This game really got Street Fighter charge partitioning lmaooo

This video is quite old but it should be known that there's also another way to charge your weapons, it's called the invisible charging and all you have to do is click shield and immediately hold click attack, then let go of shield after, then spam the shield the moment you know you've hold the attack long enough, this will perform the charge animation, this is better than shield charging since it allows you to move normally and chain a charge without holding shield for a long period of time.

Amazing guide ! Was looking for something just like this !! I'm going to send this to all my friends who I just brought in to spiral Knights !! (Quick question about weapon switching though, do you use the scroll wheel for it , or do you use the next weapon/previous weapon buttons ? I'm asking because I am mainly a sword player, and when i originally left the game weapon switching wasn't a thing so i never practiced or learnt it 😅, and I'm trying to do it for my guns now but just can't get it quite right, advice on the optimal way to do it will be appreciated !!)

There is a small delay on scroll wheel switching, so you may want to use next & prev. Though this is coming from someone who cant switch yet

I don't know if you're still reading this 3 years after making this video, so here goes nothing For some reason I cannot get the weapon switching down. For some reason the equip animation of one weapon has to play out fully before I can switch back to the other. This only happens with scrollwheel though. Weapon switching with other buttons has no 'cooldown', but it's a lot less comfortable. Any idea how I get rid of that delay? The mouse shouldn't be the problem, as in other games (or literally just scrolling through a browser page) there is no delay. EDIT: nevermind, found the answer in one of the other comments. Seems like next and prev give a delay, while actual weapon binds do not Also, thank you for making such great content. So many years later, some of us are still using it.

yeah theres 200 ms (iirc) on wheel switching and none on hotkey switching. There have been mods created to remove the delay on scroll wheel switching but you end up overshooting your targeted weapon by a mile. The lowest it seems playable is 150ms (again, iirc). If you wanna try out the mod that reduces the delay you could ask around on the arcade discord and I'm sure someone could help you out.

I use WASD for movement, left click for shield, scroll wheel for prev/next weapon, and right click for attack.

Sadly, you need to buy it from a player who's selling it. They don't come cheap either atm, prices range between 250kce and 350kce.

To weapon switch easily, you just have to find a button scheme that works well for yourself. Generally speaking, you don't want space bar to work as a way to swap between weapons, but in stead use hotkeys or a scroll wheel. The main idea is that you find a control scheme that feels comfortable to use, so I'd suggest experimenting a bit. Once you get used to switching, it'll become second nature and you'll be able to focus fully on aiming. If you're looking to swap with four weapons at a time, the idea is generally the same, but instead of returning to weapon A, you would continue on to weapon C and then D.
