It was always my belief that the symbiote just made you say what you were thinking deep, deep down. You could see it with MJ and Scream. At the end of the day, the symbiote is an allegory for drug use. " It makes me better", " It feels good ", the fact in some stories, Peter gets the symbiote at his lowest point in his life. It was an eye opener when I grew up and realized this.

I can definitely tell that most of Peter's words aren't just Venom, it's him, especially the all I wanted was to save everyone line and the now you think I'M the problem also you can hear in Peter's voice that he's breaking down mentally and fighting back the urge to cry, these are Peter's insecurities and the symbiote was fueling theirr fire like a toxic relationship to keep them together Peter has always tried to help everyone out to the point he puts himself last and Miles is trying to show him that people do care about him and that the symbiote isn't the way to deal with these problems At least that's what I got out of it

The symbiote basically thought it new what he wanted which was power to do things he couldn’t and to stop anyone that it thought he hurt or mess that up. Since basically nobody understood or took into account that it was alive as most of their dailogue it wasn’t directed at the alien it was directed at its host instead which maybe led to venom doing most of the things it did because it was treated in a way that just made it seem like a suit and not an alien life on a foreign planet it didn’t understand. It would have been interesting to see people interact with the symbiote like trying to talk to it like eddie in the venom movies as maybe that is what caused most of its actions, not once did anyone ever say why is the suit doing this or ever questioned its motive even when it was obviously alive even with Harry he treated it as a living suit and not like an actual person until it was too late, even when it talked through harry and Peter saying “we” they still focused on the host instead of the cause for the actions. So in short I wonder how things would have went if it was interacted with like venom from the movie it might if even ended up like that venom in the end as it’s understanding of human nature was through misinterpretation and good intentions for the host and not anything of malice

It's very cool and interesting, but doesn't it just repeat Peter's arc from the first game? Where he realises that even though people don't have his powers that doesn't mean they can't help him. Because this is how he truly feels, the Symbiote is pretty much giving him an outlet for that. So despite going through that arc in the first game, he still believes HE'S the hero? Good game, though.

The fact Peter says "Anymore" means he'd already spent a long time wandering if maybe he *is* the problem, and Venom exploits that fear but then comforts him saying he can make him better

I damn near shed a tear to this fight bro. The emotions, gameplay, music, and struggle. this was just beautiful bro. really hits home with the message to never give up on the things you love. Nor give up on yourself.

Miles: This time, you gotta save yourself! Now you know Peter had to have gotten PTSD after those words. 😢

The emotion behind this fight gave me chills 🤲🏾

Miles is a really a true friend. He’s stuck by Peter, even when he was at his lowest, he never left Peter’s side. Just goes to show how empathetic and caring Miles is.

Exactly I almost fell for it myself, but luckily I saw enough comments that showed me what's the true purpose of the fight. In my opinion peter still takes it strength wise but that doesn't even matter at this scenario. Here miles was fighting to save peter, not defeating him. It's sad how the fandom turned an emotional battle to another power scaling debate😞

