That's the beauty of, the image in your mind was yourself with your wild friends being as epic as one could imagine to be. It wrote a story that all could share but exist inside of different novels of one's life and yet exist in the same space without fucking the time space continuum. Wild Stallions!!!

Thomas was also in a BBC2 Arena documentary in the late 80’s. It was showcasing the NWOHM and they had a camera crew in the old Red Cow pub in Hammersmith and this lad was playing his dad’s guitar, believe me he was good and he got a standing ovation from a pub full of greasy rockers.

Some fun facts.. 1. the kid is Thomas McRocklin. A guitar virtuoso, that had his first "big" gig opening for Ozzy in England at the age of 8. Vai then brought him in to do this video and then went on to form the band Bad 4 Good w/ Brooks Wackerman as his drummer (he is now the drummer for Avenged Sevenfold), the album was produced by Vai. Thomas quit playing for 20 years, but recently started up again and has released 3 cds in the past couple years and is touring w/ Dragonforce as an opener in the UK this fall, he also is very active on instagram and fb w/ fans, and has lots of yt videos). 2. That swirl guitar from the Passion and Warfare album cover, was gifted to Thomas McRocklin who still owns it and has some recent YT video's talking about it, showing it and doing some demo's w/ it. 3rd. The live "shows" were recorded from when Vai toured w/ Whitesnake on the Slip of the Tongue tour. :)

My son grabbed his guitar hero guitar, threw it on with the guitar strap, and danced around, making believe he was playing like you, Steve. I have a few seconds video clip of it from my old iPhone which I am still searching for. He is 20 now, and still remembers that particular memory AND the song! He was THISCLOSE to taking guitar lessons in middle school, when he decided it wasn't for him - he is autistic and has dexterity issues. He loved playing but got easily frustrated. I was so bummed because his school general music teacher said he was really good with the ear training.

I remember when this video came out and I loved it then I think I love even more now. I loved the movie Crossroads. Best movie ever. Stevie does not just play the guitar he talks to you thru it. Best player ever ,a true wizard, a true star.
