Sportboat Roundup | May 30, 2024

On this week's Sportboat Roundup, host Tonie Bangos covers the local bluefin fishing which has been gradually picking up. The grade of fish moving into these zones are large, and its important to come prepared for 80-150lb fish. During the day, the sinker rig in 60lb has been the hot ticket, with most bites either coming on this rig or a smaller knife jig sent down the the proper depth. The flyline bite has been great with great quality bonito with some yellowtail starting to show as well.

Great report. Could you do update on water temperature and how it’s playing into the bite?