The reasons Miles won: 1. Peter not in his right state of mind 2: Miles took advantage of Venoms weakness to sound. 3. Miles electricity kept Venom/Pete at a distance 4. I felt a lot of emotions of the line of " I was just trying to save everyone, MJ, May, the city thinks I'm the problem, You think I'm the problem?! I'm the solution!" Because I deal with this too when it comes to trying to be there and save everyone. Feeling like you aren't there when they need you and you won't dare to comfort them is one of the worst things ever. He feels so alone and abandoned He feels so alone and abandoned That he uses the symbiote to just protect people and feel good about himself and feel like the hero but the symbiote is consuming him and making him more depressed and angry and sad. I can tell that he was trying to hold back his tears and just was mentally and emotionally breaking down of anger, sadness, regret, guilt and shame, and with the symbiote it doesn't help at all. And I love how miles is here to help him. He isn't trying to steal the spotlight and try to become a better hero than he is And at the end I wouldn't say that miles won This wasn't a fight to see who can defeat the other this was a fight between a Peter who needs to get the symbiote off him and he even stopped ringing the bell knowing that Peter is more stronger than he thanks and he was able to remove off the symbiote, Showing that he's not alone and He doesn't need symbiote to make him feel like hes strong and hes a hero and feel confident and maybe even self-centered at moments. It's about being here and doing the right thing and being good. Spider-Man it's just a superhero title. But the person behind the mask is really the person with the emotions and the person has feelings too. And for Peter that's no exception. And miles says it best he thought that the suit and the powers would save everyone but it doesn't work like that at all. Myles wants Peter to know that a hero isn't invincible when it comes to emotions that they're here to talk and to just be there. To not feel like you're just a big screw up. To actually feel human instead of a superhero. And I really do like the symbiote to represent a drug That Peter is using to make him feel good to make him feel good to make him feel good to make him feel stronger but when that drug Changes his mind and emotions and changes the way he acts and thinks and feels he becomes more Violent and more attached to the suit since he like he said he can be everyone's favorites and best Spider-Man so you can protect everyone at the cost of himself and his relationship with others. And I want you to know if you're reading this that if you're going through something like Peter there is a light at the end of the tunnel. You got this you can break through This addiction of things like drugs or alcohol and know that you're way more nicer and more kinder than you think. I have an entire group of friends that are all suffering from mental problems. Anxiety, bipolar disorder, depression etc, and it’s caused a rift among the group. I usually end up being the one that they all vent to whenever they have an issue. At first I was completely OK with it, but now I feel like I’m constantly trying to hold the group together. To the point where I’m basically unable to talk about my own problems with them, because I’m worried it will cause more damage. It definitely sucks.

I wish they would‘ve kept the Insomniac Spider-Man Suit with the Venom Bottle on his back. I really enjoyed that „design“ because the colorblocking between the red-blue from Pete’s suit and the black green from that oscorp bottle with venom in it just looks so good.

Take notes, Marvel Studios. This is what needs to happen in the Tom Holland Spider-Man films when he bonds with the Venom symbiote. What I would love to see is after all the devastating destruction Symbiote Suit Spider-Man unleashes on Damage Control and the Daily Bugle, he would save Agent Cleary and Jameson for last as he beats both of them to a bloody pulp, only until the last second realizes what he’s doing is wrong and he leaves them both bruised, broken, and bleeding as he decides to remove the symbiote suit.

@@howdoichangemyusername9802 Bruce doesn't have a kryptonite or anything similar though, Miles was repeatedly hitting Peter with THE symbiote suit's kryptonite, constantly, a weakness which literally immobilized him and sent him into shock from the pain that'd be like saying bruce could still beat jason in a fight if jason successfully injected him with nerve toxin beforehand and kept electrocuting him 100% though if miles didnt have the bell and peter wasnt holding back he would have gotten whalloped

If peter beat miles people would be like yeah that makes sense more experience+black suit yep ok sure. But when miles beat Pete they gotta think of everything in the world to justify his loss. Pete got beat and regardless of if he had it or not he woulda lost peter couldn't even beat venom with anti venom. Then venom grew wings and started throwing laser at miles along with huge chunks of rocks + hes suped up off the space rock + he has Everything his original moveset had. Yeah Pete was just getting Bodied. Also exhaustion my ass he woke up from a nap and said "that was the best sleep I've ever had" after tearing those hunters up. Miles just got that raw power, Pete couldn't compete

As awesome as this fight was, there should’ve been a moment where Peter got the upper hand and was about to kill Miles, but Peter starts fighting back against the suit long enough for Miles to break free

I enjoyed this game tremendously. Just had fun with this fight and understanding it from a story point. But sadly, as I should expect by now, every fanbase is full of cringy, edgy morons who have to ruin everything by being negative, hateful monsters with extreme biases. Like everything sets motherfuckers off. Only a truly feeble brained individual thinks that this fight was to demonstrate who is stronger. It was about trying to pull Peter out of his darkness. The whole game is a parallel journey out of the darkness for the spidermen, really for everybody playing a larger role. To show Peter that even he needs saving sometimes, even as Spiderman. Something he didn't believe would matter because he was supposed to save people, not the other way around. Miles had the same revelation, believing that he was to protect his people, not the other way around, but was shown even his friends and family can save him without being a Spiderman. But no, lets dumb it down to caveman thought. 'Miles is beter than Peter, he was tired and still beat him' or 'No, Peter was nerfed and Miles won because of plot'. Miles returned the support. That Peter has given him since Jefferson died and pulled him quite literally out of the darkness. If you have an attention span greater than that of a squirrel and read this far, thank you, and if this applies to you... get your shit together and stop being a negative loudmouth and learn to discuss with an open mind. Have your opinions, but dont be a closed-minded fool. A discussion amongst other fans could give you some knowledge. Fact is, Miles or Peter being the better Spiderman or stronger Spiderman will be dependent on whos writing the story, simple as that. This infighting against each other is pointlessly ignorant.

