State Closing Argument in GA v. Hannah Payne | Car Crash Vigilante Trial

"[Hannah Payne] should have minded her own business." Assistant D.A. Nigel Hunter delivers the State's closing argument saying that chasing Kenneth Herring and shooting him went against all common sense. There is no reason he shouldn't be alive today, she said.

I hope they convict on all charges, but think they might pull back on the most serious one - malice murder. Imo, this is one of the more obvious crimes of this nature that we've seen. Payne needs decades in prison.

That man's death and the young ladies conviction is a direct result of the insane gun laws in Georgia. So many people in that state now feel they have the right to run around playing wild Bill Hickok and Wyatt Earp. That's what you get for electing inbred hicks for governor.

@@jrx2662 LMAO!!! Yes we clearly do KNOW what occurred at Kenneth Herrings truck. Hannah Payne approached his vehicle clearly AFTER blocking him with a loaded firearm, hysterically demanding that he return to the scene of the accident. However, I certainly suppose the actual “testimony” of those who WITNESSED this altercation, or official FORENSIC reports presented at trial that there was absolutely NO finger prints belonging to Mr. Herring found on the weapon used by Hannah Payne or, the actual toxicology report clearly confirming there were NO drugs or alcohol in his system prior to this “supposed” struggle YOU seem rather FIXATED on. Moreover, given the total gravity of this case, what “else” is there to KNOW???

It's not only minding her own business BUT disregarding the instructions from 911 dispatchers. I'm sure dispatchers are trained by materials that are based OFF EXPERIENCE and LAWS. For her to proceed anyway without complying just proves her level of INTENT. She was adamant that she was going to get him no matter what, so no "fear for her life". Even her ability to drive RECKLESSLY demonstrates that she cared little for anyone's life, while trying to stop the deceased. Most likely, her actions were influenced by the fact that she was "carrying".

Most closing arguments are 2-3 hours long, sometimes going into the next day. She only took 33 minutes, wow! This is the most methodical and eeffective closing argument ive heard from a prosecutor. I give this a solid 9. Only point i take away is her not putting the jurors in the victim's shoes to add that empathetic viewpoint. But based on evidence, she did her thing, man.
