recorder for us to subconsciously capture those tranquil moments with our insight. Because whenever we feel stress, I believe it’s important to remember that happiness can be defined as a collection of golden moments of joy. When, for a short while we feel a joyful connection to nature or to a person. And the more joyful moments we capture and embrace... the happier we become.

11:46 - 12:30 is the most significant and helpful part of this whole thing i think. This guy was very interesting. But if you struggle with anxiety, in a real situation or just thinking about an interaction, your body creates anxiety and the mind picks up on that feeling and runs away with it, so then your thoughts are making up all kinds of crazy scenarios that aren't going to actually happen, but you're sure they are because your body is feeling the anxious feeling. ---- If you can imagine that situation that's making you feel anxious; maybe it's work, maybe social or romantic, and imagine it all going smoothly, and imagine different good scenarios happening, imagine smiling, laughing, a difficult person not bothering you at all, everyone liking you, an interview going well, etc. and any time your mind goes negative, you stop it and just refuse to engage in that type of thought scenario, your anxiety about the situation will decrease, and you'll have more control over your mind rather than your body (brain hard-wiring or whatnot if you have ADHD, GAD, etc.) having that control over your mind. I realized this works for myself, and at times i've missed great opportunities in life because i let my mind generate all kinds of possible negative outcomes, which at the time i didn't realize was simply anxiety controlling my thoughts and thus, my actions. If i'd imagined possible good outcomes to situations beforehand, then i would have been able to go into work, social, or romantic situations with a more positive and confidant mindset, than not at all, because my undiagosed anxiety was wreaking havoc in my mind. Breathing and meditation will also help, but imagining the situation in only a positive outcome, greatly helps as well.

Hmm positive thinking doesn't necessarily work for alot of people?! Good that it works for you.. What I've begun to do is self doubt, when something happens that causes me anxiety and I go into a "controlled" state of thinking, merely having a state of healthy self doubt - I wonder what there is to learn here, can open up the mind and change it from a rigid fight or flight mindset into more of an open mindset. You don't need to have a solution, just merely ask the question (if you look for a solution you'll likely ruminate). This is the theory behind RO DBT. It's supposed to help for people that have an over controlled perspective.

KuroNeko true what you’re saying but sometimes the situations your mind creates can actually happen and when I think about that kind of situation and how helpless I am at that moment the anxiety kicks in. Can’t help how I feel even with positive thinking just doesn’t work.

Yup.... working on positive thinking every day, affirmations, thankfulness. It's so true, I wake up with past negative thoughts often and fussing and replaying them in my mind. It's like automatic. I just move them out and just stop thinking of that experience, thing or person that's making me think negative. To add, I'm evern creating sad or bad thoughts that are made up in my mind, causing me to tear up... I must stop! Change the outcome into being good or positive, happy, not bad. God bless! :)

Eckingtonwashdc ...amazing you do recognize your complete ability 'to create' a negative reality within a sad or negative imagining... realize how close you are to doing the exact opposite and 'creating' a positive reality! Dr joe dispenza alludes to this way of getting out of negative ways of thinking to have a different life but he may have got the general ideas from a Neville Goddard on YT (or you can read his stuff too) If you are a Christian you can still ascribe to the methods as they are clearly stated in the bible and tho mr. Goddard teaches biblical allegory - it doesn't truly matter, (once you have heard or read some of his teachings you will be able to understand it symbolically and traditionally , for the most part)the process of manifesting our own reality here on this prison planet, is one of His gifts to all of us to ' help cushion the blows of life' and to help send us toward the direction of eternal life with Him. The ones that control our perception of this world have hidden the whole of Jesus ' words to keep us in the dark about so much. Secular or sick of 'religion', if you are ready to hear and/ read the bible in a slightly different but more powerful way, it may now resonate to listen to the teachings.

I know it's because I have too much on my mind. I try and forget what happened on that day, but the same happens tomorrow. I hate knowing the fact that I know what I'll be doing in a year, a month, I hate knowing what tomorrow will bring... Same thing over and over again. What is my purpose?

Diego Gaspar the key ist to live in the present moment dont live in the past and don’t think what’s gonna happen in the future..i know easier sad than done..but trust me that’s the whole point of it auctaly, every time you get a bad thought just ask yourself „does this have any good for me“ thar way you can trick your brain into coming back into reality, do this everyday its not always gonna work but be persistent and trust me change will come, all good to you man(sry for the bad english 😂) ✌️