Might I say you actually saved me from almost becoming one of those "cavemen"😂 both spidermen needed a pep up talk to overcome their anger and darkness (maybe Pete needed a bit more since he's in an emotionally unstable place in the game) but they still went through the same arc. And as for the fight- it can't be viewed as a definitive scenario of who is stronger because that wasn't his purpose (plus how miles needed to use both bell and electricity to even the odds)

I know everyone talks about the suit, but can we talk about Miles in this scenario? In the space of 24 hours, he: Beat the crap out of dozens of hunters before being knocked out by a dirty trick Went toe to toe with Mr Negative, both physically and mentally, and won Fought against Kraven and lived to tell the tale AND Went blow for blow with an almost Venomized Peter, bringing him back from the brink. And yet the guy was ready for more. He never gave up, even at the absolute worst. Screw anyone that thinks Miles isn’t worthy of the Spider-Man name. His dad would be proud.

All of the boss battles were a pain in the ass for me

People are missing the entire point of this fight. Its not Miles vs. Peter, its Miles and Peter vs. Venom, a severely nerfed Venom because Peter is fighting the suit, even if he doesnt show it constantly. In the first intermission of the fight you can see Peter is trying to resist but can't fully. Miles only beats this version of Peter because he's not fully bonded with Venom and the bell. Without the bell, that suit doesnt come off and Miles may be screwed because the longer Peter has the suit the more bonded they become. And to further the point, Miles is meant to end up stronger tham Peter. Thats the entire point of a Student-Mentor relationship, the Student should surpass the mentor. If not, the mentor has failed. Anti-Venom Peter is his peak, he has all the benefits of a perfect bond with Venom with none of the drawbacks, even sound. That Peter is leagues beyond Miles BUT Miles will surpass that because thats the entire point of their relationship. Also, yes Miles beat the perfect Venom but that was Venom bonded to a regular human, not a Spider-Man. Venom with a Spider-Man base would be far far stronger than the Harry-Venom was. But if you need ANY MORE proof that Miles isn't stronger than Peter right now, the suit never tried to leave Peter for Miles like it did for Harry to Peter. Yes, it returned to Harry but only after Peter rejected it and it got information to mimic from him. But it never tried to jump to Miles because it didnt see him as a superior host, like it did for Peter.

Legit my fav fight of this game venoms boss fight came second but this right here is a powerful fight the soundtrack and the dialogue the way they showed how addicted he is to the symbiote is awesome and i love how the symbiote showed peters other side the one without the mask letting out his fears, frustrations, and anger out as miles said he really thought the suit would solve it all

Miles literally got done fighting through hordes of Hunters and had a gladiator-style fight. And the symbiote constantly recovers Peter so that he's healed and not fatigued. So there's really no excuse here. Miles won.

“well rested in a cell” no bro he was in a cell after recovering from getting the shit kicked out of him by kraven and his goons after helping li escape. it’s basically canon that miles is the physically superior spider-man while peter is the more technologically gifted and experienced. in time, this version of miles will eventually catch up to peter on both those fronts as well.

People are in their feelings because Miles won. Jesus people. It’s all fiction.

A missed opportunity could've been, Peter's name could've had a question mark in it or change between "Peter" and "???". As if Miles is struggling to know who he is fighting or who is listening. And a cool game mechanic could've been, the symbiote regenerates Peter every few seconds.

Gotta remember though, Symbiotes amplify and intensify the darkest parts and emotions of their hosts in order to make them more aggressive which releases the chemical Phenylethylalanine, which is what they feed on to stay alive.

Is it just me or does it feel like there's a scene missing between the fight and Peter ripping his suit off? Like a scene where Peter realizes "oh shit, this is not who i am" and THEN starts to rip off the symbiote?
